Honestly, Paris was beginning to be very confused about how he felt towards Thorne. Sure, they were friends, and he tended to get along with him better than most other people, but… the flirting, or what he made to be flirting, was definitely muddling his mind. He was sure it was just a joke at first, but now he found his heart skipping a beat when Thorne complimented him in particular, or generally made targeted positive comments towards him. Just little things that made him feel… appreciated, he supposed. It was odd. He wasn't used to being appreciated, and knowing that someone was paying special attention to him, even as a joke, made him feel a little better about himself.
"Well, yeah. Obviously." He remarked, snapping himself out of his thoughts. "But, you know… we are still trying to make some money. Some of us have to support ourselves, yeah? And I don't always have the energy to do multiple jobs. Gets a bit sketchy with the old schedule."
