"I speak only truth, dearest. But people rarely believe it." she said.
"I speak only truth, dearest. But people rarely believe it." she said.
“I suppose I’m one of those people, then,” Vaughn said slowly. He stayed leaning up against a wall that was across from the cell, one of his grey eyes slightly covered by the longer section of his hair. He had his hands folded in front of him, not trusting himself enough to touch the concrete wall. His white button up was splattered with blood that wasn’t his own.
"Dance with me." Alana said suddenly.
Vaughn’s frown grew, and his brow furrowed. “Dance with you?” He repeated. What was Alana getting at? There had to be some sort of trick behind her words. He was already loosing her trust, bit by bit.
"Dance. With me. It's a simple request, you should be able to carry it out." she said.
“I know that I am quite able to carry it out,” Vaughn first said. He didn’t think that it would have been the first time it had happened. “But if you are wanting me to let you out or for me to go into that cell, it isn’t happening. I don’t trust you that much.”
"It's only a dance. Are you scared I'll stamp on your feet?" she asked.
“No, I’m worried that you might try to kill me,” Vaughn reminded Alana. He reached up, brushing the hair back and out of his eyes, glancing down at his shirt before looking back at Alana.
"I'm not going anywhere as you can see. I don't think a dance would hurt, much less kill." she said, laughing maniacally.
“Alana, if I were to dance with you, then I would have to go in there, or let you out,” Vaughn huffed, rubbing at his jaw for a moment. “I’m not a complete fucking idiot.”
"Yes, but I don't plan on killing you now. There's no fun in that." she said. "Happy?"
“No, not really,” Vaughn mumbled, shaking his head in thought. What’s the harm? the voice spoke up. If she tries anything, you can just restrain her. You do have your gun, anyways. He looked down at the ground before digging out the keys from his suit jacket pocket and walking hesitantly over to Alana.
"You might think I have a motive behind this. But no, I just want to dance with an old friend." Alana said.
(Goood morning!)
(Heyy)
Vaughn stood in front of the door, seeming to hesitate. He gave her a look, a doubt filled one, before looking down at the lock and keypad. He pressed in a few numbers before unlocking the cell door.
Alana grinned triumphantly. She was glad for the chance to mess with Vaughn's mind.
Vaughn opened the cell door, putting the key down his shirt now instead, which was tucked in. He couldn’t risk Alana taking it from his pocket. He took a step back, watching her carefully.
"So? Are we going to dance or not?" she asked.
“I guess we are,” Vaughn said, still eyeing Alana warily. “I don’t have music or anything like that,” he added.
"Is music required? No. Now dance." she said, holding out her arms.
With a reluctant huff, Vaughn began, going along with Alana’s movements. “You know well that I’ve never been much of a dancer,” he said.
"I don't really care much about your skill level." she smirked.
Vaughn scoffed softly, glancing away before he spoke again. “Why did you even want to dance, anyways?”
"Well, less to dance, more to do this." she said, pressing a finger to Vaughn's forehead before he had time to react.
It was dark, there didn't even seem to be ground there, but somehow they were standing. "You're probably wondering where you are. This is my mind, or at least a small part of it. Your physical body is lying down, unconscious, in the real world. And before you ask, so is mine, it takes a lot of energy and focus to do this so I'm currently incapacitated." Alana chuckled. The laugh echoed in the dark and endless void.
(I'm writing the one part in italics for like, no reason other than that I think it looks cool lol.)
(Lol, yeah)
Vaughn’s breath had caught in his throat at Alana’s words before the darkness washed over him. He blinked a few times, rubbing at his eyes a bit. “Alana, what do you hope to accomplish from this?” He questioned.
"What would you hope to accomplish from it?" Alana asked. (On and off rn lol.)
(That’s okay, I am too atm)
“I asked you first,” Vaughn retorted. Here they were, fighting like they were children or something. It was ridiculous.
"Yes, but here, I am in control. So answer me, or I'll never let you out." Alana threatened. She wasn't bluffing.
“I don’t have anything to accomplish,” Vaughn snapped. “You were the one who wanted to do that stupid dancing, anyways.”
"It wasn't stupid if it got us here. Anyways, I'm bored. I've been stuck in that tiny room for weeks, you ignored me for most of that time. Now we're here together, and we have all the time in the world!" she giggled maniacally.
