(One-on-ones are pretty cool if your characters get along well, but if there are more people, there's a lot of 3rd-wheeling. Looks like 4 people besides myself are (maybe?) here now. Want to get started? I'm thinking we start out in a secret village that these dragon people live in.)

((OOC: 1-1's are quite good as well. I have one that I'm doing on a different RP site which I'm quite proud of with my partner.
I am completely fine with starting))

Aurelius threw a dead sheep over into Nox's stall. She let out a grateful noise that anyone not accustomed to dragons would have been terrified of, and she began to eat the animal. As soon as Nox had finished her meal, she begged for Aurelius to come pet her, sticking her face over the gate. He reached up, frail hand stretched out to pat her on the nose. Nox grumbled and snorted, then breathed a little fire- bright blue flames. "Hey! Stop that!" Aurelius cried out, "Getting a little too comfortable over there, my girl!" Nox let out an even lower grumble as apology, and she began to settle down for a nap. "That's right," Aurelius said, "Rest up. You did well in training today. I'll stop by to see you later, pretty girl." He then left the stables alone.

Xavier and Ryul stared deep into each other's eyes, like two fish having a staring contest on dry land. Xavier still had no idea what they were doing, all he knew is that Ryul stopped him in his path and looked deep into his fluffy white soul

The lone figure stood silently on a ledge. Dark brown, nearly black, hair swayed ever so slightly in the blowing wind. A soft rustle sounded as his cape waved in the breeze. Amber eyes stared ahead, looking out over the fields and forests below. It seemed to be calm for the most part.
Slowly he closed his eyes, allowing the breeze to brush against him. Almost as soon as his eyes closed, the visions started dancing across his mind. The sounds, the voices…a past he had buried deep in his mind, but still came back, the shadow that always clung to his soul.
He quickly opened his eyes, the visions stopping. The male seemingly sighed, moving a hand. He reached behind, rubbing the back of his neck for several moments, then returning his arm against his side. The figure's gaze averted downwards from the ledge he stood upon. A massive drop was before him, one that could very well kill him due to the distance.
Yet, without even a second thought, his foot left the ledge, walking right off, plummeting downwards. He fell with increasing speed, the air whipping his cloak and hair back. However, there was no fear whatsoever, for he knew death did not wait for him below.
A sound of thundering wings followed by a giant shadow that blacked out the sun from view suddenly appeared. The massive form swept past the falling man, soon coming to pull up right underneath him. The form, a gigantic, fiery red dragon with gold bronze horns and underbelly. Two pairs of wings beat against the air, easily staying in sky.
As for the man, his body turned, feet coming to touch down on the giant beast's head. He stood where he was, arms moving to cross his chest. The air continued to whip past him, but the male seemed unaffected.
~Your past, it has come to haunt you again, hasn't it~ the powerful voice suddenly rumbled in his mind.
Amber eyes continued to stare straight ahead as he responded to his beast, "It always does…and I despise every moment that forces me to look back…"
The dragon seemingly rumbled softly. His own yellow eyes remained fixated somewhere else as he glided through the sky ~You should not blame yourself Cain. Focus on what is ahead, the future~.
Cain, the rider, sighed under his breath. He knew the red dragon was right, dwelling on the past would give him nothing but pain. His amber eyes looked downwards towards his beast.
"Fair enough…but even you know what I have done, and it will always haunt me."
The giant beast gave a soft snort, smoke rising from his nostrils. His wings tipped to the side, turning in a different direction. The dragon spoke again ~Let us return to the village. They will more than likely wish for a report~.
Cain only gave a slight nod as he continued to stand on the dragon's head. The pair flew through the sky, heading back to the village. Unlike most, Cain and his dragon preferred their solitude, away from the small civilization. However, he served the village, protecting it when called upon, etc.

Aurelius walked out into the village streets, feeling rather exposed. His darkness and ghastliness stood out in a crowd, and he always felt like people were watching. Perhaps they were. Perhaps it wasn't people, but the very spirits that he sometimes spoke with watching his every move. Aurelius walked into the small market to take in the bustle of the tiny town's heart. It was overwhelming to him, but also comforting to watch from a distance. He paced slowly, eyeing the wares at each stall, especially the crafts, such as quilts, pottery, and paintings.

Jade was sleeping, or at least she had been when Dawn decided to light her curtains on fire. She was now desperately trying to put them out, "I get it I overslept! But if the house burns down it's your fault!"
Dawn made a laughing noise, "Shut it!"

@ShadeStar

(I know, if you had a pet dragon I'm positive if you overslept the dragon would wake you with lighting something on fire!)

Red wings continued to beat the air, continuing to carry them forward. It wasn't long before the village came into view below. Once again the giant dragon's form blocked the sunlight from reaching the world below as he passed overhead. Powerful wings beat the air, sending powerful currents downwards to be felt by those on the ground.
Jun, the dragon's shortened name, tipped one of his wings, heading towards a massive field that had purposely been set aside to accommodate his size. The red beast slowly started to circle downwards. The grass instantly flattened as he grew closer to the ground. His back legs soon came to rest on the ground, followed by his front. The giant dragon lowered himself, coming to lay down. Jun's four wings folded neatly against his body, tail curling around his side. The dragon laid his head down, allowing Cain to jump off, then raising it once again.
Yellow eyes shifted towards the village ~The Elders will be waiting for your presence in the Village Hall as usual. I shall wait here for your return~.
Cain glanced back towards his dragon. He watched the red beast for several moments, then finally nodded. The man moved slowly. He pulled his cloak tighter around his body. Dark hair fell over his face, covering his eyes, keeping his head low. His boots carried him into the village. Cain made not a sound.
As soon as he appeared, women grabbed their children, pulling them away to hide. Men stared after the tall, dark figure as he strode through the streets. Yet Cain ignored it all. Even after everything he had done, doing his best to keep his past behind him, there were still stories going around. Some were true, as where others were simply far from the truth.
Cain continued along his way, heading towards the large building which stood in the center, home of the Village Elders and High Officials that often met there.

@Becfromthedead group

Aurelius' eyes were drawn to Cain as he entered the village. Unlike many of the other residents, Aurelius was not frightened by the man, but rather fascinated. He did his best not to stare at the cool, dark figure, so he went back to his business, but secretly wondered what business he had with the village's officials.

A smaller framed girl walked rather quickly through the crowds of people, her hazel eyes intensely focused on the dark haired man walking towards the elder's home. A few stares accompanied her from younger children that spoke behind hands to cover their words. Zodiac. Her parents died in one of the attacks a few years ago. She ignored the whispers, and after a few more steps, she was sidled up next to Cain.

"What did you find today?" Zodiac asked, tucking a strand of dark hair behind her ear. She had always thought that she and Cain had looked alike, but that was mostly because she wanted someone to call her family.

Charlie went to mount his black dragon only to be thrown off into the lake that they were resting at "Come on Jekyll!" He said standing up in the shallow water soaking wet, Charlie splashed water at the dragon resulting in an angry growl "We gotta get going you crybaby we haven't been back in a year" He said as the dragon shook the small amount of water off. He had left the village last year without saying when he would be back or what he was doing, this was something he often did but always returned eventually. The others in the village knew this routine of his and didn't worry about him as far as he knew. Charlie successfully mounted the dragon and he soared of flying high into the sky in a matter of seconds. Jekyll may not have been the strongest dragon but he sure could fly. Charlie settled into the dragon's back knowing they would soon arrive at their destination.

Aurelius finally decided to walk up to a stall selling produce, and he bought vegetables and fruits to feed himself for the next few days. He could see the girl he knew as Zodiac go over to Cain to interact, and he just watched that, among other interactions between local people as he made his purchase.

((OOC: Welcome back, and thank you ^^))

The male felt eyes fall upon him, just one set of many. Dark amber eyes shifted towards the side, taking note of a scrawny looking boy. He had come across the kid a few times, but other than that, Cain knew little. All honesty, the man preferred it that way. To keep as little contact with anyone. Nearly the entire village knew him, but he did not know everyone. The most he knew were the village Elders, a few officials, and…
There it was, that voice he had grown to know for quite some time now. Cain resisted the urge to release a sigh of annoyance. Instead, he continued to walk forward. Zodiac, a girl who he might've checked up on every now and then. Mostly because his dragon said it would 'do him some good'. Either way, as much of a nuisance he saw in her, Cain held his tongue. She was the daughter of a deceased village official. So one wrong move on his part, could very well mean exile for him, or worse.
He never even offered Zodiac a glance as he spoke in his gruff voice, "Jun and I found little to nothing. Though Jun feels that something is off, as if there is a shadow looming somewhere, waiting to strike."
It wasn't long before Cain stood outside of the building. His hand reached downwards, taking hold of the handle, turning it. The wooden door opened with a soft creak, entering the great hall. His amber gaze shifted upwards, seeing several people standing around. All eyes turned, coming to land on the dark individual, who slowly strode towards them. As he came to stop a few feet away, he bowed his head slightly, awaiting to be addressed. Once had been, did Cain give his report.
"The most worrisome thing we have found was some movement along the eastern borders. It is unclear what is being planned, but it does not feel right. I am somewhat worried about the few settlements that are allied with us along those edges. They could easily be overrun by powerful weaponry, hell, even a band of soldiers could take them with little to no trouble. As of elsewhere, Jun and I have both spoken to dragons in the territory, and each reports feeling the same. The feeling of a darkness, waiting in patience to strike. I am hoping it is nothing, but it will be better if we are prepared if we are indeed suddenly attacked."
Silence befell the small court. The group muttered amongst themselves while Cain stood, waiting patiently. As they reached an agreement, Cain was soon dismissed. He once again gave a small bow, turning to leave. His boots clicked loudly, echoing in the hall.
Soon, once again the outside world greeted him. Cain sighed softly, muttering under his breath, "Damn old fools…so blind to the very dangers that lay waiting around the corner…not everything is so easily achieved through 'peace talks'. Sometimes fighting is the only option."
~Cain, even you know there is some truth to their words~ Jun's voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
Though the red dragon was laying outside of the village in the large field, he could still speak to his rider. Despite any distance, they were always connected.
"They would do well to learn their limits," Cain muttered darkly.

Zodiac let out a soft sigh as she watched Cain talk to the elders, her intense hazel eyes flitting between them quickly. She felt a pair of eyes watching her, but this time it felt more familiar. She glanced back and noticed a boy with darker hair that she had often seen around the village. Her gaze narrowed as she watched him. What is he looking at? As Cain stepped away from the elder's home, she trudged along side him, studying the outline of the mountains.

"Do you think that the elder's would let me go outside the village one day and be like you?" Zodiac finally asked after a long pause, looking up at Cain.

@Norepinephrinxx

The village was now in sight, even after a year little had changed. He saw a large red dragon laying in a field outside the village. He had missed the village yet he felt a tang of nervousness as they approached. He felt like this every time he returned A lot can change in a year He thought as Jekyll landed hard against the ground from the speed resulting in a loud thud, "Jekyll you know you shouldn't land like that in the village your only going to draw attention" He said dismounting the dragon. the black dragon had guilt all over its face as he nudged his head into Charlie "It's alright bud" He said chuckling at the dragon half hugged the dragons head

@Becfromthedead group

Aurelius' eyes were then drawn to the dragon and its rider that landed just outside the village. They were familiar, but he felt like he hadn't seen them in forever. He ran that direction, trying to see who it might be. When he approached, he saw another young male dragon rider.
"Charlie?" Aurelius gasped, "You're back?"
He smiled shyly.

Jake looked at his dragon who was the same size as him. He climbed on his dragon, "Let's go girl!" he said. He looked at other dragon riders much older than him.

@ShadeStar

Jade got dressed and walked outside. Dawn was trailing alongside her. She sighed and looked to see the elders meeting. She shrugged and continued out the village. Dawn stretched her wings and looked at Jade, ~Are you ready?
Jade grinned and got on Dawn, "Let's hope I don't get into trouble this time.
The pair took off into the sky.

( I've decided that Zodiac might be the village troublemaker xD. )
