See now that was my mentality until I set up a monthly savings account. The account requires for you to put something in it each month and you can’t withdraw the money because you will lose the interest on it; I've had the account open since May 2020 and I already have £2,550 (approx. $3,510). In my other savings account I have a little over £5.3K (approx. $7,307). After putting money into my monthly account, then paying bills, I usually have around £200—£300 (approx. $275—$412) left for me to do whatever the hell I want with but I have to keep in mind that the more I spend at a certain time, the less I will have after the next time I pay bills.
