"Wow, Lincoln with a girlfriend. Never thought we'd see the day." Lucas laughed as he fished the small tool kit out and pulled a screw driver from it. He put the screws in their places and screwed them in.
"Wow, Lincoln with a girlfriend. Never thought we'd see the day." Lucas laughed as he fished the small tool kit out and pulled a screw driver from it. He put the screws in their places and screwed them in.
"I know, right?" Daisy laughed, checking the label of a box. She frowned when she noticed that it belonged in another room. "I'll be right back. I've gotta take this to the kitchen."
"Alrighty." Lucas looked up and smiled at her before going back to what he was doing. Finishing up with the last screw he stood and took a step back. Glad that it'd been easy to put together.
Daisy bent down and lifted the box with a huff before lugging it out to the kitchen. How had she even put it in the wrong room? Man, she must be more exhausted than she thought.
Lucas stuffed his tool kit back in his pocket and followed her to the kitchen. "Need anymore help with anything? I've got plenty of time."
"Um… My dresser needs to be put together," Daisy said with a shrug.
Lucas rubbed his hands together with a grin, "alright. More putting things together."
"Honestly, though, you don't have to do this," Daisy said as she started toward her room again.
"Then are you going to be putting it together Anytime soon?" Lucas shot her a joking grin as he followed.
"Well…" Daisy trailed off, looking over at him with a sheepish smile. "I probably wouldn't…"
"Exactly, Pluse what are friends for if not free slavery? Am I right?" Lucas smiled before pointing at the exit of her room. "I'm going to run over to my house and grab the right tools."
Daisy chuckled and nodded. "All right. Thanks so much, Lucas."
Lucas nodded his head and quickly made his way back to his house. He didn't own many, but he found the right kind of tool-and grabbed the drill bits that went along with it- and made his way back over to Daisy's.
Daisy had gone back to organizing her room. She set the mattress on the bed frame, made the bed, and then dragged over a nightstand to the side of the bed while she waited to Lucas to come back.
"Hey I'm back- wow that was fast." Lucas looked at her already made bed, and the night stand. "so where's the dresser that needs putting together?"
"I was bored," Daisy admitted with a sheepish smile. She pointed at a large box leaning on a wall. "It's right here. I'll help you with this one; it seemed a bit more complicated."
"Great, let me guess. Ikea?" Lucas shot a joking grin and went over to the box. He opened it and started pulling pieces out and leaning them agents the wall.
"Yeah, actually," Daisy said with a slight laugh as she rubbed the back of her neck a bit. She joined Lucas by the box of parts and sat down beside it. "Have you found the instructions yet?"
"Nop- here they are." Lucas pulled out the instructions and handed them to her. "But this is ikea, we might be better off with out instructions."
"I'm not risking it," Daisy said jokingly as she opened them and peered at them.
"What, scared we'll make a slide instead?" Lucas joked, "Seems to be enough pieces." Finishing pulling out all the parts he started looking for the sides.
"I mean, as cool as it would be to have a slide in my room, I think a dresser would be more useful," Daisy chuckled as she pulled out a few pieces to start with.
Lucas looked at the size of the screws and pulled out the right drill bit. "This looks right."
(Sorry its so short.)
(It's fine.)
"What if you start putting it together, while I find and organize all the pieces?" Daisy suggested, glancing up at him from the instructions.
"Sounds like a plan. Divide and councor." Lucas put the drill bit on the drill and started it up. He placed the screws in place and started drilling them in.
Daisy hummed as she started searching for and organizing parts of the dresser. Smaller pieces were set in one pile, while she placed the larger ones in a different place.
"Can I see the instructions?" Lucas asked, looking up from the parts he was putting together.
"Yeah, of course. Here you go," Daisy said, passing them over with a smile.
"Thanks." Lucas looked at the instructions, taking a moment to think. "Hey did you see this piece?" He pointed to the picture on the instructions.
"Um…" Daisy glanced at the picture before digging around in one of the piles for a bit. When she didn't find it there, she checked with the other pieces and pulled it out with a triumphant smile. "Found it!"
