(I think i posted mine)
(Yeah we were just waiting for u to give the all clear to start. :) )
Tasha was sitting at the table in the mess hall with a pack of cards, shuffling and reshuffling them. Colin was wandering around, asking people if they wanted to play a game of BS.
(oh sorry. I'm in class so might be a bit slow to respond but I should be good)
(Aight! No worries!)
Valentina had been wondering around. When Coln got to her she accepte his offer. "Fair warning I'm awul at BS," She lied. She was actually really good at BS even without abusing her powers.
"Tasha's in the mess hall. I'll try to round up some other people. BS isn't fun with three players."
Jax sat in the back of the mess hall, chatting happily with others while she read from her medial book. The book was almost as big as she was, and the girl often had trouble carrying it around, but she somehow managed to lug the thing from place to place. The book was open on a page covering infectious diseases, as Jax was working on an emergency protocol in case one of such diseases should ever break out at Lux's Orchards.
"Hey, Jax, wanna play BS?" Tasha called.
Valentina nodded and walked to the mess hall. Sitting down across from Tasha.
"We'll wait for some more people, and then we'll start," Tasha told her.
(Yeah I’m in school too so)
(I just got off)
Valentina nodded lookign aroun the mess hall.
Lyn crouched in a corner, her large eyes watching everything. She’d finished eating a few minutes before, but the prospect of a game made her curious. She didn’t really want to play; she didn’t even know what BS was.
She licked her paw, then rubbed her ear, cleaning it. The feline form was her favorite one to take, mostly because of the heighten senses, and because people more often left her alone. It was warm outside, so she was a simple American shorthair with a calico coat.
She glanced around after she finished rubbing her ear, accidentally meeting Valentina’s eyes.
Colin eventually came back to the mess hall. "I can't find anyone else. We might have to wait for another time."
Jaden stepped into the mess hall, a fencing sword at their side and looking a bit sweaty. "I'll play, I was just working out and could use a break." They set down their sword on the bench before they themselves plopped down. "Using powers?"
"Of course not, silly," Colin said, giving them a friendly shove. "Otherwise, I'd win."
"That's one of the rules," Tasha said, with a benign smile. "No using powers during activities. It gives some an unfair advantage."
"Colin, you know full well that I'd win by just giving you bad luck." Jade stuck their tongue out at him, flicking Colin on the side of his head. "And if I didn't win in this game, I could win in a fight." They nodded to their sword.
Colin shoved them again, grinning a dimpled smile.
Tasha, meanwhile, sighed and began dealing out the cards.
HAPPY 954TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF HASTINGS YES I'M A NERD FIGHT ME
(Bro yeah, happy anniversary!!)
Jaden too their card, setting them down on the table in front of them. "Ah yes, my love of gambling will spawn from this game." They joked.
Colin rolled his eyes and picked up his pile.
"Right, who's got the Ace of Spades?" Tasha asked, scanning her cards.
"Ooh! Me! I do!" said Colin excitedly, putting down a card.
Tasha looked at him, amused. "Colin, that's the Ace of Hearts."
"Oh. Sorry." He picked it up again.
Jade looked at their cards and threw one down. "I do, none of my luck needed."
"Right, my turn, right?" Colin said, plucking two cards from his pile. "Um… two twos."
"One three," said Tasha promptly, discarding a card.
Valentina nodded to the rule. SHe decided to follow it. Not wanting to make enemies that fast. "two fours." She said placing it down.
"BS," Colin said promptly.
Tasha rolled her eyes. "Colin, you can't call BS so early in the game."
"Yes I can!"
"I don't think you're supposed to. Sportsmanship, you see."
Colin nodded like he understood, then grinned at Valentina. "OK. Sorry. Not BS."
Jade grinned and threw three cards down. "Three fives my dudes."
Colin frowned at his cards and selected three of them. "Three sixes."
"BS," Tasha said, "I have two sixes."
Colin pointed an accusing finger at Tasha. "Cheater! Cheater cheater pumpkin eater! No powers!"
"It's not powers, just logic," Tasha said coolly, pushing her glasses back up the bridge of her nose.
"Oh." Colin sighed, frowned, and turned his cards over, revealing a six, a three, and a king, before taking the pile.
Tasha put down a seven.
