(Take your time, Sam. There's no rush. I know writing motivation sometimes cannot be located on a map, lol. Don't rush yourself to find that motivation again)
(Thank you for understanding. And sometimes you can't locate it at all, lol. I won't. It usually comes back pretty quickly, so yeah. . .)
"Right—you wouldn't. I could cut your throat open before you try to stab me." Osiris growled in her face. "Your warning is bullshit! Your brother is trusted among our circle, unlike you. He hasn't tried to control me or anyone else here. Do me a favor and scram!" He let go of her throat and stalked off. His anger steamed off him as he recircled and stood by Dev, glaring at June.
"Osiris…" Bane growled weakly. The only thing he could do was lie on the ground with his eyes closed.
Osiris snarled at Bane. "SHUT UP, CUZ! I don't want to hear your input. No one likes you. I'm not as soft as you, and I definitely don't need some bitch to tell me when to calm down. You're so pathetic—I still can't believe you rely on some weird elf you met." He turned his head away, huffing as he did. Osiris leaned on Devon, still trusting him fully.
June laughed at his comment "He did though, he tried to control you when Cerberus or whatever was here trying to kill Bane. Or did you forget. Although I have no idea why you are so attached to him, care to tell?"
Devon leaned against Osiris, feeling tired and drained, he hadn't really rested in who knows how long, and dealing with people, with his sister, definitely drained any energy he had left. In other words, he could just really use a nap, although he was curious to why Osiris trusted him.
Osiris snarled at June, taking Dev into his arms. “I know he did, but it didn’t work well. I was fully aware of what he was trying to do, and I let him! I let him because I wanted to get away from my uncle! It’s the same reason Bane left, but I didn’t get the abusive consequences he did.” He locked eyes with Devon and leaned down to kiss the boy on the forehead. He wanted to spite his sister in the idiocies she was spouting. “I’m attached to him because he needs someone better than you, bitch. He’s cute and very lovely.” The sentence ends with an excited yip. “Now, I don’t want to hear any more comments from the peanut gallery >:(.”
(0^0 DAMNNNNNN)
(that was…so cute)
(how tall is osiris? @Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll )
(He’s 6’3)
Devon stared at Osiris with a slight blush before crossing his arms, "I am not cute" he said with a slight pout turning his face away. He pressed his face against Osiris chest, muttering to himself, embarrassed that his sister was right there.
June rolled her eyes, "yeah well he doesn't know how to use his ability anyway, he never has enough strength to do it. He really is a disappointment"
Osiris snorted, smiling like a maniac. "Yes, you are. You cannot deny that you are, in fact, adorable." He held Dev against him while glaring at June. She was getting on his nerves, and he knew Dev would not retaliate his affection unless she was gone. Osiris got a small vial from his pant pocket and held it up. "He is not as weak as you say he is, dummy. You think you're so high and mighty compared to everyone else. Even my dumb cousin can beat you up, and that is saying something. You see here, June." He spat her name. "You're the real disappointment. Do you know why? Because your brother is ten times better than you. If you keep spouting your bullshit, I'll throw this acid at you." Osiris held an acid, yes, but the acid in the vial wasn't truly acidic to demons—it was just a scare tact.
June sighed, "ok fine. I will leave." she took a piece of paper out of her pocket, scribbled on it and then put it in Devon's pocket. If anyone bothered looking at it it would just seem to be a bunch of random letters. But she knew Devon would understand it. The letters represented numbers, that were the coordinates to the house remains. He might hate it there but it was the only place they could go alone. She stepped back, picking up her weapons she vanished.
Devon sighed, wrapping his arms around Osiris, "I am not cute. That makes me sound like a bottom." he muttered the last part. Once again trying to come off as some big strong guy that he was 100% not.
Osiris hissed. "Yeah! You better leave." and he watched as she vanished away. "She is rotten. No good can come from her. I'd like to see the day she never returns." He held Dev closer to him. "You are cute. Cute doesn't equal bottom. Look! I'm cute. Do I look like a bottom?" He smiled widely, his tail wagging very fast. "Anyway, you look tired. How do you make yourself not tired?" Osiris knew Dev wasn't the strong type. No lust demon was. They didn't operate like that, but he ignored his knowledge to make Dev happy.
Devon rolled his eyes, "you act like a puppy, its adorable." He looked pulled the paper out of his pocket, "how would I make myself not tired?" he asked, staring at the paper like it had his death written on it.
Osiris flexed his claws to rid of the poison on them. He resheathed them. "I am a hellhound, after all. I found people like cute animals, but I didn't have to change my personality! I am always this energetic! Unlike my cousin, I didn't have to grow up fast. He then tilted his head when Dev repeated his question. "Yeah—I don't get tired, soooo I don't know how to get rid of it." He looked down at the note Dev held. "What's that?"
"gods you really are full of energy" he muttered, a small smile forming. He frowned at the question and put the note in his pocket, "she wants to talk to me alone, which I knew, but if I go she won't hurt me…being there would be painful enough" he muttered the end.
"When is a hellhound never full of energy?? We have to guard and drag the souls of the dead!" Osiris giggled at his own excitement and stared at Dev's dazzling smile. "You should smile more often! It's super cute." He adjusted Dev's head, so he would look at him. "Please don't leave me to talk to your sister." Osiris frowned. "I don't want you near her. She is too mean and dumb."
Devon looked away "she is not that bad…she just…you don't understand her" He said awkwardly. He knew the group hated June, but he didn't…he couldn't. Not after what he did all those years ago…even if June didn't resent him for it, she should, so he had no room to hate her.
Osiris was surprised Dev was defending his sister. To Osiris, she was nothing but trouble, but maybe he could give her a chance. As stubborn as he was, he wasn't as bad as his cousin. "How? How is she not that when in the few times of seeing her, the surrounding group has jumped her?" He tilted his head. "How do I understand someone when my basic understanding of them is that they hurt you? It's not like you're worse than her." Osiris took one of Dev's hands into his.
Naize curled to luna, tucking under her chest and her head under lunas. She purred loudly
Devon scoffed and pulled his hand away, "Just because I don't hurt people as much, does not mean I am better than her. I have done worse things than she has." he looked away sadly, "I will be fine…besides…i have to go…"
Osiris tail drooped and he frowned. His eyes had melancholy in them. He put his hand over his heart, holding it with his other, and rubbed it. "I don't care if you've done worse things. I like you better." Osiris started to whimper. "Please—I don't want you to go. I don't want to be left behind." He now has separation anxiety towards Devon like any dog. "You promise me you'll be fine.."
(Summary?)
(I'm back!)
(Basic summary: Osiris has grown attached to Dev and has managed to drive June off. Now Dev is going to meet with his sister and Osiris doesn't want Dev to leave him behind. Also, welcome back!)
Devon sighed, "I can't take you with me…there are like wards or something…I will be ok…I won't be gone long…and…maybe I can take you close to it..so you will be able to see me still…if you want?"
(Bane's still on the ground, where Lis placed him?)
Osiris had pleading eyes. "Can you?!" If he could, he would jump up and down, but the puppy is trying to have some human composure. It's like when you can't take your dog out into public. Osiris had imprinted on Dev, but these are the consequences. "I'd like that, but you used that pesky word maybe…so that means it's a debatable yes or no."
(Yep. Bane should still be where he is)
"I would have to drop you off, walk you to the edge of the wards, then travel to her alone, she can't know…I can't do that without energy." he sighed.
(How fun! Let's get the show back on the road, shall we? Let's just say Lis had to leave for a bit to avoid doing anything she'd regret.)
Lis comes back after June leaves, sighing and picking up Bane again.
"Sorry. . ." she whispers. "I didn't mean to leave you here. . ."
