(yeah sure!)
"Thanks," Barry said gently, slipping away and back to his own room. The door was unlocked when he tried it, and Caleb was inside, tapping away on a laptop. "Studying?" Barry asked him, receiving a nod. "You good now, man?" Caleb asked, and he nodded. Changing quickly, Barry crossed the hall again and knocked quietly.
Kasey had quickly changed into a black T-shirt and gray sweatpants after Barry left. When he knocked, she was sitting on her bed and searching for something to watch as she sipped on her hot cocoa. She looked up at the knock and flicked her hand to open the door for him.
(There once was a cat named Yoda
Who roamed the streets of Minnesota.
Until she got lost
On a trip that would cost
Her voice, once soft and light.
That voice was now hoarse,
Not smooth, but quite coarse.
And yet, still she meows all through the
night.)
(oml it's beautiful
you have a cat named Yoda? A++)
Barry entered, offering her a smile. "Hey. Better now?"
(Yeah, she has really big ears, so my mom named her Yoda. Lol.)
Kasey nodded. “Yeah, I’m doing a bit better. I’m getting a movie set up if you want to watch with me.”
(awww what breed is she?)
"For sure." Barry sat down next to her, wrapping one arm around her shoulders.
(I have no idea. Lol. Her mom was a street cat.)
Kasey leaned into him. “Any ideas? More AOS?”
(lol)
"SHIELD sounds good," he agreed. "But whatever you want."
(Her sisters were/are all tiny, but she’s giant…)
“I like that idea. Let’s just do that,” Kasey said softly as she pulled it up and snuggled into his side.
(oh oof)
Barry pulled the blankets over their legs, taking a sip of hot chocolate as he held her.
After about three episodes of the show, Kasey fell asleep with her head on Barry’s shoulder. The show continued to play on her laptop as she slept.
Barry closed the screen of the laptop, setting it on his bedside table before gently sliding down so that they were both lying down.
Kasey curled up closer to him in her sleep. She didn't dream this time, to her great relief, but there was just simply black. And Barry. That was what was keeping her grounded: his warm, safe arms…
(Sure. Morning? Or later?
Also, I think Kasey still owes him a dance…)
(Ooh Yeah
And up to you)
(Sorry my replies are slow, the stress is getting to me)
(I think we can do morning; then they can have their dance later in the day.
And don’t worry about it! Take your time.)
(Good morning! Yeah sure)
Barry blinked his eyes open with a yawn, stretching.
(Morning! How are you today?)
Kasey had her face buried in his shoulder as their legs were tangled together. Her arms were wrapped tightly around his torso, and it didn’t seem like she would be letting go any time soon.
(Good, you?)
Barry chuckled to himself, stroking her hair gently and shifting into a position that would hopefully be more comfortable for her. His forehead creased with worry, but he kept quiet, praying that her sleep had been undisturbed by dreams.
(Good. I’m glad you’re good.)
Kasey hummed when he touched her hair, then slowly stirred awake. She blinked a few times to get her eyes to focus before she looked up at Barry and gave him a small, sleepy smile.
“Morning…” she said softly before a yawn overtook her.
(Thanks, you too)
Barry’s heart pattered happily. “G’morning, love. How’d you sleep?” He smiled down at her affectionately.
“Pretty well, actually… I didn’t dream this time,” Kasey murmured, curling closer to him. He was warm, okay?
Barry chuckled quietly and turned to give her more access to his warmth. “I’m glad.”
(I like your new pfp!)
“What about you?” Kasey asked, giving him a small smile.
(Thanks :D)
“I slept pretty well,” he murmured, kissing the top of her head. “You’re so warm…”
“Mm-mm… You’re warmer,” Kasey argued, resting her chin on his shoulder.
“Whatever you say, love.” He pressed another kiss to the top of her head, curling protectively around her.
Kasey buried her face in his neck and closed her eyes again. “Are you hungry? Do you want me to make breakfast?”
Barry drew her legs closer with his own. “It’s fine, I’ll make something if you’re hungry. It’s really comfortable here, though.,”
