"Hey Darren. It's Belle." She wound and unwound her hair around her finger nervously.

"Oh… Heeeyyy, what can I do for you," He leaned forward to make sure Cooper wasn't in ear shot.

"Wow, don't you sound excited to hear me." She giggled. "Um, I just wanted to say that I hope you don't mind setting out another plate causing I'm coming to Thanksgiving with Ryan? Is that okay?"

Confusion crossed Darren's face and sept into his voice, "Like 'Another plate' or like another cchhaaiirrrr…."

"Both. I know, I know, sounds weird but I just can't bring myself to sit there. She was so important to him. When someone sat in my mother's chair after she died everyone looked like they were going to kill him."

Darren nodded, "He probably wouldn't let you sit in the chair. He almost killed Linda one year and she was just joking… He doesn't let people sit in her chair."

"Glad you understand. So yeah, that's going to be a thing."

"Absolutely! Can't wait." Cooper should have fun with that…

"Alright. See ya! Bye!" She hung up, handing Ryan his phone back.

rYAN NODDED AND TOOK THE PHONE. hE CONTINUED TO DRIVE, NO CLUE WHERE THEY WERE GOING, JUST A DRIVE TO CLEAR HIS HEAD.

"Do you have any idea where we're going or are you just driving around?" Not that she cared, she just wanted to know.

"No. I was just wondering if you did have one." She stared out the window, just watching the world pass by.

"Well then, yes. I do have one… Is Darren okay with you coming over?" Like he didn't hear the entire conversation.

"Please. You were right there! You heard. Don't lie to me." She glanced over with a smile.

"Geez. Fine," He smiled back. They were now driving on dirt, not even road and approaching a cliff.

She watched as the view got closer, coming up over the ledge, gently humming.

Ryan pulled up to a view over the entire city, the sun setting just above it. "Is this an okay destination?"

She giggled. "Yes. This is fine." She hopped out and sat on the cliff's edge, dangling her feet in the wind.

"I come up here a lot! Rarely as a human but nonetheless." He sat next to her, well… correction… clears throat Convel sat next to her.
