(Hi! Sorry about the late reply, I'm sick :/ not with covid luckily, but probably strep so I spent the majority of yesterday sleeping. I'm back though!)

@bleeding_hearts

Iseul hissed softly, his eyes shutting as he tried to focus on breathing. Last night had been rough to put it lightly. He ran a hand through his hair and grunted as he pulled himself in front of a mirror, inspecting the bite on his thigh. It didn't look infected, which was good. But that wolf had come out of nowhere. He understood, she was just protecting her pups, and he had walked into his territory, but gods it hurt so bad. It felt like fire was coursing through his veins, and he just- he could figure out why. It didn't look infected, and he could still walk, but it felt like his heart was on fire. He grunted softly as he rolled over in his bed and grabbed his phone, sending a quick text to Peter, asking if they could meet up. He didn't know what to do at this point, and the last thing he wanted to do was go to his moms' and ask.

(Oh, I’m sorry to hear that and you feel better soon.)

Peter sighed as he picked up this phone, turning away from whatever project he was working on. Honestly, he wasn't even paying much attention to it anymore beyond watching his hands. But he smiled a little when he saw the message from Iseul and replied that he needed a break anyway and would meet him.
Sometimes, he couldn't believe that they were even friends in the first place because Peter was so quiet and bordering on anti-social, according to most people. But he had gotten used to it and was surprised by the fact that he had any friends at all.
He slipped on his favorite hoodie and old running shoes, and left the house without a word to his mom. Though he quickly made sure he had his phone and messenger bag before he got too far.

@bleeding_hearts

Iseul looked down when his phone buzzed, a relieved sigh leaving his lips at the message of Peter agreeing to meet up. But then he froze, realizing that- how was he supposed to tell Peter? He didn't even know what to say at this point. The sun was setting overhead… He groaned softly into his hands and rubbed his face soothingly. It's fine. It would be fine. He just needed to do his best and hope for that. He hummed as he moved to their spot, setting up camp under their tree. The spot was open enough for him and Peter to hang out. It was tucked into the forest, but it was an abandoned skatepark. It was still nice though.
Iseul didn't understand why Peter was friends with him. Iseul was a nice enough guy, he had been told so enough times for him to believe it more or less, but he wasn't all that interesting otherwise. He had his likes and dislikes of course, but he just wasn't sure why Peter stuck with him. But- he liked the company, and he liked hanging out with Peter.

Peter smiled a little as it got darker and picked up his pace, almost running as he got closer to the abandoned park. He knew there were plenty of things about that that would scare anyone else but Peter liked the dark and the only other person who knew about the park was Iseul. There was very little for him to be scared of right now.

It didn't take him too much longer before he saw the tree and slowed down. “Hey, Iseul.” he smiled softly once he was close enough that he wouldn't need to yell. “Spending the night?”

@bleeding_hearts

He smiled a little when he saw Peter, his eyes softening as he moved to stand. His body hurt and he didn't want to stand, but he would always smile at the sight of Peter running toward him. "Hey, there Peter!" He waved at the other, glad that Peter had been willing to meet up with him so late at night. He hummed as he moved closer to pull Peter into a hug and ruffle his hair affectionately. "Probably. Don't get me wrong, I love my mums but I don't need them asking me questions right now…" He huffed and moved towards the little tent he always set up when he felt the need to stay away from home. He liked being surrounded by nature and by the quiet at times. "Are you gonna stay with me, or just chill for a little while before heading back?"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Peter welcomed the hug he had known was coming but still gave a little squeak as his taller friend messed with his already shaggy hair. Though he chuckled softly at Iseul’s reasoning and nodded, understanding what his friend's mom's were like. “Sure. I can stay.” he nodded, knowing from experience that he was small enough for the tent not to feel crowded if they both slept inside. “You ok?” he asked as he sat down near the tent, running his fingers through his hair to fix what Iseul had messed up.

@bleeding_hearts

Iseul chuckled at the little noise that Peter made before letting out a relieved sigh as he released Peter from the hug. He was grateful that Peter wanted to stay with him. It felt slightly selfish to demand Peter to stay with him, so he was glad that the other agreed. Iseul didn't know if he wanted to spend the night alone. "I…" He debated for a moment if he wanted to tell Peter about the bite. It was big and he didn't want to worry his friend, that was the last thing he wanted to do. He hummed as he sat down in front of the tent and settled on his back, looking up at the stars. "I dunno…" He responds softly.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Peter raised a brow and looked over at Iseul in concern. “You wanna talk about it?” he asked, a little concerned at the soft way Iseul answered. Normally he was the quiet one, not Iseul. “What’s wrong? You know I'm a great listener.” he pointed out with a light chuckle, trying to encourage his friend.

@bleeding_hearts

Iseul fidgeted with some grass beside him, breaking it away and carefully looking it over as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. He slowly took a deep breath in before looking up and cracking a half smile. "Of course, I know you're a good listener. You let me talk about the weirdest shit when I want to… But this…" He took a trembling breath and set the grass down. "I just- I don't know what to think at this point. And it's… I just. You know I do stupid shit, right? Like, go into the woods alone? On a full moon?" He didn't know how else to word it. There had been speculation about werewolves, but for the most part, they were creatures of fantasy. And he had tested for rabies. Nothing. Maybe he had just been bitten by a wolf, but that wouldn't explain the fire in his blood, nor the sudden strength that he had received. It was just a theory… but… the more he looked at it the more it made sense.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Peter watched his friend, curious about what could be making him so nervous. Not only was he a good listener but he also was good at reading people. Since he didn't talk to many people, he just watched them instead and learned how to pick up certain cues for their behavior. Iseul was no exception to that. In fact, Peter could probably read him easiest because of their friendship.
“Yeah. You can be pretty reckless.” he shrugged, somewhere between teasing and just stating a fact. Though he raised a brow at the emphasis Iseul was putting on the moon. “Go on.” he encouraged. “What happened?”

@bleeding_hearts

Iseul paused before sighing and stretching out, "Well. I was dumb, and I was running around the forest late at night. I just wanted to see the world in a different light for a photography project I'm working on…" He sighed deeply, "And I wasn't paying attention… and yeah." He shook his head, "Long story short, I got bitten and now I have no idea what to do because a) I'm stronger and b) I feel like my entire body is on fire. I've already checked for everything else… and I just- Do you think?" He looked so lost and confused and incredibly scared. "I'm probably just going insane."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Peter looked at his friend with wide eyes as he processed all the information. It didn't sound like rabies at least but… Bitten during a full moon… And if Iseul had already done enough research to rule out the normal everyday stuff…
He sighed and shook his head, pulling his knees up to his chest. “I don't think you're crazy.” he murmured. “The situation maybe, but not you.” He wasn't surprised by the idea of his friend running around in the woods, actually he could even picture it. Iseul, alone taking all kinds of pictures for his project and not paying attention to the rest of his surroundings.
“What did it look like?” he asked, wanting to help but needing to know more.

@bleeding_hearts

Iseul inhaled sharply and shook his head. "I'm glad you don't think I'm crazy. But… This feels crazy." He glances around for a moment before taking a deep breath. "It- Looks. Like a wolf bite. But larger. And it hurts more." He sighed, "I'd show you, but it's on my thigh and I don't feel like taking my pants off just yet." He wiggles his brows playfully before his expression fell and he buried his head in his hands. "Fuck… How do I tell my moms??" He looked so fearful, "They won't believe me. What am I supposed to do?" He leans against a tree and sighed heavily.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Peter immediately turned red at the way Iseul wagged his eyebrows and the way he made that comment about taking off his pants. “The wolf! I meant the wolf, not the bite, you big dope!” he defended, punching his friend's shoulder indignantly. Though, given his smaller stature and the fact that Iseul said he felt stronger, he doubted the punch would feel like anything more than a tap.
“I… I don't know.” he sighed, calming down when Iseul mentioned his moms. “Why wouldn't they believe you?” he asked, fairly sure that he could show them the bite… Though they would probably take him to a doctor and who knows what they would tell the family.

@bleeding_hearts

He laughed at the way Peter turned red at his comment, feigning hurt when he was punched. "Ah! Oh no!! My arm! It's broken!" He faked crying, holding his arm to his chest before humming softly and laughing quietly before sighing. "It was fucking huge compared to any wolf I had seen before." He sighed deeply and shook his head, "Like- I know that wolves are larger in the wild, but that thing was maybe twice my size." He groaned softly as he rubbed his face. "I just don't know what to do at this point."
He glanced at his friend. "They'd probably put me in a mental hospital again." He rolled his eyes and placed his head in his arms. "I don't know what to do anymore."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“Jerk.” he muttered, smirking as Iseul teased him for the hit. But Peter nodded, humming slightly, trying to imagine a wolf twice the size of his friend. I probably wouldn't even reach the shoulder of something that big…
He winced apologetically for forgetting about Iseul’s time in a mental hospital. “Sorry.” he sighed. “You're probably right not to tell them. For what it’s worth, I believe you.”

@bleeding_hearts

Iseul hummed and offered a gentle smile as he was called a jerk, still chuckling every once and a while. He hummed and waved his hand when Peter apologized. "Nothing to worry about, to be completely honest. I'm fine!" He really was. The mental hospital had helped him figure out a lot of things. But his moms… well… They were overly worried he'd pull something again, so if he went to them talking about being bitten by a werewolf, that would be another thing to add to the list. And he was getting really tired of lists.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Peter smirked faintly and nodded, relieved that Iseul was so easygoing. Besides he trusted his friend and wasn't as worried as his moms apparently were. “Well, if you are right about… that, then the only way to be sure that I can think of is to wait until the next full moon.” he admitted thoughtfully.

@bleeding_hearts

Iseul hummed faintly and nods, "I'm scared though. What am I supposed to do if I turn though? What if I accidentally hurt you?" That was his biggest fear, accidentally hurting someone that meant so much to him. He adored Peter, and he knew it was selfish to ask if Peter would stay with him on the night of the full moon. What if he hurt his friend on accident? What if he did something horrible? He was scared to put it lightly.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Peter smiled softly and shook his head. “I’ll be ok. I'm a little scared too but you‘re my friend. I trust you.” he assured. “And if you do turn, then we’ll figure it out.”
He didn't want to get hurt either but he was just as worried about Iseul getting hurt too. He was a nice guy and probably the only person who Peter felt comfortable around besides his mom. He didn't want anything to happen to Iseul from this.

@bleeding_hearts

Iseul sighed deeply and smiled a little at Peter, "I really appreciate that… And… Thanks for not thinking I'm insane or something." He muttered softly, his eyes shutting for a brief moment as pain throbbed through his body. "We'll figure it out eventually. Who knows, maybe I'm just imagining things." He laughed a little. "Anyways. Enough of that. How are you holding up Peter?" He smiled at his dear friend, his eyes warm.
