"Couldn't you just send them a letter?" Lilah asked, hugging him gently.
"Couldn't you just send them a letter?" Lilah asked, hugging him gently.
Cameron sighed. “I haven’t seen them in years. It’s better to go see them face to face, than sending them a letter and them telling me to come see them.”
"Well… I could come with you," Lilah suggested, resting her chin on his shoulder. "That way you wouldn't be alone."
Cameron smiled softly at her. “Would you? That’d be wonderful.” He hugged her closer, setting his head against hers.
"Of course I would. You think I'd let you leave me here alone with the dogs?" Lilah chuckled, kissing his cheek before burying her face in his shoulder.
Cameron smiled happily and hugged her closer. “No, I don’t think you would.” He probably would miss her too much to go by himself, too.
(Happy 4th anniversary to my mom and stepdad… I forgot that was today. Lol.)
"I'm really glad we're getting married," Lilah murmured happily.
(Oof xD)
Cameron squeezed her. “I am too. I’m very excited.”
(My mom mentioned it when I got home from work because there was a card for them sitting on the table and it caught my eye.)
"And now Lilac and Lily will be sisters," Lilah chuckled.
(Was she upset with you forgetting?)
Cameron chuckled with her. “Like they didn’t act like it before.”
(Oh, nonono, she just mentioned it. I remembered it throughout the week but forgot it today. Lol.)
"That's true… Have you seen either of them?" Lilah asked, pulling back slightly to look around a bit.
(Lol. Just making sure.)
Cameron glanced up. “Now that you mention it, no.”
(Yeah, they don't get upset over stuff like that. That'd be kinda lame…)
"Hm… I bet Lilac fell asleep in front of the oven again," Lilah chuckled. "Should we go look for them?"
Cameron rubbed the back of Lilah’s head. “We fed them this morning, right?”
"Yeah, I did. I think you were still asleep when they came whining," Lilah teased him with a smirk.
Cameron rolled his eyes and shifted against her. “Then they’ll be okay. When do you think we should leave for our trip back to my home?”
"Well… Sooner is probably better than later, right?" Lilah mused, looking thoughtful. "Maybe later this week?"
Cameron nodded. “Sounds good. Thursday, maybe? We could grab an airplane or a train over.”
(The roads were icy. It was scary. I saw a car flipped on its side…)
"Sure," Lilah nodded, smiling up at him softly. She reached up to peck him on the lips before standing. "I'll be right back. Bathroom."
(Oh no! What did you go out for??)
Cameron smiled and shifted away from her. “Okay. I’ll be here.”
(Church. And now work… sigh)
Lilah quickly made her way to the bathroom and did what she had to do. When she was finished, she started back toward the living room, passing Lilac sitting beside their bedroom door on the way.
The dog lifted her head and wagged her tail when Lilah passed her. Bending down, Lilah rubbed her ears and kissed the top of her head before she went back to join Cameron on the couch again.
Cameron was looking around the apartment like he’s never seen it before. He seemed to be more or less zoned out. He glanced up when she approached and smiled.
"Hey. Whatchu thinkin' about?" Lilah asked as she sat beside him and wrapped her arms around him.
Cameron grinned at her and hugged her close. “Just stuff.” He kissed her gently.
"What kinda stuff?" Lilah murmured before kissing him back.
Cameron kept her in the kiss, his eyes closing. “Mmm… stuff.”
"You're not gonna tell me, are you?" Lilah asked against his lips, closing her eyes as well.
Cameron laughed gently and pulled her closer, setting their foreheads together. “Nah. To be honest, I don’t even know what I was thinking about.”
(I feel like my insides are being torn apart… I hate being sick.)
Lilah laughed softly. "Of course you didn't."
(;u;)
Cameron smiled into her cheek and shut his eyes. “What were you expecting?”
