Ava’s eyes widened as she looked around. “What the hell is going on?” She asked.

"I'm not sure." Kaitlin replied to Ava, standing from the chair and heading to the main part of the library.

Ladon helped them with the bookshelf next. He kicked the legs off a library table methodically, and gave one to the two who he helped with the bookshelf, and to the two girls who were socializing earlier.
"Take these as weapons." He demanded, as panic set in.

Kaitlin took one and eyed the him cautiously, "Why?"

"So you people can protect yourselves!" He said, as the thing rammed into the barricade. He scanned the room for another couch.

“What the hell is that?!” Kaitlin took a step back from the door and swallowed, trying to keep her nerves down.

Ladon picked up the now legless table and raised it over his head, ready to bash in the head of whatever got through. He saw a bit of the thing through the window and recoiled in shock.
It wasn't human.

"Is that girl still in the hallway?" Leon asked, alarmed, "You know, the one who warned us there were monsters?"
He grabbed a table leg, but he knew that if whatever it was came in here, it was over. He wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight.

Ava tried to stand up strong and hold the leg like it was a sword. She knew he basics of fight from well fighting but whatever was on the other side of that door wasn’t human. She looked around at the others. If that hung came through that door everyone in here was dead.

Jamie's grip was weak as he held the leg. "We're going to die, aren't we?" He asked, his eyes burning. Was he crying? Probably. The thing rammed against the door again, and managed to get it open a couple inches. Screams echoed from the hallway, and blood dripped from the creature's mouth. It's eyes were just as black as its inky form. Jamie dropped the leg out of shock.

The creature continued to slam its body against the door. The furniture in front of the door only seemed to spur it on, and it hit harder and with renewed energy. Each light flickered, going out one by one. As the very last light in the library, the one by the door, finally blinked out of existence, Jamie swore he saw the creature, in all its horrific glory, grin.

When the creature finally busted the door off its hinges, the screams started.

Ladon hurled the legless table at the thing with amazing power and speed grazing the creature, before hinting as if he were running off, attempting to get it to chase him.

Leon had frozen. He dropped the table leg and was practically cemented where he stood.
"Jesus christ…" he muttered.

(Just a heads up, they don't actually have their powers yet)

Jamie could barely hear the creature's movements over his own harsh breathing. He reached down blindly, feeling for the table leg, when he felt something grab his arm. Blinding pain shot through him as he was pulled to the ground, and the creature bit down on his leg. He let out a loud cry, and soon enough found himself passing out from the pain. The creature threw his body against the wall and continue to stalk around the room.

Ava looked at the beast with wide eyes. She slowly backed up and made sure Kaitlin was safe behind her.

Leon saw what happened to Jamie and right away went to help him. He was still breathing, but he was bleeding, and Leon was scared of whatever had done that. He scanned the room and his eyes set on the creature.
"Hey… hey… you okay there?" Leon asked frantically, even though Jamie was out.
He trembled a little as the creature came back his direction, and he knew the best option would probably be to divert its attention from Jamie.

Ladon threw a computer monitor at the thing to distract it. The thing charged him with uncanny movement, ramming into him and biting down on his shoulder. He punched it in the face to no avail, before it tossed him into the wall like it had done to the smaller kid. He tried to get up, but by then it had moved on.

The monster started to move to Ana and Kaitlin. She looked at Kaitlin “hide,” she whispers before moving away from her and standing up straight. She wanted to give the others time to take cover. She got ready and threw the table leg at it.

(I know. He is already unusually [although not superhumanly quite yet] strong.)

(Okay, well try not to make him too OP. The way you're describing him and his actions is making him seem like he's indestructible. He's not freaked out whatsoever by the events that are happening, and somehow he's already unnaturally strong. Please don't make him some sort of god, because it's not really that fair to the other characters. There really should be some sort of drawback to his power)

Leon cursed under his breath upon Jamie's unresponsiveness, but the creature was getting closer. He stood up and away from the other boy and started running. He was fast, but the monster was much faster. He didn't even hear it coming up behind him. Leon was just taken. Grabbed by claws to the abdomen. He let out a wail of pain and hit the floor. His breathing quickened as he realized that he was probably about to die.

Ana cursed as she saw that the leg didnt affect the monster. So instead she just stood here in shock for a moment. She had no ideas on what to do.

(Yeah, definitely.)

Ladon struggled to get up, his lungs burned as if on fire, and his heart was seemingly about to burst. His joints gave out. His vision seemed blurry, but he couldn't tell due to the darkness.
He was none the wiser when he slipped into unconsciousness.

Kaitlin swallowed and blinked, fighting away the tiredness that became unbearably overwhelming. She reached out a hand which rested on Ana's shoulder, "Ana…"She couldn't say more before her legs gave out and her vision left.

Ana caught Kaitlin right before she reached the floor. She quickly dragged her and placed her safely behind a bookshelf. When she stood up straight she saw that the movement must have attracted the monster. It walked over to her. It’s arm swooped amdien and picked her up. Her eyes swelled up with tears and she screamed. The monster threw her at the wall like all the others. She passed out before she could scream again.
