Barry chuckled, self-consciously running a hand through his hair as the elevator doors slid open and they stepped out into the parking lot. "Do you know when you're graduating?"
Barry chuckled, self-consciously running a hand through his hair as the elevator doors slid open and they stepped out into the parking lot. "Do you know when you're graduating?"
"It should be next year," Kasey said with a shrug. "And then I can either go back and get a bigger degree or be out of here!"
"Which do you think you'll do?", he asked, holding the door of his car open for her.
Kasey smiled at him as she slid into the seat. "I'm not sure yet. It's probably a good thing I still have a year-ish to decide."
"Yeah. Music? You can choose." Barry fastened his seatbelt, waiting for her to do the same before backing out of his parking spot.
"Of course," Kasey chuckled as she reached over and turned the radio on. "I feel like this is the main thing we do on drives: listen to music."
"Well, you seem to like it. Is there anything you'd rather do? We can do that instead.", Barry suggested, wanting to look over at her but refraining from doing so, keeping his eyes on the road.
"No, I like it. It's nice to sit with you and just listen and drive," Kasey assured him with a smile. "Unless you'd rather do something else?"
Barry shook his head with a smile. "Nothing that I can think of."
"Okay, so music it is," Kasey said with a grin.
"Yup." Barry inhaled, mind flickering back to the kiss they'd shared a few minutes ago. "I was thinking we could go for Thai food? There's a good restaurant I know nearby."
"Sounds good! I don't think I've ever actually had Thai food," Kasey admitted as she leaned back in her seat, curling her legs up. "You might have to help me order."
(Thai food is delicious dear lord)
"It's probably my favourite cuisine.", Barry told her. "I'm sure you'll like it. Do you like spice?"
(Lol. I remember you saying that a few days ago.)
"Of course. Who doesn't like spice?" Kasey chuckled.
(oof I'm super forgetful sorry)
"I used to hate it, but I like it now. How much can you handle?"
(It's fine. Lol. I tell people things, like, three times sometimes.)
"Um… Like, six and a half out of ten?" Kasey said with a shrug.
(same tho)
Barry nodded. "Not too bad. I hadn't pegged you down as a spicy kind of girl."
"I'll eat most everything," Kasey stated with a grin. "But spicy food is really good. Why do you think I like Mexican?"
"Good point." Barry pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant, unbuckling his seat belt.
Kasey followed suite and moved to get out of the car.
"That was fast. Good thing, too. I'm hungry," she half joked.
"Yeah, it's close by." Barry looped an arm through hers, pressing a kiss to her temple. "Shall we?"
Kasey smiled at the kiss and placed one on his cheek, setting her free hand on his arm. "We shall."
They walked into the restaurant, a cozy, family run business, delicious aromas wafting up around them. "Reservation for Barry?", he asked one of the staff. "Right this way."
"Mm… It smells so good in here," Kasey said softly as they walked to their table.
"And the food is delicious, just wait." They sat down at a book, but instead of sitting across from her, Barry slid into the booth right next to her.
"Well, hey there," Kasey laughed lightly, patting his leg. "This is a nice change."
Barry blushed, eyes flicking down to her hand, still resting on his leg. “Mm.”
"Sorry," Kasey murmured, pulling her hand back when she saw his gaze.
“No, no.” Barry leaned forward a press a kiss to her cheek. “You just caught me off-guard.”
"Okay… So, what would you suggest?" Kasey asked, taking his hand with a smile.
