i am still in pain. And i'm worried about infection. Because ive been messing with my earrings even though they told me not to.

huh, okay. i might do that. Except my earrings aren't suppose to come off for a few more months, and even then, only if i want to change my earrings.

Never use rubbing alcohol or anything like that. It dries it out and makes it worse. Salt water only

they told me not to touch them and to clean, just rinse under clean water.

Yeah, you shouldn't be touching them but it's very tempting. You could always use qtips if you really need too. But salt water will help clear up infections. You can buy saline but it's easier to make it yourself. Make sure you're not swimming in anything while it's healing and if you do, clean it right after

I wasn't planning on swimming anytime soon. still too cold. I'll soak each in salt water for five minutes

It should clear up hopefully in the next week or so. And just soak it when you feel like you need ti after that (technically you're supposed to until it heals but I just did it when my ear flared up)

I was told to only use saline if i don't have clean water. I don't trust water…

Yeah. What's funny is my sisters got their second piercings the same day I got my first. Us three didn't have any problems related to the piercing itself. (But I had a problem with scratching behind my ear because the end of the earring would rub against the skin)
