Kasey smiled and nodded her affirmation, and the waitress led them to an empty booth.
"My name is Julie. I'll be your waitress tonight. Please feel free to ask if you need anything," she said as she set menus down in front of them. "Can I start you off with anything to drink?"
"I'll just take a water, thanks," Kasey ordered with a polite smile.
“Uh, same here. Please.” Barry would’ve slid into the same booth as Kasey, but he felt oddly embarrassed with the waitress watching. He sat down across from his girlfriend, smiling at her.
(Woah! I just realized we're in page 98! When did that happen????
Also, good morning!)
"Two waters, then. I'll be right back with those," the waitress said with a smile before she walked away.
Kasey turned her attention back to Barry and gave him a curious smile. "You're sitting across from me today." It wasn't a question, more of an observation.
(blinks rapidly in astonishment
Wow that’s new
G’morning!)
His cheeks reddened slightly. “Do you want me to sit next to you?”
(Lol. Right? Gosh, I feel like we should celebrate or something when we reach 100…)
"You can sit wherever you want, babe," Kasey said with a shrug, still smiling at him. "I wouldn't object to you moving over here, but I certainly don't want you to move if you don't want to."
(Yass sure
Maybe we could do something with Barr and Kase?)
“Of course I want to!” he protested lightly, rising. A few seconds later and he was seated right next to her, blush deepening. “Better?”
(Oh, yeah! Like what, though…?)
Kasey chuckled a bit and leaned into him. "Yes, of course. But you really didn't have to move if you wanted to sit across from me."
(No idea Oof
The camping thing? Maybe they go on….. idk?? An exchange student trip? I have no idea?)
(‘Didn’t have to live’?)
Barry swept a kiss across her temple, snaking an arm around her side. “How could I resist sitting at your side?”
(Oops! Fixed, sorry…
I was thinking the camping trip would be fun!)
Kasey blushed a bit and grinned. "Well, I don't know… Maybe you just wanted to stare at me?" she joked with a shrug before kissing his cheek quickly.
(Lol np
Yeah sure!)
“Mm, I can stare at you better from here. Closer view,” he teased, tangling his fingers in her hair.
(Ack, sorry. Got pulled away by my fam…)
Kasey's blush deepened slightly. "I suppose that's true…"
(Np lol, sorry I wasn’t on, I was multitasking between being carsick and typing out the longest rp template I’ve even created)
He flashed her a teasing grin and picked up a menu. “I call paying.”
(Lol. It's np. I got dragged to a mall before my mom got sick…)
"You do that, dear," Kasey chuckled z bit, leaning into him as she picked up her own menu.
(Aw, hope she gets better)
“Great.” His eyes scanned the items for sale, contemplation evident on his face. “What are you thinking of getting?”
(Yeah, it was allergies from my stepdad’s parent’s farm. I think she’s doing better. We’re in a hotel now.)
“Hm… Maybe the sirloin steak? Or the chef salad,” Kasey mused with a shrug.
(Hope she gets back to 100% soon)
Barry looked over the options a couple times. “Uhh.. the lamb burger with the goat cheese looks good.”
(I think she’s doing better. We’re on our way home.
TYLER AND MACHA’S WEDDING!!!! ❤️❤️❤️)
Kasey hummed her agreement, nodding a bit. “It’s sounds good. Oohhhh… Did you look at the desserts? They have an ice cream sundae that looks amazing! We could split it.”
(Okay that’s good
AKSJAJSJDH IKR OMFG)
Barry chuckled, flicking the side of her head. “Slow down, Kase, we haven’t even chosen an appetizer.”
(Ah!!! I’m freaking out! That was too fricking adorable!!!)
Kasey stuck her tongue out at him playfully. “Yeah yeah… I just get a little excited about dessert sometimes, I guess…”
(Same omg)
“‘Course you do,” he continued to tease. “Sweet tooth, hm?”
“Yes, I have a sweet tooth. In fact, I have a whole mouthful of them,” Kasey chuckled.
Barry rolled his eyes, grinning. “I must be pretty sweet then, hm?”
Kasey blushed and glanced sideways at him. “Oh, hush… But, yes, you are…”
“Aw, that’s sweet.” Barry drew her to him and planted a kiss on her forehead.
“You’re welcome,” Kasey chuckled, her cheeks still light pink.
The waitress cane back with their drinks and set them in front of them. “All ready to order? Or should I come back in a bit?”
“Uh, I think we’re ready.” He glanced at Kasey. “Right?”
Kasey nodded with a smile. “I’m ready.”
“All right, then. What can I get for you?” the waitress asked, holding her pen and palaver at the ready.
“I’ll take the sirloin steak with a side of fries, please,” Kasey ordered, folding her menu and handing it over.
(G’morning! Happy New Year!!)
Barry placed his order as well, tugging Kasey closer up against his side. He handed the waitress his menu, smiling politely.
(Morning!
Happy New Year!!! Gosh, it’s so weird. My last month as a minor…)
“All right. I’ll be back with your food soon,” the waitress said, smiling as she took their menus and turned around to head to the kitchen.
Kasey looked over at Barry and smiled softly at him. She reached up to move a stray hair into place, then kissed his cheek gently.
(G’morning, you too! Oh wow, college minor?)
“I love you,” he told her with a voice softened by affection. “So much. You know that, right?”
