Sylvia glared at the hero, "Well, I'm surprised that murder still isn't added to your list of crimes, Citrina." She impulsively threw the flames and a few large shards of poison lined glass at the hero in rage.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Citrine glared at the nickname and dodged the careless attacks. “Well, this is mature of you.” he scoffed. “I make a generous offer at you start throwing poison at me.”

Clarissa watched the fight from as safe a place as she could find and couldn't help but glare. She knew Citrine’s reputation as a public hero, though she always thought he was a little much at times. And she was not a fan of the flashy yellow-green cape he wore. But right now, he was annoying her more than Sylvia had been. Especially with his misogynistic attitude.

"Yeah right, playboy. Are we just gonna ignore the fact that you should be dead by now?" She kept blindly throwing the shards at Citrine, "Go mess with some other girl, or guy. I don't know, you're probably gay as hell."

The words came pouring out of her mouth irrationally, only thing on her mind was revenge. While she attacked the hero, around fifty or more black, shadow-like snakes slithered out from behind her and latched their fangs on her nemesis, "Frickin' hypocrite."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“Oh, come on. First of all, you're not even trying.” the hero pointed out, rolling his eyes. “And second, rude! And a bit of a hypocrite yourself.” Citrine smirked, dropping out of the way of her latest barrage. Though once the shadow snakes grabbed him, he focused on pulling them off.

Deleted user

"Oh really? And how so?" Glad her distraction had worked; Sylvia aimed a medium sized shard at Citrine's stomach and simultaneously threw several tiny shards at the rest at his body.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“You’re joking, right?” he scoffed, using his telekinesis to lift a piece of debris and block the large shard. “You really expect me to believe that the reason you obsess over how I dealt with your predecessor is just because of a mentor/mentee relationship?” he asked smugly.

Clarissa’s eyes widened at the implication of Citrine’s statement before finding herself running at him. “You bastard!” she screamed, not caring if he was right or just trying to get under Slyvia’s skin.

"She was like an older sister to me, you idiot." Sylvia's eyes widened when she saw Clarissa running towards Citrine. She trapped her in a net-like aura from a distance and lifted her back to where she was before.

After that, she used her telekinesis to grow large vines behind the hero, wrapping around him like boa constrictors.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Clarissa grunted as she was thrown back and tried to get back up.

“Oh? Was that who you kidnapped?” Citrine asked, ignoring Slyvia’s comment as he started snapping the vines. “Not a very smart girl is she?”

Trying to catch her breath, Sylvia whipped her head around to face her enemy, “Whether she is smart or not, shouldn’t matter to you.” Still breathing heavily, she clenched her fist until it turned white.

Blood trickled down the hero’s throat as it slowly slit open, as if an invisible knife went down his neck. “I’ve been perfecting this for a year now…” She almost whispered as she struggled to keep herself suspended in midair. “And I don’t regret it one bit.” Sylvia managed to form a crazed smile as she staggered backwards, uncurling her fist to let him bleed.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Citrine gasped, actually surprised by the new ability and the fact that he was bleeding. He quickly brought this hand up to staunch the blood flow and glared at Sylvia before flying out. Most likely heading back to his base to get healed.

Clarissa stared in shock at the injury and the way that Sylvia seemed to be enjoying it.

Sylvie could only gaze blankly ahead of her once the hero left. She let herself fall to the ground, still a bit disoriented and started to cough up small droplets of blood. Her mind eventually straightened itself a bit, allowing her to look around and try to stand up. "So, where were we?"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Clarissa didn't move. On one hand, she was worried about Sylvia after seeing her cough up blood and wondered if she was alright… But on the other, it was clear to her that the villain wasn’t alright because she had just used her power to cut the throat of another person and seemed to get some kind of twisted pleasure from it. Yes, she knew that the two powered individuals were enemies but the sight still made her feel sick.
“You stay back.” she warned feebly, slowly managing to put some distance between them.

Deleted user

"Why? What happened?" The villainess asked completely oblivious. She brushed her long hair back with her hand.

"Are you alright? You shouldn't have run into the fight like that, that's-" Sylvia tried to breathe normally as she stood up. She turned her head around to painfully cough up some more blood into her sleeve. "That's very dangerous, especially for you."

She glanced at the red stains on her arm and tried to wipe it off with her other hand.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Clarissa blinked incredulously at the questions. “You… Are you seriously asking me that? You just used your power to cut his throat! And you were smiling!” she pointed it out as if it was the most oblivious thing around them. “I get you two are enemies but… That is not how you get someone to trust you. And don't you talk to me about dangerous. You're coughing up blood and are still clearly a villain.” she added still very mad at Citrine for his comments.

Deleted user

"Yeah, so? So what if I smiled while I slit his throat, what is it to you?!" Clutching her abdomen with her left hand, she limped towards the broken wall. "You've should have seen him when he killed her! And I've been through dangerous stuff before, not you, heck, I am the dangerous person here."

Sylvia limped a bit further ahead, her back facing Topaz. She held out her hand, however, the green flame she was holding flickered and faded into ashes. "Dammit. I shouldn't have used that," she muttered to herself.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“So? So, it's sick!” Clarissa exclaimed. “I don't care what you've been through. At least, I know I’m sane.” she jabbed, though she considered having that fact double-checked at some point. Hopefully soon before she actually developed Stockholm syndrome.

She sighed, running her fingers through her hair in some degree of frustration before she marched over to Sylvia. “Come on. You need to show me what you have for a medical room in this place.” she said flatly, ready to grab the villainess and… Not carry her but more like support her on the way there.

Deleted user

Sylvia ignored the girl's words and tried to pick up a piece of debris, she let out a pained hiss before dropping the block and clutching her side once more. Her head was throbbing, she had barely any idea why the new powers had affected her that badly.

When the lady headed toward her, she tried to avoid her, although she desperately needed the help. "It's upstairs, it'll take too long to get there," she coarsely whispered.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Clarissa didn't care if the villainess was listening or not at this point. It was obvious that they were going to have a lot of arguments over morality if she was going to be stuck here for however long.

“Then you’d better hold on tight.” she warned, being careful of the injury as she grabbed Sylvia’s arm and placed it over her shoulders before making her way to the stairs as fast as she could.

Deleted user

Surprised but weak, Sylvia simply let her do whatever. "W- why are you doing this I- I don't deserve this…" She tried to leave Topaz and walk up the multiple stairs herself, however her steps started to falter. "Just… go… do something… I can do the rest."

She knew for a fact she would pass out on the stairs, but she did not want to lose her remaining ounce of dignity… not at the moment.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Clarissa sighed at the question but didn't answer, choosing to focus on getting Sylvia up the stairs. Because, honestly, she didn't know why she was doing this, and part of her suspected that she would regret helping sooner or later. But she just couldn't leave the other woman in this condition. “We’ll debate whether or not you deserve this after the fact. For now, just keep talking. Stay awake until we get the right room.” she instructed gruffly.

@definitelyNOT_Avry group

Sylvia's body gave up on her before her ego could, and simply let her protégé help her up the stairs, "Y'know… sometimes I forget how big these staircases are…" She chuckled, slightly gasping for breath afterwards. "It's just up the stairs. First door you see I think…" She took another deep breath, wanting to talk, yet realizing that it was no longer much of a possibility.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

(Yay! Just did a quick reread, so I’m all caught up again)

Clarissa made a gruff noise of frustration as the villainess nearly collapsed. She didn't know what was wrong, but damn if she was going to let her get worse. “Just hang in there.” she instructed through gritted teeth, as she shifted her hold and kept climbing. “Can you tell me what hurts?”

@definitelyNOT_Avry group

(Yay! :D)

"Man… you're no fun. It's gonna be a long few months." She sighed at the simple question, not really knowing how to respond. As Sylvia debated whether to reply with humor or honesty, she was only able to spill out, "Everything… everything hurts."
Her mind wandered back to her first powered combat with Kendric, when she was barely a teen. The newfound power left her barely able to stand, yet Kendric helped her up the stairs the same way she was being helped at the moment. "You did so well today, Sylvie. You've really improved so much… Don't worry, you can rest now."
Sylvia whispered a weak, "Thank you…" as she faded further out of consciousness.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Clarissa deliberately chose not to respond to the villainess’s first comment but nodded at the information regarding her pain. “I’m not a medic but I’ll see what I can do.” she admitted, finally seeing the door she was supposed to reach. “We’re almost there.”

@definitelyNOT_Avry group

Sylvia nodded weakly, now losing the strength to speak. At the very peak of the staircase, her conscience wavered in and out until it finally faded, letting her sink into a dark abyss, or in the girl's perspective, went limp.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Clarrissa grumbled to herself as she felt the other go limp. “Can't believe I got kidnapped by you, found out that our local hero is actually a jerk, charged at him… I don't know what I was thinking when I did that.” she scoffed, shaking her head as she propped the unconscious woman against the wall so she could open the door ahead of them. “Now, I have to try to patch you up cause I know I’ll hate myself if I let you die cause I didn't do anything.” she sighed.

@definitelyNOT_Avry group

As the woman opens the door, she is greeted by a more warmly presented room compared to the rest of the abandoned castle. It seems like an attempt to seem cozy and comfortable, almost like a bedroom with few randomized medical supplies and varying bottles and jars, both items disorganized on the Victorian desk next to the bed. A cupboard and shelf are also in the room, but they just seem like they're simply there to fill up negative space.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Clarissa barely took in the space, beyond raising a brow at how different this room was from the rest of what she’d seen, before dragging the villainess inside.

“Alright.” she grunted once she had the other woman on the bed… albeit a bit haphazardly. “Let’s see what I can do.”

@definitelyNOT_Avry group

Sylvia is sprawled onto the bed, unaware of her surroundings or anything at all. However, the little snake around her neck came alive and slid down the bed post, toward the desk. Once he had slithered up the desk leg and landed on the desk, he approached a dark bottle labeled "Smelling Salts." He tapped his head on the bottle a few times, making a small clinking noise against it.
