Naize let the feather fall, looking to bane with worry
Bane sat down in a chair, putting his jacket around his shoulders. He picked up Naize and the feather. He relaxed himself, petting the bobcat. "We all make mistakes, Naize. I hope everything will be okay. For the mean time, we can chill in here unless you want to go outside. Do you like to climb trees? Is that something cats even do?"
Naize made a puff kinda sound but laid her head in his lap
(im out for today)
Bane pet Naize, trying to keep his stress levels low. He waited impatiently to see if Lis cleared things with Dev or if things took a turn for the worse. He used to feather to tickle Naize’s nose. His tail had manifested due to all the stress. He didn’t like how the chair didn’t have slots to put it through. Regardless, he kept sitting so Naize didn’t have to stand around. He tugged at his neckless, one of the indications that he was stressed.
Naize noticed, gently needing at his leg. She could feel his stress and wanted to help.
Lis comes back after some time and sits down heavily. "I couldn't find him."
Her hands are fidgeting with some loose threads on her jeans. She's avoiding looking at Bane.
Bane turned himself in the chair, freeing his tail from being smooshed. He started to wag his tail in short little motions. He petted Naize, taking the time to feel how soft her fur was. “You know Naize, Lis and I have gotten a bit close. Do you think that’s going to split us up?” He started to fidget more. He didn’t want to disrupt Naize, but he couldn’t stop. “I don’t know what to do.” The Hellhound shook his head. He looked sickly.
Bane lifted his head at the sound of Liz walking into the restaurant. “Oh no— I feel really bad now :(.” Bane started to whimper.
Lis looks up. "Don't. It was my fault. I should've had more tact."
Bane grabbed Naize and held her closer to him. Naize was now basically his teddy bear, and Bane was the little child. He still had a sickly look to him as if he was about to throw up. The feeling of guilt was making him sick. Even though it wasn't his fault, he still felt like he had a part to play. Bane closed his eyes to ground himself, hugging the cat. “Don’t tear yourself up. It was just a misunderstanding of words.”
Naize purred, her tail swooshing as she looked to lis.
Bane smiled through his sickness at Naize's purr. It was like a jet engine on his chest, and it made him giggled a little. "Chaton mignon," He scratched Naize under the chin. "Tu aimes les plumes, n'est-ce pas ?" He waved the feather around the air, shaking off the stares he received from other people. "Récréation avec mon ami minou!" He didn't know if Naize could understand French, but he didn't care. He was just trying to make the sickness go away.
Naize pawed at the feather, her tail going wild as she tried to play
Bane started to laugh while playing with Naize, it made him feel better. He kept dancing the feather around in the air. He threw the father in the air, his tail wagging happily. Bane's face lit up while watching Naize paw at the feather in the air. He had a long day and started to drift to sleep. Being here on earth for so long had given him a circadian rhythm. He was no longer able to stay up all hours of night and day. He yawned, "Get that feather Naize!" Watching the feather drift slowly to the ground made his super drowsy.
Naize waited for bane to go before grabbing the feather, laying back down and yawning herself
Lis looks tired and sad. "If you say so. . ."
She watches Naize and Bane play.
Bane got up from where he sat. Given, if a big wolf boy came walking towards you swaying because he was sleepy, you’d be scared or say awwww. He walked over to Lis and gave them a hug, sensing she was sad. His eyes were closing on him, consciousness was hard to come by. He fell asleep hugging Lis unintentionally. This wolf-boy was tired.
Lis suppresses a yelp when Bane comes over and hugs her, then hugs him back. When he falls asleep, she steadies herself as much as possible.
Bane's tail wagged in his sleep. After 20 minutes of being asleep, he woke all drowsy. He can't comprehend he fell asleep in the restaurant. "Hello," He says groggily. He opened his eyes, looking at Lis. "Lis!" He stood straight up. "Sorry, didn't mean to fall asleep on you like that. I'm just worn from today. It's been very—eventful." He stifled another yawn while rubbing the back of his neck.
Lis chuckles. "It's fine."
"Let's get you home, big boy." she says, standing up and lifting Bane easily.
Bane reached out at the air, swatting at nothing. "I think I'm fine. I can function just fine!" He huffed. Bane was the equivalent to a drunk person at 2 in the morning. "I-I can- I can walk perfectly fine." His head was swaying back and forth from drowsiness. He would probably fall on his face if Lis wasn't holding on to him. It's like he took a bunch of NyQuil.
Lis sighs. "No, you can't."
She grabs Naize and heads back home. She decides to do the quick route: short-range teleportation. By the time she reaches the bedroom, she falls onto the bed, falling asleep with Bane there with her.
Bane poofed into his wolf form. He generated a lot of heat, and I mean a lot. In his sleep, he kicked his legs and wagged his tail. He made a lot of strange dog sounds. He turned on his back, turned on his side, and cuddled up to Lis. Normal doggie things. When he's not in his wolf form, he's not as bad as a sleeper.
In the morning, Lis wakes up, too warm, but there's also something very soft there, so she doesn't want to move.
Naize curled up next to the bed, not wanting to be alone in the dark again
Bane lifted his head and yawned. He looked at the person beside him and yelped. He tumbled onto the ground, popping his head up. He’s changed back to his humanoid form, groaning from the pain that is falling off the bed.
Lis yelps as well. "Jesus - !"
She gets off the bed quickly, kneeling next to Bane. "Are you okay?"
Bane shook his head to wake himself up. “I’m fine. That was just— surprising to say the least. I should have listened when dad said to expect the unexpected, though I don't think he was talking about a moment such as this.” He stood up and stretched to relieve some of the pain that came from falling off the bed.
Lis chuckles. "I don't even remember coming back here."
"My mother always used to say the same thing as well, you know." she adds.
Naize woke solemnly and walked over to them
