“Cool. Don’t pick your drink back up if you set it down, though,” Kasey said as she started toward the dance area.
“Cool. Don’t pick your drink back up if you set it down, though,” Kasey said as she started toward the dance area.
“That won’t be a problem,” Barry said and chugged the whole thing with a laugh. Immediately, a sort of buzz settled in his stomach. He followed Kasey, feeling strangely woozy.
Kasey chuckled and finished about half of her drink before tossing it in a garbage can. “Is my tongue blue?” she asked as she stuck it out.
Barry laughed, nodding and swaying a little. He stumbled, almost falling on top of her. The whole room tilted. “Let’s dance.”
“Woah… Are you okay?” Kasey asked, giving him a concerned look as she held onto him.
Barry nodded, grinning madly. “I’m happy to be here with you. C’mon Kase, lets daaaaaaaance.” His words were slurred, and the sound of sloppy rainfall could be heard from outside. Pulling her into the dance floor, he let out another laugh.
“Barry… Seriously, babe, something is wrong,” Kasey said, peering at him worriedly. “Oh, crap… The punch was spiked, wasn’t it?”
(Guess who’s 20 minutes early for work!!!
Yay…)
(Oh oof..)
“What’re you talking about?” Barry swayed backwards. “Babe, I wanna daaanceeee.”
(Lol. I walked in fifteen minutes early.)
“Barry, I think I should just take you home,” Kasey said softly, taking his hands in hers as she look up at him. “You need to sleep this off.”
( o o f )
Barry started to cry. "But I wanna daaaaaaance with you! You don't want to dance wif me???"
(lmao drunk Barry)
(Lol. This whole thing, tho.)
Kasey sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. Apparently, her boyfriend was very childish when he was drunk. Great.
“I do want to dance with you, hun, but sometime when you’re not drunk and will remember it,” she said softly, gently tugging him toward the door. “I promise we can dance some other time.”
(xD)
Barry continued to cry, stumbling as Kasey lead him away from the dance floor. Outside, the weather was completely out of wack, pouring rain one second then ridiculously sunny the nect, but the extent of his powers only reached until about twenty metres away.
"Remind me to never let you near alcohol again," Kasey muttered under her breath as they reached her car. They could come pick his up when he was sober again. "I'm driving you home and that's final, so stop crying, Bare. I'll even stay with you."
Barry perked up, looking at her with teary blue eyes. "Really? You'd do that?"
"Of course I would," Kasey sighed, opening the passenger side door and helping him in. "If I don't stay with you through the bad times, what kind of girlfriend would I be…?"
Barry's eyes went wide and his bottom lip trembled slightly. "You're my girlfriend?"
"Yes, hun, I am," Kasey said softly as she closed the door. She shook her head and walked around the car, sticking the key in the ignition as soon as she sat down. Not long after, they were finally on their way back to the apartment.
By this time, Barry was loudly hollering the off-key words of a song, swaying from side to side while rain poured all around them. "In tHe jUnGLe tHE MiGHty jUNgLe thE LiON sLeEpS toNiGHt–"
Kasey's lips twitched up momentarily as she listened to him singing, but it got more annoying as time passed. It was better than him crying, though, so she wasn't going to stop him.
(lol Kasey)
They pulled into the parking lot, with Barry out of breath and giggling like a five year old. The whole world tilted and swayed, everything seemed to be hilarious to him. "Where are we?"
"We're at home, Barry. C'mon, let's get you inside," Kasey said, speaking as if to a small child, as she got out and helped him out.
Barry staggered towards the door, humming 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody.'
Kasey wrapped an arm around his waist to keep him from falling over as she led him up to his dorm. This had been an interesting night, so far…
Barry leaned against her, giggling every few seconds. "Are you really my girlfriend?"
"Mmhm. Have been for a while, now," Kasey said as they reached his room. "Do you have your keys?"
"Keys, keys, keys, keys, keys keys keys keys keyskeyskeyskeyskeyskeyskeys…." Barry muttered, patting his back pockets in an interesting fashion before finally retrieving them. "Keys!"
Kasey took them from him and looked for the key that would fit. After trying a few, she finally managed to unlock the door and help Barry inside.
"All right, let's get you to bed…"
Barry stumbled in, twirling around to get a good look at his surroundings before slumping, face down, on his bed. "Is this m'bed?"
"Yup, it is," Kasey chuckled slightly. She walked over and sat beside him, running her fingers through his hair a bit. "You should sleep, hun."
Barry curled up on his side, tugging the covers over his body and looking up at her through half-closed lids, suddenly tired. "Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I should…."
