"I can only imagine all the important things that I'm missing…" she said with a sigh.

"you don't have to do this ya know. we did take my car so he's definitely outside" he said shaking his keys. "i can take you home. it's been an hour" he laughs

"I don't know if my friends would believe that, especially after they interrogated me about what happened."

"Then they can call me. They seem to have my friend's number"

"You're willing to do anything to get out of this, aren't you? I'm that bad, huh?" Bridget said with a light laugh.

"I just want out of this place." He laughs also "Also my books aren't gonna finish them-selves"

"I'd like to see what you're writing." Bridget was genuinely interested. She hardly ever read anything for fun anymore, unless you counted bank statements, bills, and contracts fun.

"Maybe I could show you sometime?"

"Is that a date?" she asked with a laugh.

"I guess" he sighs "just maybe at a café and not a restaurant"

"Okay, deal. And… not so formal?" She tugged on her dress's hem.

"definitely… I hate suits," He chuckled a little.

"And I'm not telling my friends," she added to herself.

"welp. shall we go?"

"We shall," Bridget said with a grin, following his lead.

He leads them outside just as Blake came from the store across the street "Speaking of friend."

Bridget followed his gaze. "Oh."

He growls at Blake "Phone. Now"

Bridget blinked in surprise.

blake handed him his phone "You must've hit it off"
"I'm just taking her home asshole"

Bridget shifted slightly. "Um… hi."

Blake rolls his eyes as he gets into the back seat
"mind giving me directions?"

Bridget, out of instinct, told him the address of her office.

"ok." he nods

She realized what she'd said. Well, she had work to do anyway.

He opens the passenger side's door for her

"Thank you. Um… see you later then? Do you need a phone number?" she asked.

"Sure. To contact you when you're free I guess?"

"I'm not free that often, but yeah," Bridget said, throwing the building a side glance.

"That's fine" He sighs "Anyways gotta take Blake home. see ya later"
Blake chuckles and whispers "knew it"
