Name: Lyn Ramirez
Age: 17
Gender: female
Sexuality: ace, biromantic
Appearance: dark hair w/ bangs and undercut that goes down to her shoulder blades, big hazel eyes, light olive skin, round face, pear shaped body. She has a large birthmark on her left shoulder blade. 5’4. She wears a dark purple hoodie with the words NOT TODAY, SATAN on the front, and light colored jeans with multiple pockets. Sometimes this will be mixed and matched with a light blue shirt and black shorts.
Personality: generally pretty quiet, but can get louder and more talkative when she’s with people she knows, or when she’s excited, angry, or talking about smth she’s passionate about. As implied, she is pretty emotional, either crying a lot or never shedding a tear. Hiding behind that emotion is a fair bit of intelligence and analytical skills, and gets into a sort of detective mode when needed. She’s both a perfectionist and terrible self advocate, so she has a very high standard for herself and hates to admit when she’s struggling. Combined with her empathic nature and low self esteem, at best she gives good advice and is utterly compassionate and loyal, at worst she has a martyr complex.
Likes: listening to Japanese rap, doodling and writing, having Sef to talk to
Dislikes: anxiety attacks, liars, being emotional
Backround: Her mother died giving birth to her, and her father taught her how to use her fists, and also to be resourceful and independent. But as time went on, her father mental health began to decline, and when she was about 11 years old, he committed suicide. Lyn met Josefine about 6 months before this happened. Sef let her live at her house for a good while, but then Sef’s foster family was wiped out by Screamers. Somehow they managed to run and escape and since then they’ve been traveling around together.
Name: Josefine Azevedo
Age: 17
Gender: cis female
Sexuality: straight
Appearance: 5’7 with an hourglass figure, deep brown skin. Bleached dreadlocks swept to one side, showing the shaved half of her head. Dark, twinkling eyes and thick, expressive eyebrows. Full lips with dimples and a wide nose, and a heart-shaped face. Wears an oversized white tee with the words Bom Dia in colorful, bubbly lettering and black jeans, or a cropped black top with rose red sweatpants and a grey army jacket
Personality: very energetic and extroverted, as well as argumentative. She wants to get to the ideas behind things, and usually does that through conversation- or debate. Has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. She has a lot of self confidence, though sometimes it’s largely a fake it till you make it kind of thing. Despite how she may sometimes appear, she is pretty jaded and disillusioned. She loves learning, and was actually a bit of a nerd at one point. The thing is that she’s a hands on learner, and school hasn’t really provided that for her, so she’s known for her bad grades. Or at least, used to be. Has a bit of a chaotic impulse streak and will do things just for the heck of it.
Likes: singing, skateboarding, arguing debating, bossa nova from the sixties
Dislikes: cold weather, listening to stupid people, people telling her what to do
Backround: Moved from Brazil when she was around 6, 7 years old, so she speaks with a Portuguese accent. Lived in the US with her two brothers and her mother for about a year and a half before being separated from them due to neglect and her brother’s drug abuse. Moved between foster homes twice before meeting her first American friend, Lyn, and Sef automatically adopted her. Her foster parents were okay, they were trying their best, but Sef never felt close with them. When they died, it was at least not as bad as it would have been. She was kind of thinking about running away anyway, so this was a good opportunity. She and Lyn grabbed what they could and ran away together.
