Salmook: cowering, and doesn't notice the weak spot "I don't want to die here! At least let me go home first!"

Tseth: The vines wrapping around him make him drop the sword in his left hand. He struggles as the vines confine him, twisting around his torso and limbs. His breathing becomes strained. “No no no- not again-“ He desperately tries to use the other sword to cut at the vines confining him.

Alex: As he regains his breath, he around and sees Tseth struggling. More so, though, he notices the glowing area on the creature’s back. “What in the…”

(Fun fact dark dragons stare at shiny/glowy things like cats you’re welcome)

Creature: It starts attacking Resh with various objects (tree roots and vines mostly), trying to knock him off his feet.

Resh: He dodges each blow with a strange gracefulness, slicing vines as they try to wrap around him.

Juni: She notices Tseth struggling, and takes advantage of the creature being distracted, sprinting over to him and using her daggers to help him cut the vines. “Hey— hey— calm down-“

Tseth: He stops struggling, for the most part, but is still in a state of panic. He watches intently as Juni cuts the vines, still not completely trusting of her. His eyes have changed from a light blue, to red irises surrounded by black. “A bit- difficult-“

Juni: She continues cutting the vines, letting out a few panicked chirps. Once she cuts through the vines completely, she takes a few steps back, looking at Tseth with concern. “Are you alright?”

Tseth: He looks relieved when he’s finally free, looking around again at what’s happening. He notices Resh—at least he thinks it’s Resh—dodging the creature’s attacks. And Alex, being an idiot. “…I’m fine. Thank you.” He sighs shakily. “If you’ll excuse me-” He picks up his swords, and sprints over to Alex. He gives Alex a swift tap to the head to snap him out of his trance-like state.

Alex: Back to clarity, he stands up again, looking up at Tseth “Shit- sorry-“ His expression is slightly guilty. “Uh- I think we need to hit that spot on its back.” He notices Tseth’s demeanor. “Are you okay?”

Tseth: Great, question of the day. “I will be. I guess we need to figure out how to hit it there, then.” He turns back towards the creature. Despite his vision being infrared in his state, he can see the area where the creature needs to be hit.

Juni: She looks around for a moment, then takes off, flying around the creatures head to try and distract it.

Creature: It hisses and swats at Juni, missing nearly every time, until she reacts a split second too late and gets hit.

Juni: She let’s out a strange, high-pitched noise of distress before she falls from midair, flapping her wings wildly in an attempt to right herself.

Resh: He notices Juni falling and rushes over to catch her.

Creature: It looks over at Resh and hits him in the back of the head with a tree root, knocking him unconscious.

Salmook: general terror, mixed with some worry… for the creature? "We aren't going to… kill it, are we..?"

Tseth: Looks over to Salmook “Do you have anything else in mind?” Because it certainly isn’t going to back down.

Salmook: conflicted, he's concerned about the creature, but he would also like to not die
"But I- I feel bad. What if I came into your home and hurt you?" Brief pause. "Which I- I wouldn't, definitely no. But- but it's an example."

Tseth: Interesting reasoning. “It attacked us first. This is a defense.”

Juni: continues falling and hits the ground hard, letting out a tiny, pained chirp

Alex: Moves over to Juni where she landed “Are you hurt?”
