(Jasper is just Jasper lol. Though I bet she would love to meet all the pets she would genuinely ask what kinda creature it was because she has forgotten-)
(Okay first of all, I'm so sorry I've been ridiculously busy and I didn't have any notifications for this for a bit!)
( @EtherealDreamer I'm so sorry if it was due to my comment. I hope it wasn't but I'm really sorry if it was. I don't want to leave you out. If that's the reason, we can totally put your character with someone! But either way, I'm sorry to see you go :( )
(To everyone, I'm so sorry I'll get a reply up today! I'm at work rn :,)
(no, no, it has nothing at all to do with that :) don't beat yourself up abt it ;) I just realised that this roleplay requires kind of lengthy and descriptive responses that i don't really have time to write bc of school plus the other, like, 8 roleplays i'm in atm, so that's why. I hope I didn't scare you to much—)
(Oh okay. I'm sorry about that. It was nice having you. Thank you)
(I will have Rachel probably be the in the forest where Jax is so she can interact with him, and also have colt be with her)
A bit deeper into the forest was a ginger women, and a boxer going through the forest. The Boxer, Colt, heard a zombie close to them. A bit to close for comfort, and padded through the forest towards where Jax and Phoenix were at.
Rachel swiftly followed after her dog, doing her best to avoid making noise as she hurried after him. She heard the zombie groaning as it was being attacked, but when she got closer she whistled at colt. He immediately stopped and came back to her to as she slowly approached the scene.
Her boots crushed the leaves, though she tried to step on the less crunchy ones as she approached.
Colt growled softly at the zombie as she watched Phoenix tear into it. Rachel looked through the trees as she noticed Jax was sitting there, his clothes looked damp though she was unsure if he had a bite anywhere on him.
She walked a little closer to where Jax was, colt at her side. She didn't want to alert aby other zombies in the area so she picked up an accorn from the ground and threw at his face.
Phoenix tore into the zombie, protecting Jax from it. She ruthlessly slammed it against a tree, looking over the lifeless body. A job well done. Now her master wouldn’t be harmed. Phoenix perked her ears at the sound of leaved crunching, shaking her pelt from any debris. Strange. It was just her and Jax. Sniffing the air. Phoenix found another scent. Human. She started to growl, baring when she saw Colt. Phoenix back farther away from the other dog, getting closer to her owner. Nothing was going to hurt him. Not today. Not again. She pressed a cold nose to his shivering figure, whimpering as her was cold to the touch. She now wanted the big, hateful man to come help, but there was no way he would allow them back.
Jax sulked, his head tucked between his knees. He couldn’t stop thinking about the confrontation with Cass. It tore him up. He only friend was now not his friend. The only person who was friendly to him snapped at him. What a misery. He started to shake from his cold, damp clothes. Hearing Phoenix’s barks in the background wasn’t very— relaxing. She was loud as hell. But Jax wasn’t about to yell at her, not at the moment. He took a deep breath, pulling his satchel closer. Hearing leaves crunch scared him, and he lifted his head for a moment. Only then did he realize that Phoenix had her nose pressed against him. Looking down at his dog then his hands, he needed to get back inside. It’s not like it was still winter, but it wasn’t exactly warm either. As soon as her tried to get himself up—THWACK! An acorn hit him in the face. Looking around, he saw another human, and he nearly jumped out of his skin. Cass definitely wasn’t going to let him back inside now. Jax slid back onto the ground.
Colt growled at Phoenix as well, wanting to make sure that Rachel wouldn't be harmed by the dog that just killed a zombie in front of them.
Rachel sighed softly, seeing the guy seemingly looking around her age slump back down and sit. She snapped at Colt who stopped growling, before looking over at Jax.
"What's wrong with you huh? You get bit or something? Your clothes look drenched and yet your out here in the cold wind. You do realize you can catch a cold right?"
She spoke to him, almost as if she was lecturing him. She spoke in a low tone of voice so that she wasn't loud enough for anyone but Jax to hear her. She would get closer but she wanted to make sure he hadn't been bit yet. She wasn't taking any risks when it came to zombie related stuff. She had a hand near the back of her pants, where her concealed carry was. If he was infected it might be easier to put him out of his misery…but she didn't want to shoot the dog. It would definitely attacked her if she shot him so she hoped the guy wasn't bit. Though thats assuming he even told her anything, she did just show up out of nowhere.
(First Cass, now Rachel. One of these days, Jax is gonna get shot XD)
(Lol it's possible. Let's just hope they don't run into Jesse anytime soon.)
Jax called out a command to Phoenix, and she huffed. She went and sat by her owner’s side, glaring at Colt. She didn’t trust these people. She trusted them as much as the big man. Very little. Jax looked up at Rachel, his eyes soft with melancholy. He looked like he’d been through a hell of a lot. “What’s wrong with me? I decided to take a walk after a heated argument. That’s what’s with me.” He turned his head away. “No. I am not bit. So don’t even think about putting me out of my misery. I’ve already been through that act before.” Phoenix started to whine, pointing her nose in the direction of the farm house. Maybe Rachel could reason with the big, scary man. Jax glared at his dog. “Yes, I do realize that. But wasting away outside might be better for a screw-up like me than anything.” He hissed. He didn’t like where this conversation was going. “I didn’t get a chance to change before I left. It was a sudden thing.” Jax slung his satchel over his shoulders, listening to the wind ruffling the leaves. It was awful out here, but he wouldn’t be able to return. No.
Rachel just looked at him as if she was looking at an idiot. Which in her opinion. Jax was being really idiotic right now.
"Is there something wrong with your head then? Because you would have to be brain damaged to not realize that this cold wind chill and your wet clothes don't mesh well together. The fact that you didn't even bring a spare set with you when you left the house dosent help either! I mean gosh, we're you just gonna let yourself freeze out here or what?" She huffed at him like she was talking to a child that had just done something stupid.
Colt just stared at Jax with a look of you are a dumb human, before glaring at Phoenix.
"I mean honestly, might as well let zombies eat you if your just going to let yourself waste away, who cares about a stupid argument? Would you die just because your stubborn of your point?"
(Lol when I say Rachel does not have a filter and she is blunt as heck I mean it lol, sorry jax)
(Jax is having a tough day lol)
(Lol yeah he is)
(Sorry for like, info bombing you guys about Rachel but here's her pinterest if you want it. https://pin.it/5ecm4tb)
(If you could, whenever you have anything thats not a post or like a smaller thing in (parentheses) be sure to post it in the group chat! That's one of the main reasons we made it! :D)
(also dont say sorry for it! We love it!)
(Will do ^^ I can always delete them from here and put them in the groupchat if you want?)
Jax was already having a hard day, and Rachel added to it. What was with everyone talking down to him like he was a child? Sure, he could be a little stubborn, but he wasn’t a goddamn child. Phoenix barked at Rachel, trying to get her to look in the direction of the house, but Jax told her to be quiet. He wanted to hear the soft breeze rattling the trees, not dogs barking. “Listen, I don’t feel like getting talked down to. I’ve already been yelled at today. I don’t feel like finding someone else to yell at me.” He finally stood, brushing the leaves and acorns off of his soaked clothes. “I didn’t have to grab the extra set. I’m not an idiot. I realize cold and wet don’t mix, but I had nowhere else to be alone. I needed to clear my head.” Jax huffed, grabbing his satchel. “I don’t care about the argument anymore. I care that I’m no good. I have no use. My dog almost drowned someone's child, for god’s sake!” He stomped his foot on the ground, and phoenix solemnly walked over to his side. “If you want me to get my clothes, you can come with.” He started to walk towards the point of no return, the leaves crunching under his boots. “But be careful. This man doesn’t like dogs anymore, and he’ll have a gun at your throat if you go near his kid.”
Rachel just stared at him with a hardened gaze as she watched him finally get up from the ground while still speaking to her.
She sighed softly, "your dog almost drowned a kid? Was it on purpose?" She asked as she moved to follow after him, her boots also crushing the leaves as they walked.
Colt was walking at her side, growling at Phoenix every now and then until Rachel snapped and he stopped. Just remaining glaring at Phoenix and being protective of Rachel. She rolled her eyes at him suggesting she go with him, but figured if he had a place that was inside instead of out in the option she might as well check it out. Who knows, maybe she could stay there if it was more or less empty and still in good condition.
"If he points the gun at my dog, I will point a gun at him. I couldn't care less about the kid." She was more or less telling the truth. She didn't like whiney little brat kids that were spoiled. However she did like some kids and was less likely to shoot the guy if he had a daughter.
Depending on what type of dad he was. She would not hesitate to shoot him or he threatened his daughter and she found out.
(Will do ^^ I can always delete them from here and put them in the groupchat if you want?)
You can if you want to! I think it would be a good idea so we dont get confused and we save space on the pages! But most definitely add them to the group chat!!)
"You may not care about the child or anyone for that matter but…" Cherry bit her bottom lip in thought, wondering if she should bring it up now. Would Jesse get mad?
"You care about some things. You act tough so you don't seem weak, but I think it's okay to show a little more of the side of you playing with your dog" She pauses. "It was nice seeing that." She says now, only above a whisper.
Cherry stepped out of the way when Jesse looked away from Angela.
"I know I sound like someone who'll get killed for doing stupid things like this, but I just.." She trailed off. Maybe it wasn't the time to stand up for others in the apocalypse but something inside her would not leave her alone knowing that a kid would see these types of things, especially when they didn't need to. Yes, it was bound to happen, but it was unnecessary now. Why add to that?
"I just want some peace and quiet, I also think Pip could use a little of that now. Talking things out is fine, just keep it down and try not to hurt anyone, we already have enough of that in this world, a little less wouldn't hurt" She said, suddenly feeling very defeated. It didn't help that Cherry herself had what she thought was a migraine, or maybe a glorified headache. It felt heavy being someone who was nice all the time, it's why she never did anything….until now.
Cherry sat down, to keep her head from spinning. If she wasn't nice and tried to find the middle ground, who was she? She certainly didn't want to turn into someone who looked at the world in such bad light, no matter the circumstance. Though, that did seem easier.
Cherry didn't want easier.
Ghabiun stares at him for a few seconds, wagging his stub of a tail and swaying his hips to the side. He turns his head towards Shaun's car with the cat in it, his pointed short ears pointing straight up on the top of his head before he walks over to the car and looks into the window to find the cat, sniffing the car door before letting out a low growl.
(Ghabiun wants the omnipotent God. But if he cannot get that, he will settle for Shaun's leg as a chew toy and today's dinner instead XD)
Jesse wasn't too phased by Pip yelling, as she was more surprised he hadn't done it sooner. Though she questioned whether or not the kid was as little as he was letting on with how well he spoke. Though at the same time she knew the trauma could develop the brain a lot faster than it should and she guessed that was what had happened with Pip.
Not that she cared in the least about him or his trauma and feelings. Why would she? It wasn't like this was her own child. She would be disappointed if he didn't have any trauma nowadays.
Though was did surprise her was Cherry's words. She raises her eyebrows and stares hard at Cherry, not saying a word.
How dare her. Who gave her the right to say something like that? To, first of all, watch her in moments when she thought she was alone, showing weakness and care for something else, as this wasn't something that came easily to Jesse due to her past and her trauma.
It was one thing to see her in her state of weakness, but another thing to blurt it out in front of everyone. That wasn't her secret to share. And whether or not Cherry saw it as that deep, Jesse sure as hell did.
Jesse clamps her teeth down hard on her tongue as Cherry lashes out, clenching her jaw and not looking Cherry in the eye, as she never did with anyone.
"You go back to hell where you crawled out of with the rest of the walkers, you untrustworthy piece of shit," she says to Cherry when she's done, breathing hard. She shoves past Cherry, not saying anything else. How Jesse said her words were different than all of the other times she had lashed out against everyone else. Her tone was softer and quieter and it was obvious she meant every word she said to Cherry.
Jesse would normally hit the side of her arm at Cherry's shoulder but she avoids coming in contact with her at all and slips out of the RV.
She felt disrespected even before Cherry's rant as nobody showed her the slightest bit of gratitude. She stitched up Angela's leg, offered Pip medical supplies and attention, and offered all of them protection from the outside world. And they didn't seem to care. Though Jesse didn't begin to think about how rude she was being towards them.
She felt shoved off and not appreciated and she didn't like it one bit. And it sure as hell didn't help when Cherry called her and her vulnerability out as if it were her deepest and darkest secret that had been blurted out to people she didn't trust.
She steps out of the RV, not noticing Shaun still beside and she lets out a heavy "huff" of air and turns away, her jaw still clenched.
(D: Cherry! You hurt Jesse's feelings >;( )
Peregrine curled in on himself a bit when Jesse stormed off, clearly afraid of her and feeling responsible for this most recent outburst even though she was more upset with Cherry. He didn't notice that. He only made the connection that he had done something 'wrong' by snapping at everyone and that now people were upset, so it must be his doing. His eyes stung with tears and he hiccuped, drawing his knees close to his chest. When he pulled his hands away from his face, there was blood on his mouth and cheeks from being touched by his untreated hands. He hadn't noticed it yet, thankfully, since it would probably be pretty upsetting to him.
"I-I'm sorry, I'm sorry…!" Pip insisted weakly after Jesse had left the RV. "No, no, no, no, no…" This is all my fault. Why didn't I keep my mouth shut? This is what sir and ma'am were always talking about… He hiccuped again and curled up tighter, trembling. Now these people were going to kick him out and he would have nowhere to go. He was sure of it.
Angela held pip closer to her "hey it's fine everything is alright nothing bad is going to happen you I promise your safe I won't let anything happen to you I swear. " she to care to not hurt him or touch his hands as she comforted him she wasn't exactly the best with children all but her sister but she had no idea what were to happen to her family they were nearly 3 states over and no cell phones she'd likely never see he little sister again
