Phoenix had been using the backstreets to get back to headquarters. Crystalline on the other hand was going straight for the two villains.

Sorrow sent tendrils of their ability snaking towards the hero, their eyes narrowed.

Crystalline was only slightly affected and instead pulled out a clear crystal. He then released a torrent of air towards the two. His abilities allowed him to store element energy into crystals and then release it as he saw fit.

Sorrow ducked behind a dumpster to avoid the gust, and Shroud flickered from view.

Crystalline proceeded to send a tremor through the Earth to locate Shroud before going after Sorrow.

Shroud was moving a bit erratically, likely because he knew Crystalline would be able to locate him easily.

Crystalline huffed as he stopped tracking Shroud due to his erratic movement solely focusing on Sorrow.

Sorrow was still behind the dumpster, seemingly waiting for him.

Crystalline crept around the dumpster and released another torrent of wind from his crystal.

Sorrow was pushed back, and sent energy racing towards Cystalline.

Crystalline bent over for a moment, but switched out the crystal and sent a wave of fire towards Sorrow in return for the grief.

Sorrow yelped, scrambling away before they could be burned.

Crystalline chased after keeping both a red fire crystal and light blue ice crystal on him. He threw the ice crystal onto the ground directing it towards Sorrow.

Sorrow yelped as ice shot towards their feet, scrambling away.

Crystalline used the ice and wind crystal to propel him towards Sorrow. At this point he shouted out, "You're not getting away this time!"

Sorrow stuck their tongue out, sending more of their power towards Crystalline.

Crystalline slid for a moment while he let the sorrow wash over him. He couldn't focus on pursuing the villain at that moment.

Sorrow began to make their escape, still sending their abilities towards Crystalline.

Crystalline gritted his teeth as he continued his chase after Sorrow. Phoenix on the other hand had finally made it back to headquarters and her office.

Sorrow countinued to run, letting their abilities swallow Crystalline whole.

Crystalline stopped and fell to his knees crying. He couldn't continue on like this.

(There should be some like big plan by either the villains or the less than favorable heroes.)

(yeah definitely. Uhhhh idk what tho)

Sorrow made their escape as fast as they could.

(We could just have it be some big looming threat in the background and work out the finer details later. Either way it could be something that causes one of us to turn our backs on either the heroes or the villains.)

Crystalline cursed as he watched Sorrow get away. Kore was resting back in her office still in full uniform.

Shroud had made his escape already; he didn't particularly care if Sorrow escaped or not. The villain was notorious for slipping out of jail quite easily.

Kore left the headquarters after checking that no one was watching. She began to hobble her way back to campus in full civilian gear.

Shroud, still invisible, headed back to campus. He had nowhere else to change. So he slipped over to the window, which he had left unlocked, and opened it, climbing inside his dorm room.

Kore had finally made her way into her dorm room when she heard someone entering her suitemate's room. She didn't recall seeing them in the hall, so she began to make her way over to investigate.

Shroud began to change, going as quickly as possible. Just in case.

Kore hesitated for a moment before knocking on her suitemate's bathroom door as she called out, "Umm, hello? Is everything okay?"

"Yeah! I'm fine!" Adrian called back, voice slightly strained as he hurried to change.
