(yeah sorry if I take a while responding
a few are rps I'm stalking
would you mindstarting? my brain is fried, I'm sorry)
(Lol. It’s still a lot.
Of course! It’s no problem.)
Kasey sighed and ran a hand through her slightly curled hair for the millionth time as she waited for Barry. Her gaze flicked around the room and the guests of the party. It was loud everywhere. And crowded. She really hoped he would get there soon.
(Also… I’m not sure how well I’d do if I was making the guy hit on her, so would you mind?
And I have to go for the night. sigh)
(yeah for sure
gnight, sleep tight)
Barry was running down the stairs of the dormitory building when he realized he'd forgotten his phone around. Whirling around, he sprinted back, knowing he was late and needed to hurry up.
(ack that posted prematurely)
meanwhile~
Alistair took another long drag from his blunt (apologies for the topic), expelling a cloud of smoke into the air with a deep chuckle. His eyes travelled lazily around the room before– Oh. Now that was a pretty girl. And single too, by the looks of it, there was no other guy hanging around her. He smirked and slowly approached, swaying slightly.
Kasey glanced down at her phone. The time read 9:00 PM… Barry should have been there by now.
She glanced up to see a man coming toward her and froze momentarily. What was he doing?
Alistair walked up to her with a smirk on his face, knowing full and well how good looking he was. “Hey.”
“Um. Hi,” Kasey said, giving him a small smile. She’d play this politely until Barry arrived. “Can I help you?”
Alistair offered her a charming smile. “Mmhm. Dance with me?” His eyes traveled over the pretty planes of her face, taking everything in.
Barry finally arrived on the front steps of the house where the party was taking place, chest heaving, face flushed. He knocked three times, smiling gratefully at the guy who let him in. Once inside, he scanned the rooms for Kasey— and then froze. There was a guy. Leaning on the wall next to her. And grinning flirtatiously.
“Oh. Um, no thanks. I’m actually waiting for someone. Sorry,” Kasey said, the polite smile unwavering from her lips. And that’s all it was: polite.
Alistair made a pouty face and slid closer. “Aw, you’re no fun. Come on, just one dance?”
Barry stood there, perfectly still, for a full three seconds before stalking up to the guy and stopping behind Kasey. “What’s going on here?” He glared at the guy, putting a protective hand on Kasey’s shoulder.
Kasey let out a soft breath. Finally, he was there.
“He asked for a dance, but I let him know I was waiting for you,” she said, turning to face Barry slightly, her smile becoming more genuine when she looked at him. She did leave out the part about the guy asking again, though. No need to rile him up further, right?
Barry’s eyes softened when he looked down at Kasey, and he drew her closer to him, tucking her up against his side. They hardened again when they landed back on the black-haired guy. “Well, I’m here now, so you can piss off.”
Alistair resisted a growl at this new guy, the pretty girl’s boyfriend. “Of course she has a boyfriend. Just my luck. All the hot ones do. Goddammit. I do think she could’ve done better than you, though..”
Kasey blinked at the guy as she wrapped her arm around Barry. “Excuse me?”
Barry’s eyes darkened and thunder boomed outside, loud enough to be heard even through all the noise of the party. “Back. Off. Now.”
Alistair clenched his jaw, stepping forward threateningly. “Give me one good reason why I should.”
“Bare… It’s not a big deal. Why don’t we go get some punch or something?” Kasey whispered, hoping to calm him down a bit. They really didn’t need to get into a fight at this party. Or at all, for that matter.
Barry have the guy one last glare before relenting and letting Kasey lead him away. “I’m so sorry I came late— I forgot some stuff in my room and had to run back—“
“It’s okay. Don’t worry about it,” Kasey said, looking up at him with a small smile. “So. Punch… Red or blue?”
“Red,” Barry replied absently, reluncuant to change the subject. In his distraction, he didn’t realize that the red punch was the option with alcohol. “Kase, what did he do to you?”
Kasey poured them a couple of cups of punch; red for Barry, blue for herself.
“Nothing, honestly. He just asked to dance,” she assured him with a shrug as she handed him his cup. “I mean, he was pretty persistent about it, but I told him no and wouldn’t have changed my mind.”
“I don’t have a doubt about that,” Barry assured her, taking a big gulp of punch. A burning sensation went down his throat, and he frowned at the cup. “What’s in this? Anyways, I’m note worried about him harassing you.”
Kasey shrugged and glanced at the container. “I have no idea what’s in it,” she said with a shrug. “I’m fine, Bare. Trust me. Nothing happened. You showed up before anything could have.”
Sorry I mean ‘more worried about him harassing you’
I’m on my phone and autocorrect is my mortal enemy

(Oh, lol. I’ll change mine, then.)
Sorry
(It’s fine. I fixed it. No worries.)
Kasey shrugged and glanced at the container. “I have no idea what’s in it,” she said with a shrug. “I’m fine, Bare. Trust me. Nothing happened. You showed up before anything could have.”
Barry sighed, taking another long drink. “I know. Let’s just forget about that guy and have some fun. We’re at a party for god’s sake.”
“That we are. Do you want to dance?” Kasey asked, taking a sip of her own drink. The blue color stained her tongue and a bit of her lips.
“Mm, lets.” Barry slipped an arm around her shoulders. “I can hear Whitney Houston playing.”
