"Envy, I think you should say something nice about her, not something like that," Kindness said, overhearing the other emotion's words.

"I'm envious of her positivity," Envy threw her hands up, "How is that not nice?!"

Trust said, "Today is going to be amazing, I just know it!"

Sadness sighed. “But… just remember the goldfish… it died yesterday…. oh, there’s no hope!” And broke down into tears.

"C'mon Mia, time to get a head start?" Joy said excitingly as she started pressing buttons on the board

“No, no, no, we have to sit and mourn!” Sadness weeped.

Love began to tear up, "Mia really loved that goldfish."

“She did!” Sadness wailed.

Love began crying, "Why? Why did the goldfish have to die?!"

“I. Don’t. Know!” Sadness collapsed on the floor, sobbing.

"Hungry," Indignation mentioned off-handedly, watching through Mia's eyes as she began to cry.

Trust took the controls, and made Mia stand up, ready for a new day. "Come on guys, let's go!"

“But, but…. GOLDY!”

"No time to waste, Today will be awesome! Nothing can go wrong!"

"No no no, someone get sadness away from the board! She needs to have a positive start!" She urged as she continued pressing buttons.

"Ill do it." Surprise sighed as he dragged Sadness away.

Love dried up her tears, "Yes well. Didn't mom say we were getting a new goldfish?"

“Nooooo!” Sadness wailed, kicking.

Fear said, "But everything can go wrong! I made a list of ten thousand ways Moa could die!"

“We. Have. To. Mourn!” Sadness cried.

Surprise tightened his grip and he put her in a chair. Then he drew circle around it. "This is a game. Don't step outside the circle ok?" He encouraged before going back to watch Mia.

"Yes she did!" Anticipation said. "And I know she's gonna get it for us."

“But, I don’t care, I want GOLDY!”

Disgust sneered as Sadness's poor level of maturity. "Oh get over it. Fish die." She turned her attention to Mia's reflection. "Woah, woah, woah, woah, WOAH! We aren't eleven anymore people, let me drive."

"Are you going to make the other girl's envious of us?" Envy asked Disgust.

“NO.” Sadness said, tears still streaming out of her eyes.

Love walked over to Sadness and gave her a hug, "I'll mourn with you Sadness."
