"Definitely," Lilah agreed. She smirked at Cameron before shrugging. "I guess that means you'll just have to come over again, doesn't it?"
"Definitely," Lilah agreed. She smirked at Cameron before shrugging. "I guess that means you'll just have to come over again, doesn't it?"
Cameron leaned back on his hands. “I’ll have to? What makes you think I won’t?”
"Nothing, Cameron. I was just teasing you," Lilah assured him with a small smile.
Cameron rolled his eyes. “Unfortunately, you were, huh?” Cameron clapped a hand to his mouth.
"What do you mean?" Lilah asked, her eyebrows scrunched together in confusion.
(bRUH I DIDN’T SEE THIS UNTIL NOW WHAT)
Cameron shook his head. “Do you want any more popcorn?” He asked hastily, holding up the bag.
(Lol. I was wondering why you weren't responding. Don't worry, it's all good.)
"Yeah, I do. But I also kinda want to know what you meant," Lilah pressed, leaning slightly closer.
(then the APP problems attacked)
Cameron handed her the bag, his collar itching over his heating neck. "Doesn't matter. Take as much as you want, I'm about to put it away."
(Geez, seriously. It took six hours for them to get fixed.)
Lilah raised an eyebrow as she took the bag of popcorn and tossed a piece into her mouth.
"Okay, we can just sit here, then, and I'll wonder about it."
(I knowwww it's when I had downtime too like bruh)
Cameron nodded stupidly. "Yep, sitting here and wondering about stuff is a great thing to do."
(Saaaaaaaame.)
"Mm-hm. Jumping to conclusions is always great, huh?" Lilah asked, another couple of piece of popcorn getting tossed into her mouth.
Cameron rubbed his knuckles against the bed, which only dipped a little, considering it was a water bed.
"What do you mean?" He managed to ask, even stupider than his head-shake.
Lilah looked at Cameron, simply blinking a few times.
"I mean, if you don't tell me what you meant, I'm just going to jump to conclusions," she explained slowly. "I don't want to do that, but I don't want you to feel like you have to tell me."
Cameron shook his head, feeling his own stupidity. "No, I wasn't trying to imply anything," He lied directly through his teeth.
"If you say so," Lilah sighed. She handed him the bag of popcorn. "Here, I'm done. It's getting late. I should probably start to head out."
Cameron nodded, feeling distinctly put out. "What… what did you think I was trying to say?" He felt his face heat up then busied himself with curling up the popcorn bag.
Lilah shrugged tightly. "I don't know, Cameron. Maybe that you don't really want to come back to my place? I don't know," she sighed, standing.
Cameron blinked at her and rose too. "No… that's not what I was trying to say! Not… not at all! Why wouldn't I want to go back?"
"Like I said, I don't know. I don't want to think that's what you meant – and trust me, I'm trying to think of what else you could have meant – but… I don't know," Lilah said with another shrug.
Cameron grinned at her a little. "I wasn't trying to say anything. When do you want me to go over next? I'm free whenever."
Especially for you.
"Whenever you want, Cameron," Lilah sighed, picking her things up. "I won't stop you."
Cameron dipped his gaze and his grin vanished as he recognized her finishing tone. "Alright," He mumbled, "see you whenever."
(that made me feel genuinely sad why)
(I'm evil, I'm sorry. It's making me really sad, too.)
Lilah nodded silently and started for the door. She pulled her phone out to text for a driver to come pick her up, her hands shaking as she did so. When she noticed, she quickly turned, hoping Cameron hadn't seen.
(;u;)
Cameron shook his head then lifted up the old game and the snacks. He walked across the room to his closet and slipped inside, without a second glance to Lilah.
After sending the text, Lilah walked out the front door and sat on the steps. She rested her elbows on her knees, putting her face in her hands to hide the tears threatening to spill out.
Cameron stretched up to put the game back carefully, then turned to put the popcorn back. He tripped over Lily, who followed him quietly and fell, cracking his head off a low cabinet doorknob.
Lily started barking erratically when Cameron didn't stir after his fall.
Lilah heard Lily's frantic barking and lifted her head to look back. She stood and quickly made her way back to Cameron's room. Seeing him laying on the floor, she gasped and knelt down.
"Cameron? Cameron, come on, wake up," she begged, gently shaking his shoulder.
(do i really have to look up if a doorknob can put somone in a coma
i will
but i feel really stupid not knowing the consequences of that fall. sorry if that was weird, my last reply.)
Lily borked louder and hopped onto Cameron's back, jumping up and down.
Cameron didn't stir, not even to Lily's loudness nor to her movement.
(Don't do it. I swear if he goes into a coma… Lilah will have something coming for her when he wakes up.)
"No, come on!" Lilah exclaimed as she pulled out her phone and called 911. She told them what was wrong and where they were, and they assured her that they'd be there soon.
