Lillian began feeling light headed. Must have been from…. No don't think about that, "S-Sure."
Lillian began feeling light headed. Must have been from…. No don't think about that, "S-Sure."
"What's going on? Lillian you know you can tell me."
Lillian looked away, "Y-you don't dese-"
Her vision started going spotty, her body felt heavy, she started to fall. The back of her shirt was red from blood that had spilled from the wounds her mother had caused.
Darren grabbed her, "Oh my god." he moved the back of her shirt and saw the wounds. "You need to go to the nurse or something,"
Lillian made a sound of agreement before she passed out.
"Lillian!" Lloyd had left them alone to talk at first, but ran over when he saw Lillian fall. Nathaniel ran after him and started tugging on Lillian's shirt. "Lily? Lily?! Wake up!"
Darren picked her up in his arms and walked her to the nurse, ignoring the looks he was getting from other people. "She'll be okay," He said to Nate.
"Lilyyyyy!" Nathaniel whined as he trotted along behind them, eyes stinging with tears. Lloyd followed silently, looking concerned.
They got to the nurse's office and Darren laid Lillian down carefully on the couch. "Hey what can I- oh. What happened?" The nurse said seeing Lillian and ignoring the fact that Darren suddenly had cancer.
"I'm not entirely sure. She didn't say and she passed out." Darren retorted holding Lillian's hand.
The nurse lifted up Lillian's shirt. Her back was laced with what looked like whip marks, and the more profusely bleeding places had glass shards within them. The nurse walked over to the phone, "This is out of my abilities. I'll contact the hospital and authorities. Do you know if this happened on school grounds?"
Darren looked at his feet. If he said no then there was a possibility that social services could be called and they would take Lillian away but saying yes would insinuate that someone at school did it. "I'm not sure," He decided to lie.
The nurse nodded as she called the ambulance, "Alright then."
The EMS arrived quickly.
Darren insisted that he ride with Lillian, after all she did it for him.
They eventually caved in and allowed him to ride with her.
He held on to her hand until they arrived at the hospital where he let go and offered to help her out.
The EMS told him he couldn't help out. They pulled her out of the ambulance and told Darren to wait in the waiting room.
Darren saw the others sitting, waiting patiently to hear news about their loved ones. He couldn't even think about sitting and waiting so he paced instead, unsure of what to do.
(MEANWHILE)
Luena had gone through the school day with little to no trouble. She didn't remember any of the weekend. She was still very tired, almost like her magic was still active, but she hadn't used it all day.
The witch made her way to the auditorium, intending on painting some set pieces.
(Lol)
An hour later the nurse came in. She walked up to Darren, "You came in with Ms. Phoenix correct?"
Darren stopped walking, "Yeah! Is she okay?"
The nurse gave a slight nod, "She's still unconscious, but will live. I won't lie and say we were worried there for a while."
Darren let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding in, "Can I see her?"
"Of course. Follow me," The nurse lead Darren to her room. Lillian laid on the bed sleeping.
Darren saw Lillian and readjusted his hat. He walked over to her nervously and sat down taking her hand in his. He brushed a kissed softly across her knuckles.
The nurse turned to Darren, "If she wakes up, call for one of us."
Darren nodded not taking his eyes off of Lillian. "Will do," He put his head down on the bed next to Lillian and closed his eyes keeping his focus on her breathing.
Lillian's breathing was steady, but slightly shallow. It seemed to change as a small groan escaped from Lillian's lips. She was waking up.
Darren's head shot off the bed and he stood up not letting go of her hand, "Lillian?" He said hovering above her.
"W-what?" Lillian's eyes opened and she squinted, "W-where am I?"
