He shrugged, pulling his legs into a crisscross applesauce. “Well, you said that since I was your target, the aliens would’ve given you certain information about me. They must’ve given you my age.”
The beast sang a few low notes. She had stopped eating, now laying down on her stomach and resting her head on her paws. She slowly raised it, looking out into the distance.
Storm is moving south…. Not sure how big… she tilted her head. Perhaps in an hour? she laid her head back down. Tired and full.

"Hm okay." She turned away from the creature to do a deadpan stare at Malachi.
"your somewhere in your 20's early 20's other than that they didn't know much about your age." she sighed, looking practically dead inside like normal.
Then she felt it again rising in the back her throat, she, once again shoved it down.

@Tired-but-passionate

"U-uh no, nope! nothing happened while you were gone." nervous chuckling as he looked away as he also felt the blood rush to his cheeks. "Noel nothing happened right?" He called on Noel for support but then immediately regretted asking.
he wanted to start crying but ya know, not in front of B. or noel. or Alister. okay, maybe Alister.

Trent also looked over as the new man entered the man. he could hear the thunderstorm getting worse outside.

“Ah, he’s the other guy for the search party,” Talon said after a moment. He took a swig of water. “You wanna go visit Evan?”

Bimala turned to Noel.
She wheezed. “Sure, nothing.” She winked at him. Then she gave Bimala a look that seemed to say, I’ll tell you later.
“Fine, I won’t ask,” she sighed. “At least your heart isn’t beating faster for a worse reason.”
Alister glared at his sister. She gave him a maniacal grin in return. In his intense annoyance and embarrassment, he managed to notice how flustered Evan had sounded. That only reinforced his feelings, however. Did he embarrass or confuse him? Gosh, why did he even try to lose himself in the deep, coffee colored pools that were his eyes, or the way his faded hair fell around his face, or how his pink lips curved into that easy smile…?
As he quietly died on the edge of the bed, Bimala stood, oblivious and writing some things down in a notebook. “Hmm,” she adjusted her glasses. “I’ll be back with some stretches later. I’ll give you guys some time to talk, if you’d like.”
She gave Noel a little side hug and left.
And Noel burst into laughter.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

His face immediately flushed up as soon as B left and noel started laughing, he let out a groan/whine and turned poutingly towards noel.
"Noeeelllll," he whined pouting in her direction still being extremely flustered and felt like his heart would beat out of his chest.
he tried not to look at Alister but he did, before looking back at noel internally screaming and groaning at how much of a mess he was.

"Yeah, lets go." he picked up his finished meal and empty dishes and set them where they were supposed to go and headed towards the stairs.

@Tired-but-passionate

She wheezed, sounding like a dying horse. “You two are such dorks!”
“Noel, be quiet. Eat the dang roll.” Alister accidentally caught Evan’s eye again, and he quickly buried his burning face in his knees.
“Wow Ali, chill,” she said, the wheezing gone from her voice. “It’s not like looking into each other’s eyes will burn you to a crisp, although you guys look like you’re burning up right now.”
Much to his own regret, Alister contemplated the idea of punching her in the arm. But he kept his face buried, fuming but silent as Noel started finishing the roll anyway.

He followed Trenton’s example, then walked up beside him and asked as they went up the stairs, “How are the ears?”

@Tired-but-passionate

“Ooh, I was close. And hey,” Malachi turned to Arden. “What did she say? I wanted to know that too.”
Her deadpan stare only made him stare back. It was very familiar to him; he wore it himself every time he somehow found a mirror to look through during his time in the experimentation labs. He briefly wondered how it ever managed to come off.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

"She said the storm was moving south she didn't know how big maybe an hour before it passes and you can go back to your little rebellion."
the deadpan stare only got more lifeless as she forced it down, swallowing it down with a huge lump in her throat that seemed to want to go up. She got up and walked towards he exit leaning on the wall.

"Irritated, its hard to have the cap on them and them being smushed it being comfortable." he sighed, can we say he got dog/wolf life attributes so like he senses the storm and is worried/tense?

He didn't reply only looking away flustered when alister caught his eye, he finally spoke.
"You don't know what its like noel.if you did you would understand." he muttered out, talking about how she didn't get a soulmate yet.

@Tired-but-passionate

(Ye ye)

“Would you feel comfortable telling Arden about them?” He asked, giving him another sympathetic glance. He paused when they got to the top, leaning on the wall.

She finished the roll, finally quiet. “Maybe I don’t want to know what it’s like,” she murmured. Snow-white daisies bloomed on her knuckles, and she watched dispassionately.
Alister raised his head slightly to peak out, his gaze catching on the blooms. He felt his eyes getting wet for some reason, and he rubbed at them quickly.
“Can you please just apologize?” He asked, his voice cracking. Embarrassment had been a feeling he had made sure to never, ever feel again, and now that it was coming back, he’d been slightly overwhelmed. He hated it with a passion.
Noel’s cloudy eyes flicked to her brother before going back to the daisies. “I’m sorry.”
“Thank you.”
Her eyes flicked back to him and stayed there. “Now you say ‘I forgive you.’”
His brow furrowed, a strange uncomfortableness coming over him. Forgiveness had never really been a solid concept at the prison. “Um… I forgive you.”
It sounded hollow. He hated it.

Your little rebellion.
Perhaps he’d been naive. Why would someone who’d spent their whole lives living in a certain way, with certain ideas, ever want to leave if they don’t see the benefits of leaving? Why would someone join something if they don’t see the benefits of joining?
He watched her get up, an old sorrow coming over him. He filed the info on the storm away in his brain as the creature starting singing softly.
“Thank you,” he said. “Are you alright?”
He was unsure if he should get up as well.

"I mean, I guess…I just don't want it to spread from there." He said reaching up and tugging his down, looking around a bit anxiously at the oncoming even worse storm. He didn't catch the sympathetic glance that talon gave him.

maybe I don't want to know what it's like sound somber and just all out wrong. making him feel as if he had said the wrong since and made noel experience a deeper pain. had something gone wrong while he had been captured? he sighed, glancing at the wall and listening to the siblings banter. He did glance back at alister before looking away again.

(can i make a soul mate for noel-)

"No reason to thank me." she spoke out, facing towards the storm ignoring the second question and simply choosing not to answer it as the vision forced its way up again into her brain and covering her eyes even tho she always shut them before it happened it never seemed to do anything, so this time she kept them open.

(Yeeeeaaahhhh hehehehehehe)

“Sure dude. I just think he he should know too.” He pushed off the wall and started down the hallway. He noticed Trenton’s anxiety. “Yeah, it looks bad out there. It didn’t look like they were sending the search party too far out, though.”

“… good enough,” Noel sighed. It only made Alister feel bad, like he could’ve done better. He probably should have.
They were silent for a moment. Alister glance over at Evan again, a bitter taste in the back of his mind throat. He ignored it, saying, “Sorry about that, Evan. Are… are you okay?”

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

(hehehehehe)

"Your right, Your right." he aid almost feeling as if he was reassuring himself more than anyone. "I really hope they dont go too far, its only going to get worse as the night goes, maybe they should wait out the storm, but then Malachi may suffer because of us waiting." he sighed.

Evan turned back to Alister, "Im..fine. im good, really." He gave Alister a weak smile. "Its fine by th ay, you dont have to apologize."

@Tired-but-passionate

“Well, you answered my question.” Malachi kept his eyes on her, deciding to stand up. There was still a dull ache in the small of his back, and he groaned softly, his movements slow. When he got on his feet, he leaned on the cave wall to keep himself steady.
He decided just to accept whatever path Arden may take. Though her abilities would be incredibly useful in their efforts, she had shown clear disdain for the rebels, and joining the rebellion was always about doing so of your own free will. If she went back to the aliens and gave them away, well, they always had a plan for that.
Her silence concerned him, however. He shuffled over to her, the beast’s song echoing around them.

@Tired-but-passionate

Talon murmured in agreement. He checked what he thought was Evan’s room, closed the door in dissatisfaction, then tried another.

“Okay,” Alister rubbed his neck, still feeling slightly embarrassed.
“Can we change the subject?” Noel offered.
The door creaked open. “Gladly, my dude,” Talon said, letting himself in.
“Talon!” Her eyes widened with familiarity, and she grinned.
“Hey Noel,” he waved to her and Alister, then went over to Evan. “Evan, my man! Glad to see you on the other side, eh? How are you? Dang, you’re in a wheelchair? How about that?”
He smiled, offering his left hand since his rightful arm was broken.

it felt familiar to her, like she had seen it a million times, she probably had. She watched as her step dad approached her, her little kid self. He had just requested something of her, she knew exactly what he said scowling at him. She responded to him with, "I'd rather die!" he approached her slowly and scowl and glare morphed onto his face as he started at her like he would the scum of the earth. "Then why don't you." Had been his response, she looked at herself backing up into a corner as far as she could. she knew it wouldn't help, this sick pig still approached her. Kneeling down to be face to her terrified face, Just watching he event happen filled her with fear as if she were in the spot and it was happening again..She tried to vanish into the shadows but her step dad reached into the black shadows and pulled her out and standing up off the ground. He slapped her across the face, tears springing her eyes. He said something incohearnt before placing hands firmly around her neck and starting to squeeze. she clawed at his hands trying to break free from them. Spots dotted her vision she was running out of air fast. Then she heard her mom, "Mom…." she whispered reaching a hand out and her step dad dropped her, she banged her head on a table edge, holding her bleeding forehead her step dad left the room with a warning. "Dont tell your mom or else." she woke from the vision with a jolt.

Trent walked in behind talon though he heard the conversation before they had even opened the door or gotten closed to it.
He waved at noel as he entered the room, tilting his head at Alister not recognizing him.
He walked over to Evan as well as Talon and waited for Talon to stop talking.
Evan gasped at Talon. "Talon hey! Its good to see you too! Im doing pretty good, im in a wheelchair becaus is worried about my wounds reopening if i walk or stand to much." He chuckled a little fist bumping talon before turning to Trent.
"Hey dude glad to see your still alive." He smiled at Evan ruffling evans hair, Evan gasped at the mutilated ears r the missing ears. "they cut off your ears?! how can you even hear??" trent hesitated at that question looking at alister then at Talon.

@Tired-but-passionate

Noel answered automatically. “Technically he’d still be able to hear, as long as they didn’t mess with the part of the ear that’s inside your head.”
Talon almost didn’t register what she said, but he whipped around to stare at her. Alister stared at her too.
An amused expression crossed her face. “What? They had me learn basic human anatomy when I used to work in the med bay.”
Talon rolled his eyes. “Noel, we aren’t nerds like you, alright?”
She grinned.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

He chuckled at the interaction but as they were talking about it he'd have flashbacks back to when they litterally reached into his ear and ripped out his cochela, plus the three small bones in his ears, plus the Eustachian tubs in his ears, and the immense pain he felt when they were doing it. his almost felt his ears ringing but realize i was nothing.
"they did, unfortunately." he put a hand to his neck.

@Tired-but-passionate

Noel winced. “Ouch.”
“Are you alright?” Alister perked up, looking closely at the new boy.
“Oh- I should probably introduce you,” Noel stuck a hand out in front of him.
“Ali, this is Talon Pierce and Trenton…” she sighed. “I always forget your last name for some reason. Talon, Trenton, this is my brother, Alister. He came here with me from the prison yesterday, during the invasion.”
“Hey.” He waved at them, giving a small smile.
Talon tried to cross his arms over his chest before cringing and just keeping them at his sides. “Noel! You have a brother? I thought you guys looked alike.” He studied Alister for a moment. “You said he came with you from the prison?”
“It’s a long story,” she shrugged.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

'Yeah im fine." he kept the hand to his neck. He watched as Noel introduced them to the new guy who smelled like lab way too much for trents liking.
"your brother hm? how come we didn't know about him sooner?" he questioned not meaning for it to come out so serious and yet it did. he wanted to know where alister had been and why he hadn't been with his sister.
Evan reached out and put a hand to rent, rent turned and even shook his head and Trenton sighed.
"I guess if evan says your okay your cool."
