Barry's heart skipped several beats. He tilted her head up so that he could properly look at her.
Barry's heart skipped several beats. He tilted her head up so that he could properly look at her.
Kasey looked at him, her cheeks bright red, and smiled shyly.
"Hey," she whispered softly.
Barry leaned forward, nudging his nose sweetly against hers. "Hey yourself."
"So… That was fun," Kasey said quietly, her smile turning into half of a smirk.
"I wholeheartedly agree." He ran a hand through her hair, mussing it a bit. "Do I get to call you pet names soon?"
"That depends on what you have in mind," Kasey said, moving her arms so that they were wrapped around Barry's waist.
Barry's breath caught. He copied her motion, settling his hands on her middle. "Sweetheart. Darling. Anything cheesy."
"Then, sure. I like those ones," Kasey murmured, smiling up at him. "Then I get to call you pet names, too."
"Of course." He couldn't resist a huge, ridiculously happy grin. "Like what?"
"Mm… Babe and dear?" Kasey said with a small shrug.
"I like those. Sweetheart."
"Well, I'm glad, babe," Kasey giggled.
Barry laughed, pushing himself off the wall. "So, what do you want to do?"
Kasey shrugged and let go of him as she looked around the room. Her gaze drifted back to him, and she smiled.
"What board games do you have?"
“Uhh, Monopoly? Sorry? Let me check.” He crouched down, peering under Caleb’s bed.
Kasey watched him with an amused smile. She rubbed her lips together for a moment before reaching up to lightly brush her fingers against them, remembering how Barry's had felt on her own.
He finally pulled out a stack of boxes and games. “Ta-da.” Giving her a crooked grin, doing a poor imitation of jazz hands.
Kasey laughed lightly at his silliness. "Wow, very good. What do you think we should play?"
"Up to you. Err, there's not much in here. Ever played Sorry?"
"Yeah, I have. Should we play that?" Kasey wondered.
“Sure.” He opened it up. “I call blue.”
"I'll take yellow, then," Kasey said with a smile. "Where… Where should I sit?"
"Right here." Barry tugged on her arm, drawing her up against his side.
(Sure.)
Kasey yawned and blinked tiredly. "I think you won…" she murmured, rubbing her eyes.
Barry glanced up at her. "Tired?"
"Mmhm… It's been a long day," Kasey murmured, yawning again.
“You should sleep, if you’re tired.” He stood up, helping her stand. “I’ll clean up, you can take Caleb’s bed if you want.”
(Can Barry have a lil nightmare and wake up in the middle of the night?)
(Of course!)
"I'll sleep wherever," Kasey said, giving him a quick smile. "Thank you."
(Morning)
Barry’s smile was a little flustered when he looked up. He slid the boxes back under the bed, standing up and dusting his hands off.
(Good morning! How're you?)
"Um… So, I kind of need something to sleep in," Kasey murmured, chewing on her lower lip.
