Moxiey was uncharacteristically quiet the whole time. She kept playing with her hair or hands.

Lucinda rubbed her eyes. "Guys, I think it's time we go to sleep," she said, gently guiding Moxiey to the back of the cave. "It's been a long day."

Maddox didn't answer, but shifted in his corner. He swam in small circles for a moment before settling down on the sand, still deep in thought.

Moxiey, instead of protesting, complied by flopping down on her sand cluster. She turned her back to the word and let silent tears trickle down her cheeks. She longed for the surface.

Zarya swam around and came upon a girl who looked like she was crying “hello! Are you okay?” She asked

Moxiey looked around quickly. She thought that she had been alone when she came to the Seaweed grove. Apparently not. "Yeah. Just… Thinking, ya know?"

“This is a nice place to think.”! She replied

Maddox looked up from his corner, his back still to the majority of the cave. He tugged at the makeshift bandages and ripped them off, as they were irritating him.

"Yup. I come here all the time." Moxiey flicked her tail and glided towards the surface before floating lazily back down.

“I wonder what’s up there sometimes.” She said looking at the water

"Me too. I would love to live up there…" Moxiey sighed, feeling the sand itch her back.

“I’ve never had the courage to go up there.” The she gasped “where are my manners I’m Zarya call me Rhea or Zary.”

"Moxiey," Moxiey said, smiling. "I've gone up there many times."

“Really? What’s it like?” She asked

Maddox rubbed at his wound. It had mostly closed, but it was still clearly a recent ailment. He looked out at Moxiey and Zarya.

"The men are extravagant and absolutely charming," Moxiey enthused, stirring up a dust storm with her tail.

“I wish I could go up there” she sighed

Moxiey looked around slyly. "Wanna?"

“Won’t we get in trouble?” She asked

Moxiey shrugged. "I've done it hundreds of times."

“Ok!” She said

Moxiey grinned and twirled off of the sand. She rocketed up to the surface and looked around for anything.

Rhea followed close behind.
