Orion’s eyes flicked up into the air, catching her scent. He could see just the slightest bit of her outline moving through the air and almost laughed. His species vision was known to be based on movement, and she was moving at a decent speed. He strode back into the store, flicking the light to the backroom off.
She flew all the way to the city, and landed on top of a building. She folded her wings, and let herself be seen again, collapsing on the roof.
Orion turned the lights off, and his vision became something like a thermal scanner. He left the building, locking the doors behind him.
Castor pulled up his car to the gas pump and filled the tank, but he immediately was drawn to some commotion occurring in the store. He finished pumping gas and drove the car into a parking spot to clear a spot at the pump while he went inside to investigate.
Emori climbed down the fire escape, and hopped onto the side-walk. She felt a lot better now, thanks to her speed healing.
Orion spotted the man trying to go in and peered at him. “Just closed, buddy!” He called. He walked around to the back of the building and made his way towards a small area of woods.
Castor stopped in his tracks and was unable to go inside. It was an oddly specific moment in time for a store to close, he thought. It wasn't the top or middle of the hour. He sensed that the man who stopped him was up to no good and followed him very quietly.
Orion made his way into the woods, stopping when he got to a more dense area. He could smell something human nearby, but it didn’t matter to him. He didn’t try to hide his abilities, and it was fun to give a scare. He looked down at his arms and hands as the skin began to dissolve from them, revealing a gray, thick layer underneath. His bones cracked and popped as he slowly shifted. His nails grew, and his teeth formed into long, needle like fangs. Eventually, he stood taller at around 6’9, yet he was hunched over slightly. His gray skin was pulled taught, showing his ribs and bones clearly. His eyes were still red, but they were now sunken in and beady. He let out an inhuman screech, it being high pitched and ear splitting.
Castor was intrigued when he saw Orion's transformation at first, but felt every muscle in his body tense up when Orion let out that awful screech. More curious than afraid still, Castor drew in even closer, perhaps dangerously so.
Orion sniffed at the air, an animalistic instinct setting in. His head snapped around, looking at the man from before. He made a noise between a hiss and a screech. He slowly stalked towards the man, his heat vision like sight allowing him to see where he was. But when the man occasionally went still, he disappeared from Orion’s vision.
Castor stood still, amazed at the creature before him. He wondered if he should speak- if he should try to strike up a conversation. He was simply curious, and wanted to understand what this creature was.
Orion moved right in front of him, towering over the man. He growled, but a twig snapped in the distance, and he snapped in that direction. He could see the thermal shape of what looked like a large bear, and he snarled, taking off after it at an astounding speed. When he caught up to the large animal, it growled and clawed at him. He let out another screech and left onto the animal, tearing into it violently. Eventually, the bear lay dead, its body ripped open and torn apart in some areas, and its head was laying a few feet away. Orion dug into the chest of it, ripping apart the flesh and devouring the muscle.
Castor saw what played out next and decided it was time to go. He quickly snapped a picture of the creature on his phone and ran, knowing that it was more sensible to leave and figure out what the creature was later, because he had a feeling this wouldn't be the last time he saw it.
(… hey guys… I’m back from homework…)
Orion noticed the flash, but was too starving to care. He continued to rip into the bear, eating ravenously. Blood was splattered across his gray skin, and he continued to eat.
(Welcome back.)
(I've got to leave now. Goodnight!)
( I come back from sketching and find “Blood was splattered across his gray skin, and he continued to eat.” … it freaked me out a little, then I remembered that it was this certain roleplay. ._. Bye @Becfromthedead !)
Lucille sat in the car, her mom was driving silently. Lucille quietly remembered what she had seen at the gas station. Then she remembered that their new house was scarily close to a forest, a forest full of eerie smells. It smells safe in the daytime, but dangerous at night.
(I don't mind! Also, my character looks severely underpowered compared to everyone else, but I guess we'll see where that goes.)

Emori strode down the street, fully healed and happy. Well… maybe not happy. There was a non-human, and he discovered her. He had to live in the city, or at least near the city. No matter what, she masked her scent with her abilities. ( Basically, a form of making her scent invisible ) Surely, the man wouldn't recognize her, since her grey shirt no longer looked brown, and her skin no longer looked in horrible condition. She'd also washed her hair, and had it in a half-up-half-down sort of thing. Hopefully he didn't have a very good memory if he lived around here.
Castor was at home, and woke up slumped over the keyboard to his computer. He'd been up much of the night, trying to figure out what Orion was, but the Internet had nothing to offer. Maybe Orion was an alien? Castor couldn't help worry. He knew if there was trouble, he would probably be wanted to help stop it, yet he felt as if his powers were not strong enough to beat that thing he saw in the forest.
Emori walked into a coffee-shop, and ordered in large and black. She sipped it hungrily, thankfully for the heat burning her mouth.
Castor took a shower and left the house with his backpack slung over his left shoulder after telling his mother where he was headed. He went to the nearest coffee shop to clear his mind and get some caffeine in his system. Castor ordered a caramel latte with espresso shots and sat down alone somewhere, sipping his drink. He pulled a book out of his bag and began reading, but before he knew it, he'd nodded off again and jerked back awake.
Emori sighed as she sat down, and pulled her lap-top out of her bag. ( That I forgot to mention she has. But thats where she kept her money to pay for the drink so…. ) She opened it, and started typing crazy-fast, searching for anything she could find about that boy last night.
Castor shut the book and pulled out his phone. He didn't know what he could research at this point. It was time to start asking around. He pulled up the picture of the creature he'd seen and approached Emori.
"Excuse me. If you're not busy, I'm researching a creature for a… um… project, and I have the image of what I'm looking for, but I can't seem to find anything about it on the Internet. Would you take a look and tell me if you know anything?"
Emori nodded and smiled. She took the phone and examined the picture, and gasped when she figured out what it was.
