Resh: He looks over at Salmook and stands up, pointing in the direction of the path. “Mhmm… yeah, about there. Just go a little farther that way.”

Salmook: and that's all he needs to hear. he's walking away towards the river without checking if anyonle else is following him.

Tseth: He looks at Juni and then starts going in the same direction as Salmook. The blood on his hands had already started to dry. It was sticky and annoying. He considered wiping it off on the cloth he used to clean his swords, but that wouldn’t get it all—especially not now. Just clean it off at the river. Maybe there would be a shallow area.

Juni: She takes a deep breath and follows Tseth and Salmook.

Resh: He looks at Alex and shrugs. “Well, we should probably try to get that fire going now.”

Rhiv: he holds in a yawn. not again. he rubs at his eyes. STAY AWAKE. he's just been meandering along the riverbank, not moving much in any direction. his head is empty, but at least his flasks are full. he sits down again in mild distress. that's how most of his walks ended, really. maybe it's worth turning around and finding everyone else? no, it's not.

Alex: He looks over at Resh and nods. “Yeah. I can find some wood if you want to make a fire ring.”

Resh: He nods, then ventures into the forest to gather some rocks.

Salmook: now that the deer carcass is out of sight, he's a lot less on edge. he keeps walking towards the path. "I wonder how far away the river was. I only saw the stream."

Alex: He looks around for a moment before going in a different direction to find some wood. It probably wouldn’t be too difficult in this forest.

Resh: He wanders around and starts gathering rocks, holding them all in one arm. It’s relatively easy to find rocks in the forest, he just needs to make sure he finds enough of them.

Tseth: He looks over at Salmook, slightly on edge for some reason. "It's likely not too far… paths tend to run along rivers." Hopefully it will be over as quickly as it starts.

Resh: He quickly gathers a good amount of rocks, then heads back and starts making a fire ring. (not me being too lazy to write anything else)

Parvus: He suddenly appears beside Tseth, chittering at him and flaring out his wings.

Salmook: he's not sure whether or not he's relieved by that. on one hand, the trip shouldn't take too long, and he'll be back with the others soon. on the other hand, dead body. oh well. if Alex and Resh know what they're doing, the deer should already be gone by then. hopefully.

Tseth: Oh. Parvus followed them. He tits his head at him, looking at him. “Thought you were going to stay with Resh and Alex.”

Alex: He finds a few logs and tree limbs and starts bringing them back. He’d have to go out and gather some more, probably, but this is a good start.

Parvus: He squawks at Tseth and playfully bats at his feet, then climbs up onto his shoulder.

Salmook: why does Parvus keeping following Tseth? Salmook himself isn't too sure how to feel about Parvus. something about a spiteful walking murder weapon isn't all that reassuring. Salmook keeps a bit of distance from Tseth as he walks on. if carrying Parvus on his shoulder wasn't enough of a deterrent, then the blood-drenched hands definitely are. "I… uh, I think see the path. _Hopefully?"

Tseth: He looks up from Parvus to the direction they're headed. "Oh. Good." He glances over at Juni. She hasn't said much along the way. Not very talkative.

Alex: He gets back to the small clearing where Resh is, dropping the wood he got into a small pile. He glances curiously over to some bushes that start to rustle.

Ater: He jumps out of the bushes looking marginally pissed. It seems everyone left while he was still asleep. He has some stray bits of plant in his fur.

Resh: He chuckles at Ater, then stands up as he places down the last few rocks. “Well hey there, furry little fuck.”

Juni: She looks up at Tseth. “…Uh- yeah, that’s great.” Oh shit, was I supposed to say something else? Did I zone out again?
