She smirks, suddenly bursting into flames before their eyes. Every part of her was covered in fire like the Human Torch, and her eyes were now mere circles of red. Her hair floated above her head like an inferno, and her flame-like mouth turned up in another grin.
"It may seem weak to you," she said, "But honestly, where I come from, this is pretty cool."
Phoenix, to his credit, didn't completely jump out of his skin when the girl turned into a blazing inferno. He did, however, start so badly that he almost slipped to the floor.
Rayla gasps and smiles, running forward and examining the flames, grabbing one of Danica's arms and holding it up against the light.
"Remarkable! I didn't know humans could do things like this!" she exclaims happily. "How did you learn to do this? Or were you born this way? Does it hurt? Do you get scars?"
Kathy seemed really intrigued by what he was witnessing. He laughs, “Damn backyard bonbires must be amazing!” He cackles, “Someone get me some marshmallows!”

She replies to Rayla, "I was born this way, it doesn't hurt at all. I only get hurt if I touch water." She turns sharply to Kathy, her flames seeming to get angrier, "Don't get any ideas, Kathy." She growls. She points an accusatory finger at Nikki, "Or you."
(Yes haha!! i laughed at the marshmallows!! I almost had Danica get some for you XD)
Kathy cackles, throwing his head back.
(Hmmm. . . we can still have marshmallows lol)
Rayla smiles as the flames get hotter in reaction to Danica's anger.
But the marshmallows were a good idea, so she pulled some from the mortal realm and tosses them to Kathy, along with a bunch of long, metal skewers.
"Very interesting!" she murmurs, poking at the girl's skin here and there.
She ignores the prodding by Rayla as she sighs over Kathy's unruly laughter, "Look, I can't trust you after saying your hobby is killing people. You can't blame me for that."
Kathy keeps laughing, “Ayo! perfect!” He chuckles, popping a marshmallow in his mouth.
Phoenix frowns at Kathy casually roasting marshmallows and Rayla prodding Danica, heedless of any discomfort it might be causing the flaming girl. After a moment of which the antics didn't stop, he stood.
"Hey, did you guys think to ask before getting up in her personal space?" the young man said, taking a step forward as though to step between Danica and the other two.
Kathy shrugs, “Im all about it, thats why I’m not actually doing anything, Bucko.”
Rayla's cheeks turn an orangish-purple color as she steps back and clears her throat.
"Erm- right, sorry." she says belatedly.
Phoenix nods, his expression still firm, but not hostile. Absently, he brushes crimson bangs out of his eyes as he slowly sits back down next to Nikki.
"I'm not trying to pick a fight," he says, aiming the comment at Kathy, "I'm just saying; let's keep things civil."
Danica gives a grateful glance at Pheonix before her flames fizzle out. She checks herself to make sure she's no longer on fire before she claps her hands together.
"Right. So, anyone else have anything to share about themselves before I go get snacks? Since marshmallows were mentioned and summoned, I assume some of us are hungry."
Kathy chuckles, “I just haven’t had lunch yet-“ he pops another marshmallow in his mouth.
At the mention of food, Phoenix's stomach growls. He grimaces; he didn't realize he hadn't eaten in a while.
"I like chicken," he commented tentatively.
(where did everyone else go lol there are like two characters who haven't talked in ages)
"Chicken…" Danica looks thoughtful, "I might have some dino nuggets in the freezer…."

Phoenix stared at Danica, nonplussed.
"What in Sheodor are dino nuggets?" he blurted out, "And what do they have anything to do with chicken?"
(I keep switching between past and present tense, HELP XD)
Kathy laughs, “its fried chicken in funny shapes.”

The red-haired boy furrows his brow, still frowning.
"Why would anyone cut chicken into funny shapes?" he asks, "Chicken is for eating."
Kathy laughs, “Its to look more appealing. Especially towards children. Trust me, I’ve gotta 5 year old brother at home and a 6 year old niece.”
Phoenix's eyebrows shoot up in surprise, "You have siblings?"
He winces when he realizes how indelicate that sounds, but it's too late to take the comment back.
