Zackary trotted after her. “Anything you’re— oh, the gray shirt?” He gave a gentle laugh as she wandered over to it.
Zackary trotted after her. “Anything you’re— oh, the gray shirt?” He gave a gentle laugh as she wandered over to it.
"What? My fashion sense isn't to your liking." Afriel quickly looked away from the shirt.
Zackary smiled warmly at her. “No, no. It’s just… it looks like the shade of my light gray eye.”
"Your point?" Afriel sighed and looked around for another plain color shirt that had puffy slevees.
Zackary shook his head, feeling slightly flustered. “Nevermind. Get whatever you want.”
Afriel ended up grabbing a few t-shirts and some jeans and shorts. Aiming for normal clothes, that wouldn't stick out.
Zackary gave a slight nod. “Ready to check out this stuff?”
"Yeah." Afriel made her way to the counter and quickly payed for her stuff.
Zackary followed her, waiting patiently. When it was his turn, he paid for his things, ordered a bag and turned to Afriel.
“Ready?”
"Yeah. Where to next?" Afriel peered up at Zackary, still kinda amazed he'd wanted to go shopping.
Zackary shrugged. “I don’t care. Wherever you’d like.”
Afriel looked around and shrugged. "I'd like to go where ever you are." Once she heard herself she quickly tried to correct it, "no I mean, I like being with you." Her face turned a bright shade of red.
Zackary smiled warmly. “Right, I understand. Did you wanna go get some food?”
Afriel nodded her head not wanting to trust her mouth at the moment. Worried that she'd make a fool of herself.
Zackary lead her to a resturant, where they were seated into a booth with a couple menus.
“What did you wanna get?” Zackary asked as he disappeared behind a menu.
Afriel quickly picked up the menu. "Well, anything with fruit?" Even in the army they where always supplied with fruit, and even if she didn't admit it, She really did miss it.
“Mmm I dunno. But there’s some tasty looking cake we could share.” Zackary gazed hungrily at thr picture.
"Yeah sure. It looks good." Afriel put her menu down and smiled slightly.
Zackary selected a chicken dish that looked good to him and set the menu down. He smiled back at Afriel.
“So.”
Afriel looked up at Zackary and raised an eyebrow. "So?"
Zackary gave her a look of upmost randomness. “So.”
Afriel cocked her head to the side, "is there something you wanted to say?"
Zackary blinked at her. “No. Is there something you wanted me to say?”
"You're the one who said so first." Though Afriel did wish he'd say something, even is she didn't know what she wanted him to say.
“Then what’s the point of expecting me to talk? I have nothing to say.”
Afriel sighed and rested her head on her hands. "Nothing? At all?"
Zackary shrugged. “Unless you wanted me to say something.”
"Well something yes. you know, make conversation?"
Zackary rubbed his temples. “Nah, I can't do that. Sorry.” He grinned.
Afriel rolled her eyes at Zackary. "So you'd prefer an awkward silence?"
