She started fiddling with the daisies in her knuckles, avoiding eye contact. Alister grinned incredulously. “Aww El, you never talked about me with these guys?”
“Well I… I didn’t want to!” She retorted. Then her voice lowered. “I wanted to keep all that to myself. It would’ve been painful to talk about.”
“Sorry, sorry, I was just messing with you,” he threw a hand up, pulling her shoulders close with the other. “Sorry.” He let the word slip out again.
“It’s alright,” she shrugged.
I thought you were supposed to say ‘I forgive you.’ He was about to articulate that thought, but Talon spoke first.
“Hold up, hold up. Painful? And why is he here only now?” He looked between them, putting his left hand into his pocket.
She looked at the floor, still fiddling. “We got separated. We finally found each other during the prison invasion. That’s all you need to know.”
Trent huffed a bit frustrated. "Well whatever it is I have something he does not need to see or know so if he could leave the room for a little bit so I could talk about it?" He asked, crossing his arms a bit.
Alister had been with the lab and there's no tring if he still had ties to them.
He didn't trust him
it felt familiar to her, like she had seen it a million times, she probably had. She watched as her step dad approached her, her little kid self. He had just requested something of her, she knew exactly what he said scowling at him. She responded to him with, "I'd rather die!" he approached her slowly and scowl and glare morphed onto his face as he started at her like he would the scum of the earth. "Then why don't you." Had been his response, she looked at herself backing up into a corner as far as she could. she knew it wouldn't help, this sick pig still approached her. Kneeling down to be face to her terrified face, Just watching he event happen filled her with fear as if she were in the spot and it was happening again..She tried to vanish into the shadows but her step dad reached into the black shadows and pulled her out and standing up off the ground. He slapped her across the face, tears springing her eyes. He said something incohearnt before placing hands firmly around her neck and starting to squeeze. she clawed at his hands trying to break free from them. Spots dotted her vision she was running out of air fast. Then she heard her mom, "Mom…." she whispered reaching a hand out and her step dad dropped her, she banged her head on a table edge, holding her bleeding forehead her step dad left the room with a warning. "Dont tell your mom or else." she woke from the vision with a jolt.
Malachi had his arms around her the moment he saw she was shaking. The memory of the last time this had happened floated into his brain, and he remembered he couldn’t really do anything to snap her out of it. He stayed beside her as she saw things only she could, whispering and shaking. The dream-like song came to an end, and Malachi turned to see the creature fast asleep.
Something else floated into memory, and so he took up the singing himself. His voice was smooth and low, and though the tune was sometimes softly off-key, he just pretended his grandmother was singing with him too.
”Je me souviens quand j'étais jeune,
“Les choses étaient lumineuses et belles.”
“Les yeux recouverts d'une lentille rose,
“Je pensais que ça durerait pour toujours.”
“Je t'en prie, tu resterais?”
“Si ce n'est pas à côté de moi,
“Alors à l'intérieur de moi?“
“Garde-moi entière…”
“Pendant que la rose tombe de mes yeux.”
He looked down at her as she woke, concerned.

(Oooooooooo-)
Alister looked at Trenton, a little confused by his sharp tone. He understood his need for privacy, he’d asked Noel for it just a few hours ago. And considering all of the boys had come back from being arrested (now that he knew their names, remembered hearing them over the intercom in the prison, but they were separated to different areas, so Evan was the only one he saw), they would obviously have things to talk about.
Still, it felt exclusive.
He stood. “Alright. Um, nice to meet you.”
Noel watched him go, a frown edging its way into her features. Talon also stared skeptically after him. Noel faced Trenton.
“Trenton, what happened? Why did he need to leave? I know I didn’t say much, but I promise my brother is not an enemy.”
Her steel eyes bore into his, almost trying to dissect him.
Trent huffed, now he looked like the bad guy when he was just looking out for everyone.
"Talon don't stare at me like that you know why." he huffed, before reaching up to his dirtied cap and pulling it off.
His fluffy wolf ears unfurled and popped out twitching every which way.
"I wanted to tell you two about the wolf ears, and i didnt want it to spread past you two so i asked him to leave okay?" He looked around the room at there expressions.
"Are you kidding me Trent? that just makes you cooler." He smirked at him, mostly just grinning.
"Really?" he perked up a bit.
a knock came at the door.

He looked down at her as she woke, concerned.
she rubbed her eyes as they watered a bit from not blinking the entire freaking time. She noticed a warmth around her and then noticed Malachi's arms around her, did she cling onto to him or did he hug her? why would he hug her? she frowned a little bit assuming she must have clung to him in her vision.
She muttered a sorry that was barely audible before trying to detach from the hug, this was the second time it had happened infront of him and it honestly felt pathetic.
she sighed, looking down.
(Oh I meant Talon was staring at Alister….)
(oh- oops-)
(Lol it’s ok)
(pretend he didnt say that to talon)
(“Noel, don’t stare at me like that. I’ll show you why,” he huffed.)
(I remember when I was young,)
(Things were bright and lovely)
(My eyes coated in a rose colored lens,)
(I thought it would last forever)
(Please, won’t you stay?)
(If not beside me,)
(Then inside me?)
(Keep me whole)
(While the rose falls from my eyes)
He thought she said something, but the rain covered her soft whisper. He pulled his arm away, letting her detach while he repeated the song more softly this time, the words blurring together with open-mouthed hums.
When he finished, he sighed as well. He wondered if he should ask. Well, it wouldn’t matter, she had a low opinion of him anyway.
“What did you see?”
She seemed to be showing symptoms of PTSD, but it seemed to happen very randomly. He’d seen people get unwanted flashbacks at certain times, all with a common trigger between them. Even if he’d only seen it twice, he couldn’t pin point anything common in those moments that could act as a trigger. It nagged at him annoyingly.
Trent huffed, now he looked like the bad guy when he was just looking out for everyone.

a knock came at the door.
Noel gaped at the wolf ears, her eyes moving to dissect them instead. She didn’t notice her daisies slowly wilting. She managed, “Woah… Trent… why do they make you look so cute?”
She was suddenly filled with the desire to touch them, but considered the fact that they had most likely been artificially and painfully attached. Still, she couldn’t keep from reaching out her hand slightly.
Talon chuckled, eyes gazing proudly at Trenton. “They do make you look cool, dude… and cute, I guess.”
Noel snapped out of it and was about to ask Trenton a million questions, but she turned to the knock at the door. “Is that you, Alister? I don’t think you want to come in yet.”
Alister managed to find his way down to the basement, or in other words, the hospital. Despite it being a basement, it was warm and homely, a wide open space with a wooden floor covered in old, faded rugs and soft furniture. He’d been surprised to see that they even had this stuff, but wasn’t as surprised to learn that they had stolen it or scavenged it from decades old homes. He walked past a few badly injured people being tended to by a gray-blonde man, up to Bimala, who was working at a holographic computer emitting a soft orange glow.
She glanced at him. “Hey Storm. What brings you here? Is your arm acting up again?”
“Oh no, thank you,” he said softly. “Trenton and Talon came up, and they all wanted to talk in private.”
He sat down in an empty love seat, unsure of what to do.
a ginger boy with freckles and ivy green eyes opened the door, looking up at the whole group until they all stared at him, and then he broke eye contact only solely looking towards noel.
"U-um B wanted you to know that they might not um send out a patrol for as long or as far as they had um hoped because the storms u-um getting pretty bad out there.." he fiddled with his hands before offering noel a weak anxious smile.
he had noticed trents ears but by the look on trents face he realized he probably shouldn't have. "U-um if I'm interrupting i can leave.."
Before the ginger boy came in, he was enjoying the feedback he was getting and honestly got a bi flustered with all the cute comments but played it with a bit of "I'm kinda hurt, you guys didn't hink i was cute before? ouch."
He chuckled a little bit along with evan chuckling then noticed noel reaching out a bit.
"its okay if you want to touch them noel, there pretty soft."
then ginger boy walked in,
and saw trents ears before he had time to put his hat back on.
He thought she said something, but the rain covered her soft whisper. He pulled his arm away, letting her detach while he repeated the song more softly this time, the words blurring together with open-mouthed hums.

Even if he’d only seen it twice, he couldn’t pin point anything common in those moments that could act as a trigger. It nagged at him annoyingly.
she sighed at his question.
why the heck not, not like she had something to loose.
"i saw this man…he looked really familiar, we were in my old house i think. The attic area, i was trying to get away from him, but he pulled me from the darkness. He asked me to do something and i told him i'd rather die and so he picked me up and wrapped his hands around my throat and started to choke me…until i think, my mom got home and he dropped me and i hit my head on the corner of a desk making it start bleeding, then he told me to not tell anyone and left." she rubbed her neck when talking about it.
Noel sighed. “Figures.”
Talon stepped between Trenton and the boy, almost acting like a shield. “She said you shouldn’t come in here. Even if you weren’t the person we thought you were, it would’ve at least been better if you talked outside.”
She gave him a look, then walked over to the boy, standing a few inches from him and blocking his view of the other boys. “Thanks. Could you let Mrs. Collins know I want to speak with her later? Oh, and remind me of your name?”
She sized him up. He had a nervous demeanor, and hopefully wouldn’t be one to go blabbering about everything he saw.
“Ah, I see.” Bimala didn’t look up from the computer. Alister tugged at the beads in his mahogany hair, worried she might be busy.
She tapped the screens a few times, like she was moving something from one screen to another, then she looked at him, pushing her glasses up. “Sorry, had to transfer those medical files. Why don’t we do some stretches together while we talk? You look like you want to talk.”
He made a small, admitting smile and sat up straight. Bimala started rotating her arms, and he mimicked her, asking tentatively, “Who’s that guy? I haven’t seen him around.” He nodded to the man tending to the injured people.
“That’s Dr. Quinn, the medic for the rebellion here in ‘7. He’s been generous enough to allow me to share his space. We’ve been pleased to find that we work quite well together.” She smiled as they began rotating their opposite arms.
(bimala x Dr)
"Y-yeah i can." He noticed how they kept moving in front of each other cluing him in that he definitely wasn't supposed to see what he just saw.
"S-sorry, Also its K-Keegan." He slowly backed out of the room grabbing the door handle and shutting it as he left.
Trent exhaled more like a sigh, "Hopefully he dosent go mouthing off to everyone about what he just saw." he ran a hand through his hair before offering a thankful smile to talon and noel.
"Im sure he wont, honestly doubt the kid has any friends, i think hes on the newer side." Evan spoke.
((bruh XD idk tbh also what is Keegan’s last name, his district, and does he have any siblings? And sorry, I should’ve explained when I asked this about Trenton, but it’s so I can figure out their ID codes)
(

Hhhh he's from the district over, he has one sibling that is also ginger. They twins. His last name is reeves
“He does look new…” Noel said absentmindedly before whirling around to face Trenton, her eyes ablaze with passion and curiosity. Her arms flailed slightly as she spoke.
“Trent! How the heck can you hear? How did they put actual wolf ears on your head? Did they do anything else to you? And, just so I understand, why exactly do you feel the need to hide it? I mean, I don’t hide my extra arms.” She fell silent, staring at them again in fascination.
Talon smiled back at Trenton before going over to Evan. He had an amused expression on his face, like he’d been silently laughing at himself. “You know what, dude? I think I’m gonna get this arm looked at. I somehow convinced Ms. Miller nothing was wrong, but it’s starting to actually hurt now. I’ll see you in a bit. Oh, and tell me what went down while you were still in that prison when I come back, alright?”
He gave a little salute with his left hand and left, muttering his intentions to the others as he passed, his dreadlocks swinging around his head.
“That’s cool,” Alister smiled back. “How so?”
“Well, he’s got the healing abilities,” she tilted her head as they continued the arm movements. “I’ve got the brains.” She chuckled, dipping her head slightly. “And water abilities, which can be useful from time to time.”
“Ohhhh,” he looked back at the man in curiosity. Then he looked back, a confused expression crossing his face. “Then why didn’t he heal Evan, Noel, or me?”
“Ah,” she exhaled. “See those people? They’re badly injured people from ’7. He wouldn’t rest until he could alleviate their pain, but he’s been working on them for several days now.” She lowered her voice. “The factory they’d been working in exploded.”
His eyes widened. Not feeling comfortable discussing that anymore, he lowered his voice as well. “Wow. Um, could we change the subject?”
“Of course.”
(Ok thanks!)

Trent put a hand to his neck and looked away from noel. "Ah, they put them on my head I don't know how…but they are there and they work I can move them and everything. I also have some wolf fangs…all I know is once they finished destroying my ears and I passed out and woke up with these." He moved the ears wiggling them around on his head.
He gave talon a pat pat. "Good luck dude hope it's not something too serious." He then turned to Evan.
"well since I'm still here you wanna talk to meet about what happened while you were there?"
Evan turned to look at Trent.
"I mean I can try, I hit my head on the wall and everything was mostly blurry after that." He smiled softly chuckling awkwardly.
"Nah it's okay, if you don't want to it's fine."
Evan smiled at Trent.
"Thanks."
she sighed at his question.

“Oh…” he curled his lips and knit his thick eyebrows together. Her story reminded Malachi of his father. He hadn’t thought about him in years, but he would always remember him for his violence. This story also seemed to be from years gone by, but why did she see it? It was surely something that could induce long lasting trauma, but it didn’t help identify a specific trigger, at least, in relation to the moments the flashbacks happened. So random…
He decided to leave the matter for later. “I’m sorry about that. I knew a violent man once, too. But if you don’t mind me asking…” he paused, wondering how he should phrase it. “Are you going back to the aliens after this? Or are you going to make you own way? And… do you want to know your name?”
