Kore still wasn't convinced and… That voice sounded slightly familiar. She waited a minute, "Umm, would you mind if I come in? I'm not really convinced you're okay."
Kore still wasn't convinced and… That voice sounded slightly familiar. She waited a minute, "Umm, would you mind if I come in? I'm not really convinced you're okay."
"Just, ah…just a minute!" He called back, hurriedly stuffing the suit under his bed.
"Okay, um let me know when I can come in," Kore returned. She got comfortable in her crutches letting her arms take most of her weight.
He adjusted his shirt, double-checking he had removed everything and that the suit was out of sight, then opened the door. "Hey."
"Oh, hi," Kore wasn't expecting Adrian to be her suitemate. That was, interesting, "So, uh, you're clearly okay."
"Yeah, I'm, uh, fine." he said, tugging on the cuffs of his shirt.
"Good, good," Kore shifted her weight from crutch to crutch, "So, um, I'll just head back to my room then. Uh, bye."
Adrian nodded. "Right. Uhm. Bye." he waved faintly.
"Bye," Kore nodded and took a second to turn around in the bathroom and began to hobble her way back to her own room.
Adrian closed the door, letting out a faint breath.
Kore let out a long sigh once the door was closed. She continued moving back to her room and ended up resting on her bed.
He sat down on the bed, shaking his head a little.
Kore pulled out one of her notebooks and began to work on homework. The nights earlier failures still fresh in her mind.
Adrian didn't quite know what to do now.
Kore hadn't known Adrian was her suitemate. That, that made her life both easier and more difficult.
He sighed, flopping down on the bed and then letting out a pained grunt.
Kore lifted the feather on her necklace off her chest and stared at it. It was now a dull red tone indicating the lack of energy it had. She whispered quietly to it, "I'm sorry. We're taking a break so you can recover okay?"
The feather made no movement though it did glow ever so slightly at the words.
He picked up a book and started to read.
(Skip now or you got something you wanna do?)
(i got nothing lol)
(Lol, I'll start… Any idea as to when?)
(uhhhhhhhhhhhhh no, sorry)
(That's cool. I'll figure something out.)
(alright lol)
Kore was hobbling her way to meet with Adrian in the library. Some kids had decided to steal her crutches while she was in the bathroom and it had taken her a while to get them back. So far her day was shit, and it didn't help that another kid decided to trip her right then and she ended up falling forward catching herself and scraping her hands in the process. She could hear the snickering of kids as she pushed herself up.
Adrian was already waiting in the library, a notebook open in front of him and a few books sitting on the table as well. He was quiet, taking down a few notes as he waited.
Kore let out a long breath as she got up and readjusted her crutches before continuing her way to the library. She figured she would put her bag down and then go take care of her hands. As she entered she spotted Adrian and made her way towards him, "Um, hey."
Adrian waved. "Hey." He greeted.
"I, uh, need to use the bathroom real quick," Kore said after getting his greeting and dropping her backpack off. She was being careful not to let her hands show or have them overly touch anything, "I'll be right back."
"Alright." He replied, going back to doodling and writing notes.
