Rhiv: ugh. they're back at the path, but what did it cost? the rest of today's daylight? not worth it. he lets go of Salmook's hand, letting his son walk in front of him.
Salmook: they're at the path! now where are Juni and Alex? he looks around for them.
Alex: He waves at Salmook. “Welcome back, everyone.” He glances at Tseth, smiling at him.
Tseth: Finally back. Didn’t expect that to go as well as it did. He looks at Alex, returning the smile for a moment before looking around at his surroundings again.
Juni: She looks up at Resh and waves, smiling.
Resh: He smiles back at Juni, then looks over at Parvus, who’s now dozing on Resh’s shoulder. He starts petting Parvus.
Parvus: He immediately starts purring when Resh pets him, flaring out his wings.

Salmook: he waves back at Alex and Juni. "Where do you think we should go to sleep?" it's a question open to anyone, although he's mostly asking Rhiv. Salmook gestures vaguely at the forest around them. "What do you think?"
Tseth: He looks over at Parvus and Resh. “Look who’s friends now.”
Alex: He looks at Salmook. “Probably not on the path, at least.”
Resh: He glares at Tseth. “Oh, hush.”
Juni: She looks around. “We could go a little further into the forest. Not far enough to lose the path, obviously, but far enough to be off of the path.”
Salmook: he nods at that - it's the same thing they agreed on in the forest, so it's not all that surprising. "But where? We have to look for it - like a game?"
Tseth: He only gives a small huff of a laugh in response to Resh, before moving over to Alex’s side.
Alex: “If you want to make it a game. But we’ve all been walking most of the day, so maybe we should just look for a spot normally.”
Parvus: He looks up at Resh, then jumps up onto his head.
Resh: He stiffens when Parvus jumps onto his head, but just sighs instead of taking him off.
Salmook: he smiles. "Game! Game! Game! Please? The first person to find a sleeping spot gets… uh… my boot!" he bends down to take his boot off.
Rhiv: he crosses his arms and looks down at the kid. "Salmook… no. And put your boot back on. We'll play tomorrow. Maybe."
Alex: He laughs at Salmook’s excitement. “Yeah, maybe next time kid. Keep your boots.”

Salmook: "Aww…" he steps back into his boot. "We have to play tomorrow then. Promise."
Rhiv: he sighs. "Alright then. Promise." he takes Salmook's hand again and leads him towards the edge of the path.
Alex: He watches as Rhiv and Salmook leave, and looks up at Tseth. “Uh, do we-“
Tseth: “Yes.” Without another word, they both follow Salmook and Rhiv.

Resh: He looks over at Juni, offering his hand.
Juni: She takes Resh’s hand, and they both follow the others.
Rhiv: he looks around the edges of the path. there's a few half-decent spots, though they're all a little too… open. "See anything?"
Tseth: “This is a bit close to the path if we don’t want to be spotted by anyone on it.” He can still see the path behind them, for one.
Resh: He looks around, still holding Juni’s hand.
Parvus: He jumps down from Resh’s head and starts trotting around, sniffing the ground.
Rhiv: he walks around the border of the spot Tseth found. it's… alright, he supposes. still too exposed for his liking, but it's the best they've got. he sits on a rock, catching his breath.
Salmook: he lays in the grass and rolls around. "This place is really, really, really nice." he turns over onto his back and sits up. "Thanks, Tsethy!"

Tseth: What- not what I meant, but I’m not going to bother correcting that. This place is fine. He looks down at Salmook “…You’re welcome. Please call me Tseth.”
Alex: He stifles a laugh at Tseth’s reaction, but he doesn’t say anything.

Resh: He chuckles at what Salmook called Tseth, not even bothering to hide his reaction.
Parvus: He trots over to Tseth, then starts batting at his shoes again.

Salmook: he tips his head. "Tsethy sounds nice. But if you say so…" he shrugs. in his opinion, Tsethy's a good nickname. what was his full name, anyways? Salmook doesn't remember.
Rhiv: he looks over in the direction of the path. Tseth… he can still see it? Rhiv squints, but there's a massive blob of forest green clouding most of his vision. "You're… sure you can still see it?"
(okay I fixed it now Rhiv canonically has vision issues.)
