(Hi)
Blue shyly stood at the flagpole, his hand massaging his aching shoulder. He was alone, waiting for the others, until he saw a blue haired girl approaching him.
The last bell had rung. She was just about to leave when the teacher called her back. Great. "Kate, I was…" She zoned out, worry coming to her mind of all the others just deciding to leave without her. "If you wouldn't mind." She snapped back. I have got to stop doing that. I think he said something about presenting her paper to the rest of the class. "Sure, sure," she said, ready to leave. "I have to go now." "Okay, see you tomorrow." I ran out the door, trying not to get trampled by every other person trying to get out. When she finally made it out, she saw blue standing by the flagpole and Chicago quickly approaching. That's not good. She hurried towards the meeting point.
Chicago reach the flagpole moments before Kate. "Nice hair," she said to the boy. "Why are you here?"
Blue let his hair fall in his eyes, “Um- Thank you. I’m- I was waiting here for, uh, the people I sat at with lunch,” Blue wrung his hands and he glanced at her.
Kate grabbed by the shoulder. "I invited him to come, Chicago. Blue, this is Chicago. She's a famous You tuber and stuff. Chicago, this is Blue."
(I'm here)
"Ty, I'm leaving first!" Xavier grabbed his backpack and ran out the door as soon as the bell rang. The crowd was huge and now he was going to be even more late. Please don't leave without me. The sun hit his face when he finally made it out and rushed to the flagpole. "Here." He was breathing heavily and sweating at this point.
Kate turned around to see Xavier standing right behind her. "Oh, hi!" She willed the butterflies to sleep just a little longer. Beth and Sam were approaching behind him.
"Sorry I'm late." He was still bent over but looked up at her and smiled. "Oh, Chicago hi." He used to talk to her quite often, but then they just stopped for some reason. "Ty will be here soon."
For some reason, Kate felt a twinge of jealousy. "You two know each other?"
"We've lived in the same neighborhood since we were young." Xavier stumbled for when Ty ran into his back. "How dare you leave me behind!" The pain shot up his back "Pay back for lunch." Ty looked around and Saw Chicago as well. "Chicago! Is that you." His feet started taking him that way till Xavier stopped him.
Blue looked at the ground. Sounded like they all knew each other. He kind of felt like the odd one out. He went back to massaging his bruises as they talked.
"Oh, cool." They continued to talk. Kate could only laugh to stay in the conversation. She glanced to Blue. His eyes were glazed over as he rubbed his shoulder. She stepped away from the others for a moment. "Hey," she said with concern in her eyes. 'Are you okay?"
Ty immediately went over to Beth and Sam. Kate was talking to Blue so Xavier just stood there awkwardly. He wasn't sure what he should say to Chicago and hoped someone would turn back and start a conversation with him.

“Oh,” Blue turned to see Kate’s attention on him, “Uh, yeah, I just-“ Shoot, what was he supposed to say? He tried to tug his sleeve down as he continued, “I’m okay. Just a -er- few bruises.”
Kate tried to look him in the eye, but he just kept looking away. the worry began to swell up her throat. "From what?"
“Oh, nothing,” He tried to brush it off as casual. A touch of heat rose to his face and he turned his head so his hair fell in front of his eyes. He started wringing his hands.
Kate could tell something was off. Bruises don't come from "nothing," but she decided to save it for later. She didn't want to bring it up in the middle of a schoolyard. That and she could tell that he was uncomfortable talking about it. She gave him a concerning look and then bumped back into the conversation. Xavier and Chicago were standing as Ty, Beth and Sam laughed together. "Should we get going?" she asked.
"Yes!" Xavier was glad someone said something. What happened between Chicago and me anyway? "Ty let's go." Xavier followed Kate since he had no idea where he was going.
Kate began walking down the street. It wasn't too far. It took about twenty minutes for them to get get there. They stood outside looking up at the huge sign that held the park's name. "Welcome to FunLand," Kate said. She turned around to face the group. The park's loud speaker introduced the theme with her. "'It's all fun, fun fun!'" She smiled and laughed as the speaker shut off. "It's only about five dollars for each person's admission. It's really cheap, but it's pretty cool. I can pay for everyone I think."
Xavier ran up to the person standing outside and pulled out some cashed. "Too late I already did." He wasn't going to let Kate pay for everyone, what kind of a man does that?
Kate sighed. As Xavier walked back she couldn't help but smile. She tried to hold it back. She couldn't this time. Instead she looked at the ground. "Thanks, I guess," she said. The butterflies were awake.
"I wasn't going to let the girl pay." He smiled and winked. "I wouldn't be a very good gentleman if I did." And he wanted to give a good impression, in front of Kate. "Well, heres all the wrist bands." Xavier put his on and then helped Ty with his. "Is everyone ready?"
The entire world was a brighter shade when he winked, like the flip of a switch. She took the wristband and put it on her arm. "I'm ready."
Blue put in his wristband, feeling awkward that someone else payed for him, despite him barely having any money to begin with. He looked appreciatively at Xavier, but found him looking at Kate. Blue looked back at the ground, “I’m ready.”
Xavier led the way. It was amazing, lights were everywhere and there were many people were laughing. Maybe him and Kate could ride together on a ride. "What shall we do first?"
"I would say the Ferris wheel, but it only fits two people per cart," Kate said. She tried to think of ideas where everyone was included, or at least everyone was comfortable. "There's a bunch of other rides though." Kate looked to Xavier, face lit up by all the lights around them. that plus his smile made every single butterfly take off in her stomach.
Xavier hasn't been to an amusement park since he was young. "Rollercoaster!" He spun around to look at everyone and realized how he was acting. "Uh, I mean." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Does anybody want to ride the rollercoaster?"
Kate laughed. "Yeah, you guys should go ride the roller coaster. People say it's really fun." He's so adorable, Kate thought.
“I’ve never ridden on one,” Blue said, looking at all the rides in amazement. His father had never taken him to one of these before. Not that he would… “It sounds fun, though.”
Kate looked up at the ride and shivered. "You guys should go. I'll wait down here for you guys."
