“True. But if you've lived here long enough, then you would know it pretty well too.” she quipped, smiling at Raven.
“True. But if you've lived here long enough, then you would know it pretty well too.” she quipped, smiling at Raven.
She laughed a little. "Ah, true."
“So, I’m assuming that you have been here that long then.” she commented with a slightly raised brow.
"Well, like I said, three years. I know my way around but I'm sure there are things that I have yet to learn aobut the city."
“Oh, right. You did mention that.” she blushed. “Sorry.”
She laughed a little. "Mhm. It's fine."
“Ok. Whoa! Watch out!” she warned suddenly as a motorcycle roared out in front of them at the crosswalk. “Jerk! It was red!” she yelled after the reckless driver.
Raven glared after the driver, shaking her head. "What an asshole."
“They don't deserve that bike.” she said, nodding in agreement with the other girl.
She nodded a little bit. "Exactly."
“It’s morons like that who give bike lovers a bad name.” she grumbled, thinking about her own bike and how she was always responsible when she drove.
"I don't use a bike, but I get what you mean."
“Oh, right. Sorry.” she apologized, blushing a little. “I… I get a little defensive of my bike when I see someone else treating theirs like that.”
She laughed a little. "Mm, it's fine."
“Thanks. For a stranger, you're very understanding.” she commented. Though there was something almost familiar about Raven… She just couldn't put her finger on it. “And easy to talk to.”
She inclined her head. "I do my best."
Jade smiled a little and nodded. “It’s all anyone can do.” she commented with a brief shrug.
She laughed a little. "True."
Jade smiled a little at her as she continued walking towards her apartment building.
She closed her eyes for a moment, quiet.
“We’re almost there. It's just on the next block.” she informed her. “I… I really appreciate you going this far out of your way.”
She nodded a little. "Yeah, no problem."
“Not to give the wrong impression or anything but, do you want to come up with me?” she asked. “It’s ok if you don't. I think I can manage getting these inside if you don't want to.”
"I don't mind." She replied, smiling softly.
Jade smiled kindly back. “Ok.”
She was quiet as they continued walking, looking around.
Jade didn't have much else to say at the moment, but there was still something nagging her about Raven. Like she knew her from somewhere.
She tipped her head from side to side, popping her neck.
She raised a brow slightly at the action. Even that looked familiar… It wasn't that uncommon of a movement but the way she did it. “I’m sorry if this seems like an unusual question but… Do I know you from somewhere?”
Raven blinked at her. "I don't think so? I don't know." She replied, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
