Naize growled
Naize growled
"Osiris…you need to calm down" Devon said. His eyes had gone dark again, but he didn't let his anger and frustration show in his actions, well, he tried not to. When Osiris raised his voice Devon flinched and stepped back.
Seriph looks over at Devon.
"I've got this. Just watch, and wait. If Bane wakes up, hold him down."
Osiris growled back at the cat. The muscles in his face twitched. “I am not going to watch my words just to make you feel better. You're defending a beast. Sorry, I don’t understand what you’re getting at…BUT YOU’RE FUCKING NUTS.” Osiris turned heel, crossing his arms. “I can speak my mind if I want. Free speech, isn’t that what they say, weirdo.”
"nope, I am not dealing with this." Devon turned and walked away.
Seriph's face goes cold, hard, when Osiris growls back at Naize. He sets down the cat, then slams the hellhound through the brick walls of the house with a flick of his fingers, not even touching the hellhound.
"Do not threaten Naize." he says softly, yet clearly.
(Now it’s time for Bane to wake up and face the pain of not remembering >:3)
(Lol, yeah, and wonder who threw Osiris through a wall, so he can go thank them.)
(why woudl someone ask Devon to hold the guy who killed his twin down?)
(I dunno. But then again, Seriph is used to giving orders, even if the orders hurt. And besides, Seriph knows that Devon can and will do it, even if he doesn't want to. That boy likes to please people.)
A low whimper came from Bane. His nose twitched as he came to. He had a hard time opening his eyes. Moments like this were the only bliss he was going to get. He had filled everyone's world with hurt, but he didn't know it. He didn't know the damage he had done. Unforgivingly, his mind still let him feel the pains of shame, guilt, and sadness. It didn't take long to piece together what had happened. Instead of becoming a mad dog once again, he broke into long periods of tears and sniffles, pausing to try to take in a breath. But he couldn't. He couldn’t take a deep breath. Bane scooted himself into the shadows. He didn't want to see anyone, face anyone, hear anyone, or be near anyone. Everything hurt, and he didn't like pain. He didn't like all the pain. He wanted it to go away. Bane figured it would be better for everyone if he ran away like a coward. Like a child who hated his parents. He drew his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around his legs, shaking horribly. He started to rock. It was Bane's only soothing method from when he was a boy. When his dad would push him to tears and be met with 'Big boys don't cry'. The whimpering and crying got louder and louder, despite wanting to draw zero attention to himself. He whispered oh so silently, "Big boys don't cry."
Devon approached Bane, he had his arms crossed and a look of hatred upon his face, not that he was aware of it. He wasn't going to let Bane run. Not until he was confronted on what he did. Devon knew what it was like to blackout, to go out and kill someone and come back having no idea what happened. Hell his leg was still sore from the last time he did. He watched Bane freaking out, not offering to calm the hellhound down, instead letting him have a breakdown. It did hurt him, as he tried to be a good person, but he needed to be angry…he had no family left now…and it was Bane's fault. He had never thought it would happen…he was sure he would die long before his twin. Yet there he was…alone.
Seriph walks towards Bane and kneels next to him, a gentle look on his face now, despite having just literally thrown Osiris through a wall.
"Why don't 'big boys' cry? Is it because you need to be strong?" he whispers. "If so, there's no need to be. . ."
He looks behind him, at Lis, who was back already, still looking the same. Well, mostly. She looks tired.
"Hey, Bane. . ." she says, before her legs give and she falls unconscious.
Bane flinched away. His mind was still healing, and he needed some time alone. People being nurturing towards him after what he had done.. was weird. It scared him. He backed into the shadows further only to bump into Dev. Bane slowly looked up at him and whimpered. He started shaking harder. “Daddy said only children whine about their wrongdoings. He said big boys smile through it… they were proud of themselves.” He was barely audible. “I didn’t mean to kill mommy—“ Bane started to list every kill made by him. It didn’t matter if his dad forced him or if it was a feral rage. He still committed them. He drew little letters on the ground. “I didn’t…” He drew an X. “I didn’t want to kill this one either.” The X represented June. He didn’t know who it was yet, he couldn’t bear to know. As of right now, Bane only could handle as much as a 5-year-old child could. That’s how fragile he was. It wouldn’t take long for him to go back to normal, but he needed to be handled with care right now.
Devon glared at Bane, and muttered, "my sister…" he turned and walked off, he couldn't deal with this weak side of Bane, it would make him pity the hellhound. He wasn't about to do that. He went back to Osiris, still mad at that hellhound too.
Seriph sighs. I am going to kill Cerberus. . .
They move aside for Lis, who's just gotten back up again, not in her flirty/lovey state. She hugs Bane.
Bane let out a little squeak and started to cry more. “Why did you leave me? Uncle… uncle Orthrus said you never leave behind a mate. No matter the consequences.” He had questioning eyes, his voice still broken from all the screaming and howling. “Why couldn’t I have had a better dad?” His words came out in little hiccoughs. He might have been weak at the moment, but he was stronger than he ever knew, especially with growing up having a dad like Cerberus. “Don’t go anywhere. Don’t disappear. Don’t break any more promises..” Using his foot, he scratched out the letters in the dirt. He needed to put his past behind him, but he never found a way. Everything reminded him of his dad. Speaking of his dad, there was an unknown force stalking the shadows. Watching.

Osiris frowned at Dev. His hair was plastered to his face, and his face was healing itself. “Hi.” He said sourly. He was still angry at the vampire for throwing him through the wall. “Have time to talk?” Osiris figured he needed to apologize. It’s been a rough day for everyone. Mostly for his partner. “Or do you want to be left alone?”
Devon sighed and ran his hand over his face, "you know, I don't know why I seem to be so…attached to you…and you really….just…you yelled at me…yeah I hit you but look what happened, you got threw into the wall for not listening to me"
Osiris sighed, trying to stand himself up, but he stayed on the ground. "Look, buttercup, I'm sorry. I was just pissed, but it was no excuse to yell at you. I didn't like being smacked, it hurt. It still hurts—not physically. I'm not talking physically. Talking about in here." He put a fist over his heart. "Yeah, I got thrown through a wall, but it was another one of today's valuable lessons. I will listen to you from now on. I promise." He bowed his head formally as means of respect and sincerity.
Naize sat watching, worried beyond belief and trying to protect seriph. She paces uneasily
Lis chuckles, tiredly and softly, running a hand through Bane's hair.
"I was keeping you from getting hurt. . . and I don't care if it hurt. I'd do it again. It nearly killed me to get up, and yet I did it." she whispers.
"That doesn't matter." she murmurs, gesturing behind her. A small group of hellhounds appears, in chains. Each and every single link was engraved with the most powerful runes and spells of heaven. "See? That'll draw out Cerberus for sure. Especially considering there's a few 'dead' relatives there. . ."
"I won't, love. I won't. I swear, we'll stay together from here on out." she whispers.
Seriph watches, then shrugs.
"Well I suppose you certainly succeeded, Alice." he laughs, gesturing vaguely towards the forest.
Bane let out little whimpers, his hands still shaking from the shock of it all. His pupils were dilated to the size of dinner plates. He grabbed onto the back of her shirt, his claws unintentionally digging into her back. "No, Lis. I can protect myself. You're not allowed to leave me—hurt me again. Not again…" He whispered gently, "Don't do it again… I'm going to have nightmares for weeks." His voice was oddly soft. He couldn’t talk above a certain vocal range. Bane glanced at the group of chained hounds, and a pit in his stomach dropped. His eyes went wide, and he buried his head into the crook of Li's neck. "NO LIS! NO." His tone skyrocketed into a scream. "I DON'T WANT TO SEE HIM AGAIN.” He shook violently, glaring at the line of wolves. He had to grow up, be the bigger person. His other set of claws unsheathed. “I know what I have to do, but I am not strong enough to do it. I can’t do it!” Bane drew in a breath, choking on his words. "No…he'll try to murder me again. I don't want to see dad. I wouldn’t stand a chance—even if I did sink my fangs into his throat" He sounded like a scared child. One who couldn't face reality. Something horrible had broke him, and now he had to face it again. "We better stay together. If you break your word again… I can't continue like that. I will be torn again.” He squeezed her. “I can’t lose you again. Now, ‘we’ need to get dad out of here." There wasn't much else Bane would do. He sat there like a slug, too afraid to do anything. He didn't want to let go of Lis. He couldn't lose her again. Oh! The horror. He looked up at the vampire, tilting his head. “W-who are you? H-how do you know so much about— me..” This person frightened him as well.
(Oops, I broke Bane)
(Lol, I'm about to break Lis! So I guess they'll be piecing each other back together.)
Naize jumped back into seriphs arms, yowling and upset
Seriph holds the cat gently, stroking her head. "Hush, little one. . ."
Lis shakes her head. "No. . . we can't prioritize ourselves anymore, over one another. We look out for each other, no matter what."
She takes out a knife and cuts a shallow line in her palm, placing the bleeding hand over her heart. "Make an oath, by soul by blood, by bone by mind, no matter what we may find, I shall never leave your side."
Lis looks back, then summons a spike of bone through the ground. It pierces Cerberus, then drags him screaming from the group. The black cavern yawns closed behind the spike.
Seriph watches, amused, as Cerberus is killed, then turns his gaze back to Bane.
"I'm Seriph Inasoke, the Oligarch." he replies. "And I knew your father. Not well, it would seem, but I knew him."
"You don't have to listen to me all the time…I was just trying to protect you…I shouldn't have hit you…I just…she used to do that any time I acted out..or against her….I wasn't thinking straight…" he spoke slowly, sitting down beside Osiris and laid his head on the hellhounds shoulder. "I know you lost your family….but…after I killed our mother….she was all I had left" one could hear the pain in his voice, admitting that he killed her, even if others saw it as an accident, was hard enough in its own..but without his sister to be someone he has. His sister didn't blame him, their mother never wanted her, but she treated her twin like he was worse than the trash she walked on, that he wasn't worth the time of day.
Osiris looked at the demon, wrapping his hand with bandages slowly. "Thank you. That's more than anyone else had done." He placed a hand on the back of his head. "It still stings, but I'll live. As long as I am by your side. I'll be fine." He stroked Dev's cheek. "I've lost most of my family… ironically enough, my cousin is all I have left now. I understand your pain now, and I don't like it. My cousin doesn't appreciate me or want me. You're the only person who hasn't condemned me." Osiris looked at the ground, his voice lower than usual. "But now you have me, so there's that."

Bane's jaw quivered. He tried his best to slow the tears, but this is the worst he's been. Beyond anything, he was a wreck. He yawned, exhausted by his breakdown. Pulling Lis close to him, he kissed the back of her neck. "How do I know you won't disappear when I wake up? In my dream, you did… it was bad. I didn't like it." He whined softly. The back of his head still pulsed with pain from being knocked out. He had a terrible headache, and if he wasn't leaning on Lis, he might just fall over. He placed a hand over the spot where Seriph's elbow had jabbed him. The spot was sensitive and he winced. "Ow…" Bane whispered, glaring up at the vampire. He then smelt the scent of fresh blood and looked at Lis' palm. Alarm flashed on his face, and after Lis finished her oath, he took her hand to try and make the bleeding stop. Oddly, Bane flinched when he heard the screams of his dad. A look of pain etched its way onto his face, and he started to scream and sob again. He still wanted to please his dad, but now he was dead. But he also wanted him dead, the parts of his mind chewed him apart. Some part of him was glad, but sadness had topped. He looked up at Seriph, teary-eyed, "W-why does it seem like everyone knew my dad…? I-I…I have never…never seen you around…"
Devon sighed and leaned against Osiris, "yeah…I am not exactly a good person…so I don't think I would get rid of the one person willing to be close to me…why do you anyway? I mean… you know what I am and… and why are you ok with it?" he looked at osie confused. He had been asking himself for a while, and for years he didn't think anyone who knew what he was would ever want to be around him.
Osiris shrugged. "I don't judge people too harshly. I like you, you like me. Simple as that. I don't have a lifetime to be picky just because they're a creature from Hell." He laughed. It was deep with amusement hidden behind it. "That would be like discriminating against my cousin because he was a hellhound and he murdered people. The math doesn't work out." He held Dev by the face, staring him in the eyes. "I've been around demons all my life. Plus, I like your kind." He smirked and kissed Devon. What a brave and daring hellhound.
