Annika smiled. "Thank you!" She put away her headphones and started singing Monody quietly.
Otis looked over at a boy in hs cabin, but at the same time looked off into space. I wonder if I should make friends…
Just then,the bell rang for Canteen (where you buy snacks). Annika and Otis rushed out of their cabins and got in line.
Calista stood up slowly and walked out.
Brennan on the other hand rushed out and bumped into Calista, almost knocking her over.
“Sorry about that! I’m so hungry” he replied after steadying her.
“It’s alright. Are you new to this camp? I’ve never seen you here before.”
“Yes. I’ve been to a few others but first time here” he replied with a smile.
“You know, something tells me we’re going to make good friends” she smiled back.
The pair talked while in line and decided to sit together.
Annika got a Fudgesicle and Otis got a thing of Starbursts. They looked around for each other, and then they saw the other one. They ran and embraced each other in a hug. "So, how was the first half-hour of camp,O-bo?" Otis smiled. "Now, you know not to call me that, ANN-IKA." Annika laughed. "Welp. Anyway, how was it? There was this girl in my cabin, and she wouldn't put away her iPod for like 20 minutes." Otis exhaled quietly. "Nothing happened,really. There was some goy who looked nice, but I decided not to make conversation…"

Calista and Brennan got a pack of Ms each and went to sit down on a bench near by.
“So you’ve been here before?” Brennan asked.
“My aunt Jackie works here. She’s like everyone’s boss. She owns most of the land the camp sits on. I need to tell her to fire whom ever that rude counselor was.” She responded. “I’m mean she was nice enough, but she just shoved my aunt out of the way to boss me around. My mother’s going to get an earfull later.”
“Sounds like fun. I can’t believe she’d do that”
“I know! It was so rude. I wouldn’t be surprised if Aunt Jackie did fire her. My Nana was the original owner but pasted it down to my Aunt and my mom. Mom wants hardly anything to do with it though. And only sent me because of my aunt.” She complained.
(Are you a Christian/ If yes, we'll do da Christian camp but if not, yeah.)
The bell rang for Chapel (unless u aint a christian)

Da bell rang for chapel.
"Alright,girls. We're gonna line up and we all are gonna have to sit together,ok?" Ayanna got the girls nto a straight line and they headed into chapel and sat down.
Calista said her goodbyes to Brennan and ran off to Chapel. She got seated next to the girl from her cabin with the head phones.
Annika smiled at Calista. The camp director, Kaleb walked up and said "Ok, everyone, welcome to CAMP! So, what we're gonna do is when I say 'Where are we going?' you say "AROUND THE WORLD!' and then you're quiet. Let's practice." The campers readied themselves for it. "WHEEEERE ARE WE GOING?"
(By the way, I was planning for the camp to be an around the world theme, if that's OK with you)
Otis sat down next to a nice looking boy. He glanced over at his nametag. Brennan. He wanted to smile, but he hesitated. Alright,Otis you can do this.
He looked over at Brennan and managed a shy smile.
Brennan saw the boy from his Cabin smile at him so he smiled back.
Calista smiled at Annika and joined everyone else in saying “Around the world”
"AROUND THE WORLD!" Annika smiled. This was really fun, so far. "Alright, all. So, we're gonna all go back to our cabins, and your counselors are gonna choose whether to go to the night swim, or do the night game. Night swim is pretty self-explainatory, and for Night Games we're gonna do GLOW IN THE DARK KICKBALL! See y'all in 25 minutes!"
The girls headed back to their cabins. "Alright, girls. We're gonna do night swim because kickball was filled up. So get your swimsuits on,modest swimsuits only. If you brought a bikini or something, I have an old shirt that you can put over it."

Calista changed into her one piece and put on a pair of shorts over it for the walk over.

(15 minutes later…)
"Alright, girls! We're gonna head out. They're gonna tell us the rules, and you can take the swimming test. If you pass, you can swim in the deep end. If you fail,or choose not to take the swim test, you may swim in the shallow end but not in the deep end. This is the only time that you may take the swim test."
They walk over to the swimming pool. The pool dude tells them the rules and Annika gets in line for the swim test. Otis gets in line behind her and they talk.
“Well I’m glad I took lessons when I was little” Calista joked to nobody in particular.
Annika hopped in and did the swim test.
Otis hopped in and did le test of le swimmin.

Calista reached the front of the line and took the swim test.
(Do they find out the results right away or after everyone takes the test?)
(At the end of the test, if you passed, you get an orange bracelet that you must keep on all week. If you don't pass,you get nothing and you may not swim in the deep end :)
Everyone finished the test and was allowed to swim.
Annika found an old camp friend and was talking to her.
Otis was kinda hanging around the side, not wanting to go on the dving board or AquaWall, afraid that he might be noticed.

Calista found Brennan and they decided to swim around he pool, racing and playing various games with other campers.
Annika's old camp friend (Calleigh) saw her friend and went off to play with her. Annika found Otis and started talking to him.
“Marco!” One of the other campers half yelled with their hands over their hands. “Polo!” Calista and Brennan said from next to each other, ready to push of each other and swim in opposite directions if ‘Marco’ came their way.
Annika noticed some campers playing Marco,Polo and decided to join them.
Otis kinda clung to the side.
The lifeguard blew his whistle. Time to get out!
Annika and Otis went to dry off and headed back to their cabins for bed prep.
Annika would take a shower the next day, so she went into a stall and got changed.

Calista and Brennan walked back to their Cabis, Brennan walking Calista to hers before going to his own.
Calista threw on an oversized hoodie of her fathers and some track shorts.
Brennan put on a pair of pajama shorts and a matching top.
