farm cats around here get eaten too, coyotes, hawks, the occasional very mean raccoon or bobcat. Even small dogs have to be wary, my teacher had to save her teacup doggo from a hawk via shoe projectiles

Yeah, we can't have cats out at my house either, they either run away or get eaten. One time I went outside and found one of our new kittens with its leg ripped off.
