"She loves this shirt," Love sighed, "I'll be extra careful!"

Mia leaned over her plate so she wouldn't spill anything on her shirt. This was her first day of school and she didn't want to look like a mess.

"Would you please shut up?!" Rudeness asked, sounding more like a demand than a question.

"Stay calm guys, it's only morning," Patience suggested.

Envy sighed, "I wish I could be that straight forward."

Love gasped at Rudeness, "Rude!"

“Mornings are so depressing,” Sadness sighed.

"Mornings are great Sadness!" Love exclaimed, "It's time for new starts and new love!"

Mia's mother finally found her keys. She kissed Mia on the head before heading for the door. "Good luck on your first day sweetie!" Her mom waved to her before shutting the door.

"They call me Rudeness for a reason, stupid," he spat back at Love.

“Nope. We have to stop sleeping,” Sadness said, a tear sliding down one cheek.

"Guys!" Patience whispered shouted, not wanting to be loud.

Impatience walked up to the controls along with Love. School was going to be a new but similar experience and Impatience didn't want to wait around as usual. She kept Mia careful as to not ruin anything, but as soon as she was done, there was no time to lose.

Love looked at impatience, "I'm so excited for school!"

Mia rushed for her backpack, which was sitting on the couch of the living room. "What's the rush?" Her dad asked. "I don't want to be late on the first day!" She replied, throwing her backpack on.

"Impatience! Check the time, we should be on time, not too early or late."

"It never hurts to be early though," Impatience said, biting her lip slightly in concentration. Looking at the time, they were on schedule and Mia wouldn't be late.
"We're good on time for now, Patience," she assured her counterpart.

Mia waved to her dad as she left the house, shutting the door behind her. She breathed in the cold autumn air, starting down the sidewalk.

Anticipation jumped up. "School's gonna be great, I can feel it! I'm so excited! I can't wait!" He babbled.

"Lets go everyone, Mia's going to make friends!" She said excitingly as she got into the car.

"Ahhh so many surprises along the way!" Surprise added, jumping up and down in excitement.

"And we get to see old ones!" Anticipation anticipated.
