Darren thought, "Uhhh- cronuts after chemo," He winced realizing it had been days.
Darren thought, "Uhhh- cronuts after chemo," He winced realizing it had been days.
Lillian sighed, "Eat something. Please."
"It's fine, I'll be fine. I don't really look forward to spending an entire day with my old friend, the toilet, anyways." He sighed.
Lillian took his hand, "I'm not eating until you do."
Darren scowled, "That's unfair, you should eat. I'm not hungry."
Lillian looked at him, "I'm not hungry either."
"Are you just saying that because I won't eat?"
Lillian smirked, "You'll never know. So order something, or I'll order for you."
"Lillian," He whined, "This isn't necessary, really I'll be fine."
Lillian looked at him, "You need to eat. Even if it makes you sick, you need to eat. Please, for me?"
Darren sighed, "I'm not hungry" he said under his breath as the waitress came to the table. He ordered but wasn't happy about it.
Lillian smiled happily as she ordered too. She knew Darren wasn't hungry because of how long it had been since he had last eaten. How? Experience.
The waitress left and Darren laid his head in his arms on the table.
Lillian rubbed his head, "Sorry. But you really need to eat."
Darren looked up at Lillian, "I'm not mad, I'm just not hungry."
Lillian sighed as she smiled at him, "Okay then."
Darren picked his head up when the waitress came with the food and placed it in front of him. He eyed it hatefully but didn't move to eat it.
Lillian looked at her food and took a bite. She looked at Darren waiting for him to take a bite.
Darren took a sip of his water, not breaking his stare with the food. He almost looked afraid of it.
Lillian rubbed his hand, "C'mon. Take at least one bite."
Darren looked at her with sad eyes before going back to the food, he sighed and took a bite. He hated the control she had over him as he took another bite.
Lillian smiled as she said softly, "Thank you."
She returned to eating her own food.
Darren looked back at her with an annoyed look before continuing to eat. The food made his stomach hurt.
Lillian looked at him, "You don't have to keep eating if you don't want to. I just wanted you to get something in you."
Darren said nothing, he looked at her and lowered his eyebrows as he took another bite.
Lillian smiled as she took another bite of her own food. Seems like he wanted to eat.
Darren put the fork down and sat back in his seat, still annoyed, as his stomach turned.
Lillian finished up her food. She looked at Darren, "You doing okay?"
"M'fine." He said looking up at her and crossing his arms.
Lillian sighed and she leaned back, "You're mad at me right?"
