I used to be friends with this girl (she's a TERF and I cut ties as soon as I found out) and she was extremely pro-life but I live in Idaho for God's sake so I didn't think much of it. So we were staying the night with another girl (she's chill I guess) and we were talking about it and I told her that I was pro-choice and then she told me to listen to a bunch of songs that were anti-abortion and I just turned off the songs and said "I'm going to bed." and left her room to go sleep on the couch.
MJ I love how you don't hesitate to cut people out of your life. It's very refreshing
Why waste time with toxic people?
If they can't respect me and what I believe in then they don't deserve to be in my presence :))
I've felt sick all day and I have no idea why, I hate thisssss

Not to say that the person you cut out did respect you, but you can respect a person and what they believe in without supporting that thing. I am pro-life no I'm not gonna let this be an argument anyone Em is right but that doesn't mean I don't have respect for the prochoicers. I have a lot of respect for them, as well as other things I may not be in support of.
Like when I said I support pro lifers, I mean Dom. I can see Dom advocating for children's rights, but I will not be taking his opinion into account when it comes to abortion. He is a good example of a respectful pro lifer who I can have a conversation with

I don't necessarily respect the pro-life side of things, but I do understand where they come from. The person I cut out of my life was constantly telling me to change my views and when she insulted my gender identity, that was the last straw and she's now gone from my life. I can uphold a conversation with people like you, Dom, as long as you don't attack my own beliefs. If you don't attack my beliefs, I won't attack yours.
i saw one thing, and it was a pro-choice guy who said that he presents a scenario to every pro-lifer that says that embryos are still children:
you are in a building that is on fire, and you come across a room that has a child and a fridge with 1,000 embryos. you only have time to save one. do you A: save the child or B: save the embryos that could become children
he said that they either insist on an invisible option C, which is save them both (despite not having the time, as stated), or don't want to answer
while we're on women's autonomy, i'd like to be rude to medical professionals who deny choice. If I want my uterus ejected its my choice, not "my future husband" or parent's cause "what if they want grandkids?"
no.
If they want kids they can go and have them.
YEAH that would be one of my "I hate this shit" if I were to keep going Kat that is totally like thanks pro lifers for supporting my healthcare 💅
I wish I didn't need a diagnosed medical issue to get it done, can u imagine? no more cramps ever again, no buying hundreds of dollars of "luxury" feminine items or pills, no worries (completely fail-safe) about accidental parasites…
or here's an idea we do the reversible cheaper thing and give all men vasectomies. yeah i got that from tiktok but it makes sense
also kat congrats on your graduation :D
The Dear Evan Hansen movie trailer just dropped and I have some thoughts
Also this will be spoiler-free so don't worry
Stop having grown adults play teenagers. Just stop. The other actors at least looked kinda younger, but Ben Platt looked like a grown-ass man, because he is. Honestly, I feel like its really important to the story that teenagers are the one's playing the teenage characters. Its like the modern-day equivalent of the Hunger Games. They're not killing each other, but they are going through some very intense, very real things, and it think it was important that the correct age range was represented on the screen. But then again, I heard Ben Platt's father is the producer, so is anyone really surprised?
I was originally upset about the fact that they were making it into a movie at all (there have just been so many bad and unnecessary live-action adaptations lately, and I think I was lumping it in with that), but then I thought about it and I'm not mad about it. Broadway is already super inaccessible, so this makes it so more people are able to see the show. Plus, there was a fragment of a scene with Zoe in a car that couldn't have happened with any other medium. I'll be mad if they take out too many songs, but 14 is a lot for a movie-musical.
It will be weird to go from an 8 person cast to an entire movie cast, but I don't think it'll be too bad
I can't stand DEH so I'm not gonna comment on the trailer but yeah
Listen I'm sure there's good music and all but both Great Comet and Bandstand are far superior shows and the fact that DEH swept that year when it's so mediocre…popularity contest :/

I'm gonna spoiler-tag this just in case but like

I have horrible period cramps, they usually last for most of the week and they cause insane lower back pain too. It's super hard for me to even function when I'm on my period even with painkillers and I can't just solve all of my problems by popping Tylenol, especially since I usually have to take it a few times a week due to headaches. I'm asexual, I have no interest in having children, and childbirth/pregnancy scares and disgusts me. I know that my poor mental health is due to genetics on both sides of my family and I don't want to inflict the struggles I have onto a child. I don't see myself being capable of raising a child either, although that might change once I'm an adult and possibly with a partner. I'm not good with loud noises, unpredictability, intense stress, etc., all things that young children bring. If I suddenly have the desire to raise a child, I'll adopt or foster since there's already so many children out there who don't have stable homes. And so I fucking hate hearing the "but why do you want to get that surgery?? what if you meet the right person and want to have kids??" Yeah, I don't think I should be allowed to get it at 17 but once I'm, like, an adult who can afford it, goodbye uterus!

Imo it's super important to realize that most people want the same things and are trying to be good people and have different thoughts to get there. So important to respect that.

heck yeah. Same for me,

I get back pain enough to not be able to move well and its a 50/50 if I get majorly fatigued and depressed (both on separate coin flips, months where I get both are fun). One of my 2 major anxieties is health anxiety, so I can't imagine ever being pregnant and it going well. esp. when medical-grade antiseptic and needles freak me out to the point of heart flips. My mom asked once "what about your future partner? when you meet the right person…" at which my point is if they're my right person, they'll understand and know that it is not an option for me.
Yes, exactly!!
If someone is "the right person" for me, they'll be someone who knows that I don't want to be pregnant and accepts that. If they don't accept that, then they aren't the right person for me.

Yeah you're so right. Too br fair iirc my godfather had to get his wife's consent to do a vasectomy but I think anyone who can pay should be allowed to do that w/o partner consent. Granted you should probs talk to your partner but if it's your body that you wanna unfertilize then that choice should be a one person one.
Stop having grown adults play teenagers.
Especially if a big reason why you're casting adults is to have the teenage characters do sexual stuff that a real teen wouldn't be allowed to do
I don't think that's what DEH will do but some shows/movies do and ew
Imagine coming home from work at 2am, knowing that you’re not going to sleep until 6am, and having to be up at 7am to take your siblings to school. I really don’t have the energy for this anymore

Big yes.
Which leads to teens feeling the need to be sexual in order to be grown up enough instead of realizing it okay to not have sex until later in life.
I came out to my coworker today?? And it went really well?? We'd already been talking about like, politics and the LGBTQ community and stuff so I knew he was fine with it but I was still pretty nervous about, but yeah. It went well. He says that it sucks that I can't come out to my family and he doesn't understand why conservatives are like that. I just,,,, I really like him (platonically) bc he's pretty awesome lmao and I'm just glad it went well haha
that's really good ice!!! am proud!
on a different subject
mmmmm not my mom calling arabs/muslims "towel-heads" :))))))
not me calling your mom dandruff head
thats a JOKE
