Bane laughed. “Turning him into confetti might be a little hard. You saw his fighting style.” He furrowed his brown when Lis said some the blood was his dads. “What did he do? Bleed all over you.” He started to laugh some more as he watched Lis heal the bleeding wounds. When he saw her pass out, he breathed an ‘oh no’ sigh and picked her up. Bane walked back to the rest of the now expanding group with Lis in his arms. Memories of when she last passed out flooded him, and he reddened a bit. “Hi everyone..”
Naize purred but gave a stern look you scared me
Lis doesn't respond until after she comes to, and she's the bright, bubbly, very unusual version of herself again.
"Silly, didn't you see the crater we were just in?" she giggles.
"Oh yes! Yes he did! He screams wonderfully when he's in pain." she laughs.
Luna boops Naize's nose with her injured hand and laughs.
"Sorry, little bobcat." she says.
Naize noticed her hand, shifting back without a care that she was in the woman's lap “ your hurt!”
Luna looks down in confusion at her hand, then shrugs.
"I forgot about that. Happened when I grabbed June's knife." she says.
Naize huffed “ let me see” she said softly. Using some kind of magic to help
Bane sat down and sat Lis up. “That is a silly thing to say about my dad. His screams are laughs. There’s nothing screamy about them.” Bane giggled. “Yes, yes Lis, I did see the crater, but dad is smart. He can calculate things well. He might not be as easy to beat as you think.” He watched her carefully. He was prepared for her to become all flirty again. It didn’t scare him, but it did leave an imprint in his memory.
Juna tilts her head, examining the burn. It looks just as black as before.
"Was that supposed to do something?" she asks quietly.
Lis tilts her head, not understanding at that point in time due to the state she's in. "Huh-?"
She laughs. "I can make bigger booms too! Just use the power I'd used in all those smaller blasts in one big blast and he'd get blown skyhigh! But there'd also be a crater the size of Mt. Everest left behind."
“ just takes the burning out,” she said softly. Naize wrapped luna in a hug
Luna shrugs. "It didn't hurt after a few seconds anyways."
She squeaks when Naize hugs her.
Naize let off a soft purr “ are you sure your alright?”
Luna shrugs again.
"Yeah, I'm sure." she replies.
“ so, what was that earlier, your powers?”
Bane pat Lis on the back and laughed. “Pease don't blow any more craters in the Earth. Let's not blow up my dad either. He may be a horrible person and want me dead—and beat me—and isolated me—and called me an outcast for not looking right—but I wouldn’t wish that upon someone.” Bane paused. “Maybe we could just tie him up and throw him into the woods. That’s better.” Bane hated his dad, but he couldn't do it again. He couldn't fight him again. The feeling of getting his throat ripped apart. The feeling of his chest caving in. It was awful. Bane felt at his neck, still feeling the tingling pain.
Lis tilts her head. "Why-?"
But she passes out again, then comes to, again with no memory of what happened while she was passed out. "Fill me in, please."
Luna shrugs. "Yeah. My powers."
Bane caught Lis before she hit the ground. When she came to, he lifted her back into a sitting position. "You were talking about how you were going to blow my dad into pieces by making large craters in the Earth. I think you said as big as Mount Everest." Bane paused to catch his breath. "I told you not to, despite all the things he has done to me. I can't stand facing him anymore—not after." He held his chest, feeling the imaginary pain. "After all he did to me just now. And he knows about you. He'll use you to torture me. My dad is a very smart man, Lis. Please don't underestimate him." Bane looked like he was on the verge of tears. Thoughts of his dad made him angry. The imaginary pain grew worse. "But—you weren't flirty or anything…"
Lis looks surprised. "Well, I can do bigger, but I figured that would good enough."
She tilts. "Why shouldn't i?"
"I wasn't?" she asks.
Baize yawned, tired from using all her magic at once. She leaned heavily against Luna
"I told you why, Lis. I can't face him—I can't do it anymore. I'm a coward, Lis! Yes, I am a coward, but I can't stand any more pain or blood loss. I can do it anymore." Bane shook his head as tears started dripping down his face. "I can't watch as my dad uses you as a weapon against me! I can't watch if he uses any of you was a weapon against me." The tears start coming faster. He held his chest. "I don't want you to get hurt…and no—you weren't" He took in a deep breath. "You were just adamant on killing my dad…"
"He won't get a chance to use me as a weapon, because he'll be dead." Lis counters.
She catches one of the tears, studies it, then lets it fall. She leans in and kisses Bane, then pulls away. "'Coward' doesn't - can't - apply to you, Bane Malice."
Bane wiped his eyes, red from the kiss. Having someone be so affectionate towards him was still new. It was nice, but overwhelming. "But aren't I a coward for not wanting to kill my dad?" He sniffled, leaning on Lis. "So it can apply to me, but I like that you think it can't." He giggled, thinking about how sweet Lis was towards him—except when the beast inside emerged.
Naize slowly fell asleep “I’m so sorry…”
"No, that's just human, Bane." Lis murmurs. "So no, it can't apply."
Luna chuckles. "For what?"
“ for you getting dragged into this..”
Luna chuckles. "I chose this house because I'd heard of you. That the only reason why I'm here."
Bane hung his head low. "But I am not human. I shouldn't have human nature—I say this, and then I'm capable of love." He smiled and laughed. "You're the first person to give me affection. Tell me that I am not a coward—actually believed in me. It's nice to not be told you're worthless every day." He looked up at Lis. "Thank you—thank you for treating me like a person. Now that you know my past—with my father." He paused. "I can't bare for you to know all that. It's sad. But thank you."
Lis puts one finger under Bane's chin, making him look back up at her.
"It doesn't matter if you're not human. It is the domain of all creatures, love is." she murmurs.
"Of course I believe in you. Why shouldn't I?" she asks.
"You don't-" she breaks off with a low chuckle and a sigh. "You're welcome."
She turns her face away for a moment, then places one hand on Bane's temple. "I can give you my past. I know yours, after all."
Bane gave her a smile. He couldn't help but kiss her. He's never done that before, but Lis' examples were enough for him to learn. "Dad didn't believe in me, no one believed in me— I just assumed you'd be the same. But then again, I thought you would hate me—and call me a monster. But you didn't. So I'm glad." He watched Lis reached out and put her hand on his temple. He shied away because this was what dad made a demon do to erase his memory. "What are you doing…your memories?"
Naize had fallen asleep on luna, still purring off and on
Lis jumps when bane initaites the kiss, then laughs softly when he pulls away. "Well, looks like you're getting the hang of this."
"I know how it feels to be hated- to be called a monster." she murmurs. "I would never do that to you."
"Yes. Memories. . .' she says, voice trailing off. She looks at Bane, and slowly removes her hand from his temple. "Do- do you not want them?"
