Kitty nodded fearfully. She answered the phone. "H-Hello?"
"Kitty, are you okay? You sound… Scared."
"No! I'm fine! How are you?" She cringed.

Courtney cringed. Dangit, I was too bossy again…

"I'm… great. Listen, about tonight…"
"Yeah? Are we good?"
Kitty could hear his smile. "Yeah, it's totally on. See you at 6."
"Not a moment later."
"Of course not."
"Bye."
"Bye." Kitty hung up excitedly.

"Your boyfriend?" Courtney asked, arms crossed and eyebrows raised.

She nodded slowly. "Sorry…"

"Hey, it's okay. I'm just glad you didn't say anything," Courtney assured her.

"So… What am I?" She asked tentatively.

Courtney shook her head.

"I have an idea, but I'm not entirely sure. I'd have to take you to visit a friend at N.E.S.T. Labs to find out for sure."

(NEST Labs is a really high-end and high-tech technology place. It stands for… Dangit, I forgot… Something about science and technology…)

Kitty grew pale. "Wh-When?"

"As soon as possible," Courtney said.

"So, now?" Kitty asked , her voice very high pitched.

Courtney gave her a look and refrained from rolling her eyes. "Well, you have to be somewhere at six, and it's about five right now… I mean, I think we have time…"

Kitty's eyes darted around.

"I'm not going to kidnap you or kill you." Courtney didn't resist rolling her eyes this time. "If you don't want to come, then don't. You'll just never know what you are."

Kitty hesitated. "Okay, fIne…"

Courtney nodded once. "My sister should be here any second now. She can give us a ride."

"Does she know… about…"

"Oh, yeah, totally. We share a room. It'd be hard for her not to," Courtney said.

Not to mention she has a power of her own…

"Okay," Kitty sighed. That did help release some nerves.

Just on time, a maroon Jeep pulled up in front of the girls, an older teenager sitting in the front seat. She looked between Courtney and Kitty, a confused look on her face. Avery thought she knew all of her sister's friends.

"Hey, Court, who's this?"

Kitty looked at her feet.

Courtney glanced at Kitty out of the corner of her eye.

"This is Kitty. She has a slight… problem with time," she explained, giving her sister a pointed look.

Avery raised her eyebrows. "Really? Well, hop in, then."

Kitty climbed in the backseat silently.

Courtney decided that it might be better for her to sit in the back with Kitty then in the front this time, so she climbed in next to her.

"Can you take us to the labs?" she asked.

Avery nodded. "Of course. I was headed there myself, actually. There are some… things I need to pick up from someone…"

Kitty felt very out of place among the two girls. She half smiled when Courtney came next to her.

(Jsyk, they're a team of superheroes. There are six of them, each with a different power.)

"Great! Let's go!" Courtney exclaimed, avid her sister started toward the laboratory.

(Okay, and you have all of them, don't you…)
Kitty thought her heart was going to pound out out her chest.

(What do you mean?)

"You okay?" Courtney asked Kitty.

(All of the superhero team. They're your characters and you have a life story for everyone them? XD)
"Yeah," Kitty replied quickly.

(Yes, they're my characters. From my book on Wattpad. Which in going to almost completely rewrite, btw…)

Courtney raised her eyebrows. "Uh-huh. Surrrrre…"
