( @LaniGirl so since its your pack thingy holding the ball, you can to set the…well the setting lol. Sorry im currectly tryingnto reply to about 20 roleplays right now. But i mean if you want me to do the skip i can, itll just take a bit)

@LaniGirl

The Courling ball, by far, was Daciana's favourite part of the year. In fact, she didn't know a person in her life, no matter the race, that didn't live if only for that one annual night.
Despite the usual strict rules of where you could go, what you could do, who you should be seen with and so forth, all the rules for every class seemed to vanish in the packs. Neighbouring wolves that were once at war came together and ate beside each other in warm pleasantry, species often deemed dangerous were welcomed with open arms. No one looked twice at you, cared what you were or what you might become, everyone forget the laws of nature and partied.
All to mock the human race and their horribly ironic celebration of 'Halloween'.

As a kid, Daciana had followed her brother around in these events, terrified by the loud thumping music and graveyard of beer bottles, but recently it had become her solace. Her moment of relief to just dance, scream and morph into the hot, sticky atmosphere the naturally came with the Courling Ball.
If it got too much for her, there was always a section of the woods where the calm royal families celebrated together, where she was technically supposed to be anyway. Daciana hardly ever did that. Not anymore.
She'd rather be in danger or uncomfortable then trapped in her future.
It didn't matter what the music was, or what unnameable drink was slipping down her throat, she loved it. Everyone did, the night had a contagious feeling to it, perhaps why so many people turned up.

This year the ball was being held in her section of the woods, her father had been micro-managing every fraction of everything from decorations to security, meaning he hadn't noticed either of his children return home scratched and unnerved. Kalyke didn't speak to his sister when they saw each other, but pinned her down with a look that lasted a mere moment that screeched warnings that he was not happy. She let it wash over her, she ignored it, because tonight, for one night, she didn't have to deal with any of it.
Opting for her signature slim black dress that flowed long only at the back and reflected the ancient stars above, Daciana hurried to her mother's chambers of which were at the highest point of the mountain the Elder Wolves (Royals) resided on.
She knocked twice, quickly readjusting her earring and pulling down her dress as far as the short fabric could go.
"Yes?"
Daciana swallowed, nervously. "Uh, someone told me you wanted to see me?"
The door swung open, one of her mothers maid's bowing at her. "Yes, yes. Come in, dear."
She was hit by the rushing, overpowering, lavender scent of her mother who was sitting in a dazzling yellow dress that would have looked hideous on anyone else. She waved her daughter over without looking up.
"What can I do for you, Mother?"
"Well, once the ball begins I expect you to greet everyone by your brothers side. No arguments. Afterwards I permit you to do what you must but keep an eye out for the twins. Of course, they are meant to be protected by our best security but naturally they will escape."
"Yes Mother."
"And, I'd like to do your makeup."
"Is that an option, ma'am?"
"No."

Min-Hyuk sighed as he stepped through the other side of the forest, far from the wolves presumably. Stepping into an opening, a great green feild with flowers splattered like stars. Min-Hyuks gaze fell on an old mansion dating back to the 200's.
The cracked stone and the vines gave it more of a spooky effect and some would say it looked haunted. Though that was just because kids were stupid.
Through the two curved windows at the front of the house were silky red curtains and between that was a nice, yet old oak door.
Stepping up to it, Min-Hyuk knocked three times only for a tall dark man to open it.
Dark chockate skin, yet the blondest hair he had ever seen wa set on the tall man. A smile and yellow green eyes beamed down at Min-Hyuk.
He shuffled awkwardly as he looked at him
"Hey Cassiu-" he was cut off and pulled inside by his big hand and the oak doors slammed shut behind him.
"Oh wow!!" He says with a smile and an accent that sounded similar to british but not quite.
"Youve grown! I havent seen you since the last Courling ball!"
"Uhm yeah…" min stepped back awkardly, his demeanor totally different from when at school.
"Whatve you been doing all this time? Dont tell me you actually kill for food this past year? You know i run a morgue, you can just come to me if you need anything Min" Cassius says already fathering him and fixing his hair.
"Sorry i dont like old people blood" Min rolled his eyes, moving out of the way of Cass's hand
"Okay okay we can work on your bad manners later. Right now we've got to get ready" he winked at Min-Hyuk
"Ive got the best manners" he says walking up the red carpeted staircase up to three rooms.
"So, im thinking….red. yeah?" Cass says setting three red suits down on a silk sheeted bed
"Sure" he shrugged. Cass only sighed. "this kid"

@LaniGirl

( I missed your writing style wow! so pretty! plus I LOVE that setting description. Gorgeoussss!! I'll get mine up in a sec)

@LaniGirl

"Daciana, you're not as smooth as you think you are!" An angry voice rang out from the kitchen's she was fleeing. "If you can't fit into that overpriced dress, don't you dare blame me!"
A chorus of giggling burst through her fingers, Daciana tried desperately to shut herself up as she ran from her personal kitchen staff. The Courling Ball had all the servants and staff rushing around like sugar-hyped toddlers, screaming and whining about every detail of the night. The kitchen staff especially, Daciana had gotten to know them as a kid because she could eat more then any of them. Her brother used to joke that it was the cause of her strength.
The lady that had screamed at her, Samantha, knew Daciana like she was her own, and had the privilege of chasing the young werewolf with a wooden spoon every other day when she'd try to sneak steak pastries out of the kitchen areas.
Samantha would never actually hit her, Daciana knew she was well loved by the older woman, but man, did she love testing the boundaries.

She bounded back down towards her caves, waving at friends, mock saluting the guards and grinning at the sight of her brother who was promptly shaking his head at her childishness as she darted about.
"Daciana the guests have started arriving you know!"
"I'm well aware, dear brother!" She cried over her shoulder. "I hope that's not what you're wearing!"
Kalyke looked down at himself suddenly, perplexed. "What's wrong with this?"
She was teasing him, of course, every species that was to turn up would be drooling over themselves trying to impress her brother. The future king of the werewolves, looking handsome and pissing his sister off. His specifically tailored suit gleamed purposeful in the moonlight, and complimented his knock-out beam. But he didn't need to know that.
She didn't reply.
"Daciana? What's wrong with the suit?!"
She laughed, all the way to her cave, glancing up once to catch the sight of the full moon before turning to put her own outfit on. One that matched her brothers, black and long with enough move-ability that she didn't complain to the designers, that shone magically when the moon hit it and reflected the stars in mesmerising glittering patterns.
With her makeup, dagger tucked under her dress, and oddly comfortable dress, Daciana left her cave at the sound of the deafening music waking up to life, to greet the people.
And she did the same, grinning ear to ear.

(Ah! Youre writing is so cute!)

Min_Hyuk let out a cold breath, showing in front of his lips as the older vampire tightened his bow and swooped his hair to the side a little. Styling it so Min-Hyuk actually looked like he tried in his appearances.
"So i guess we're playing dress up now" Min growled. Cassius pouted "oh, i can put you in a ball gown if youd like. My sister owned plenty in her day" he smiled, sharp fangs glinting in the light of the candle lit chandelier above the two gentleman.
"Plesse….dont." Min grumbled, rolling his black eyes, the scent of warm blood wafting in from the kitchen making them a glint of red.

Min-Hyuk stood in front of the golden frames mirror, the details of the leaves and red rubies carved into the shape of roses shining in the flames around them. Cass was always very old timey. Though all Min-Hyuk knew of his friend was that he was a duke from the 1800's and hes had to watch his family and loved ones die as he didnt age a bit.
Min easily shrugged that off whenever he thought about it, knowing Cassius never liked to be pitied. And it was easy for Min to not do so in the first place.

Looking back at the 17 year old boy was a well dressed raven black haired gentleman in the mirror. A nice red button up shirt that slid nicely over his skin, the highest point unbuttoned and his collar bone showing the slightest. Which Min fought Cass on doing so. Sleek black paints and nice black shoes, a hint of red in the pigment wheb the light shined on them. Pulling a cold hand to his black devil tailed lip ring, he fiddled with it for a second before sighing. "Cass i dont know" he stepped away from the mirror.
"What, did i get the wrong kind of aluminum for the mirror? Can you not see yourself in this one? I couldnt sworn i changed it" Cassius joked.
The vampires not being able to see themselves in mirrors wasnt a myth. The mirrors made with iron and silver back then. But nowadays theyre made of aluminium. Cass's home was filled with mirrors he wasnt able to see his reflection in. And still, he looked as hansdome as ever.
This specific one though, hes replaced for occasions such as these.

Min huffed and pulled a rose from the vase that sat next to the big window, red silk curtains pulled to the side for the roses to get the sunlight.
"Im stealing this" Min-Hyuk turned to Cass. Who only laughed.
"Well shall we be on our way? My car is still in decent shape" he smiled.

A few moments later, the two gentleman stepped out and made their way deep into the forest, careful not to ruin their clothes.
Stepping through a small crowd if peolle, the last person Min-Hyuk would expect to see on a nice night such as this was that annoying pup.
Though in that moment, she looked drop dead gorgeous. Her face, her hair, even her dress was beautiful- i mean…disgusting
Yeah…
No way Min-Hyuk would be complimenting a werewolf. Let alone the one he ran into a few days ago at school.
Yet his eyes were glued to her as she was greeted by multiple species of myhticality.

@LaniGirl

Night was truly upon them. And everything that came with it.
Dangers, undeniable truths, uncontrollable madness and best of all, freedom.
There was no one look at the Courling Ball, the colours bounced from gentle pastels to fires of purple and red. Every design, piece of clothing and jewellery spoke miles for the person. In her dress, the one that shone and dared anyone to be enchanted by the night, she felt endlessly powerful. Which wasn't usually something Daciana felt in femininity, the usual feeling of being forced to smile and pose herself properly wasn't there. She truly was basking in her position in the Courling Ball, welcoming species from all across the country into the gigantic forest that still would seem crowded that night.
Her brother was somewhere close, no doubt surrounded by women some werewolf in nature, some less so.
It was easy to forget the barrier of breed in the night, in the moon of the Courling, in the magic of it all.
No prejudice, no taunts, no assumptions or slurs. Just the paranormal, the people of which Daciana belonged to.
Vampires, Werewolves, Sirens, Invisiblia, Mummalias, Witches and more.
Family, enemies and most importantly, monsters.

The people seemed to keep coming, she could only just make out the head of her flawlessly blonde mother, laughing without a hint of forcefulness to a monster of slime who had probably made a terrible joke. She was a natural hostess and people lived for it, flattering her as she directed them into the heart of the party. Daciana tried to follow example and was surprised by how easily it came to her, smiling and giggling, receiving compliments from faceless guests that she let pass her and consume into one face.
She was itching to get into the party, she could hear the thundering chatter and music just behind her, she could see how eager everyone was to get into the heart of it all.
That's when she saw him, and suddenly, she didn't really want to go anywhere.
That Vampire from school.
The snarky, sarcastic, borderline-sadistic Vampire that her threatened her and her Brother with undoubted power.
But that wasn't what bothered her.
Every monster was allowed at the Courling Ball, she'd expected to see him really, among the honoured guests were wolfs her pack had fought, witch covens they had massacred and even a sirens that had eaten family.
Daciana hadn't expected him to look so handsome.
His scowl vanished, no crease lines of loathing, a perfect appearance to match his features. His shoes shone to match the very stars, a well-fitted coat that hugged broad shoulders. Dark, brooding and yet flawlessly good looking.
Beside him a cheery, probably Vampire, man with dark skin and bright hair was almost jumping with joy, they contrasted each other nicely.
And they were passing right by her.

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

From someone elses point of view, the two vampires looked wealthy and calm, though one a bit more grumpy than the other.
A strong silent, protective type maybe?
No he was just.mad.
The fact that the she-wolf had caught his red glance annoyed him. She wasnt supposed to notice his starting with everyone everyone around them!

Straightening his tight collar, Min-Hyuk looked away with a roll of his eyes. The scent of all of the other beings around him made his blood colder than usual. Shivers crawling up his spine, annoying the asbolute hell out of him.

A hard THUMP on his back made him choke on his own breath before Min was pulled pack by Cass's big hand.
"I dont wanna be here" he growled. Looking up at him with a hard glare.
"Oh come on! Just because a pretty girl looked at you!? Go on and talk to her!" He smiled, holding him by the back of the collar of his shirt before pushing him in the general direction of the she wolf.

"But shes a mutt!!" He hissed back at him before stumbling over himself. Thank God he didnt have shoelaces because he would definitely have forgotten to tie them and thatd be the ruin of him at this horrid gathering.

Turning back around from facing Cass, he stood right in front of Daciana, looking down at her with wide eyes.
"Oh…s**t" he mumbled to himself as he cleared his throat, flipping Cass off from behind his back.
"I thought you were supposed to try to look good at these things" he says rudely, though not making eye contact with her. She was beautiful, especially tonight. Would he say that? Hell no

@LaniGirl

She sighed, and promptly felt like she'd been doing it forever, like she knew the vampire well enough to sigh every time he entered the room. Within minutes he'd stumbled, interrupted guests and insulted her.
From somewhere close by, her brother sensed his presence.
"Ana, go. Into the party. Now."
His voice rung out like a clear stream, trickling towards her in a calm but demanding tone. She obeyed, knowing he could see the slight nod in her chin from wherever he was. The crowds around them were too thick. She welcomed in a few last guests on her line and redirected the rest of the people towards her mother to be welcomed in.
All in a matter of moments. Then she looked up at her Vampire.
"Not tonight."
And she flipped him the bird, finally, striding off into the party, her dress, undoubtably, flowing dramatically behind her.
The Courling had begun.

@LaniGirl

(not sure where we're going to go now, maybe someone attacks Courling or did you have a plot idea? Either way might be a good idea to have him follow her if you'd like?)

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

(Okay thats fine lol. I think maybe for like the next post or two it can be a bit calmer but like Min-Hyuk and her brother can kind butt heads too. But also, i do like the idea of something going on at the ball. I just dont know what would happen because I think the most the would happen (in my opinion) would be someone gets in a fight. Since this ball is like a place where everyone can meet together in peace no matter race. But i mean if you could think of any way someone would actually like attack it in such a way that would cause something big, I’m all here for it)

Min_Hyuk only glared at her brother, though a sense of mischief in his stance. The fact that neither of them liked him, fueled him even more. He was going to have fun bothering these two.

On the other hand, Cassius was talking up all of the girls without even meaning to. His peppy attitude and his accent seemed to lure everyone in just like that. Cass wasnt a flirt or anything, he just knew how to be nice and actually compliment someone. Though it definitely seemed like he was flirting. Min wouldnt be surprised if Cass went home with a handful of their numbers. And if he did he would through them in his fireplace at home before sitting in front of it drinking a nice, warm cup of blood in his white robe.
He didnt like to bother with those things. Min-Hyuk knew Cassius well enough to know this.

Looking away from the fine looking vampire, he decided to follow the she wolf through the crowd. What? He had nothing better to do than to annoy the crap out of her and her brother. And seeing as technically they didnt have the right to attack him, as he would only be using his words, he was safe. But he wasnt worried about that anyway. His confidence rose too high for him to worry about his safety. And plus, he had Cass if anything did happen.

@LaniGirl

Daciana didn't even make it half-way across the first field, the one dedicated mainly for mingling and drinks, before the girl found her.
Steph. Her supposed best friend, who by birthright would grow to be a lady in waiting and her advisor. They'd been raised together, taught together even.
Daciana couldn't stand her.
She was so fake, so hidden ambitious, she knew what Steph really thought of her. That a she wolf should be exceptionally more womanly then her if she was in line to the throne of their pack. Daciana knew that without having the constant, blonde, perfect reminder fo what a woman should look like, bounding after her all the time.

Steph grabbed onto her arm, linking it through hers and cast her a smile that was too much teeth to be considered friendly.
"You look stunning, honey." Her voice was silky. "No one here looks as wonderful as you. See what happens when you let go of those silly, untraditional thoughts? You fit in, Ana."
Only her brother was allowed to call her that. Daciana tried her best not to recoil, though her whole body language was practically screeching for her to get away.
She always felt trapped around Steph, like maybe everything she believeed was wrong and she should just let this evil, smart girl take over.
Steph either wasn't taking the hint or knew and didn't care. Both were possibilties.
"Look. You've even got an admirer." Steph pointed behind them. "Don't tell me that's your boyfriend, Ana! A vampire? You're already a disgrace, you know! That'll make the council hate you even more."
Daciana winced, but turned to look anyway.
That vampire, he was steadily moving towards them, it sort of did look like he was following them. But she very much doubted it was out of admiration. More like, excitement to ruin her day.
He'd have to get in line, Steph was already here for it.
"I don't even know his name." Daciana managed to mutter out.

Thoughts like those swirled in her brain, clouding it over until her eyes watered slightly, her throat felt thick and she didn't even pull back against Steph's grip.
"How about we go get you some drinks? Maybe some boys to talk to? You're about due for a husband promising you know. Almost shameful that you haven't gotten any proposals yet, right?"
Constricted, uncomfortable and just plain sad. Daciana wanted nothing more than to rip open Steph and leave her in her dust. But maybe she was right.

Maybe Steph and the Vampire would get along.

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

Picking up their very one sided conversation, the only thing he gathered from it was this mutt had some rude friends. Though with how annoying he found her, it didnt look like she had very many options.
But if someone else was already bothering her, he didnt have anything to do for himself. And so for that reason, he didnt like this chick.
Stepping forward to intervene, getting her out of that perpetuating situation but once she said she doesn’t know him….well that kind of ruined his plan.
What was the plan you may ask?
Well, the plan was to come up to her, act like a friend and get her out of there. If she were decent, she would owe him a favor. And thus he would be able to annoy the hell out of her.
Yeah, it was a little immature. Obviously.
But all he ever did was be serious, trying his best not to kill the ones around him. Why couldn’t he have a little fun?

Feeling a sudden tight grip on his shoulder that pulled him back and around to face Cass, Min almost stabbed him in the chest before he realized it was Cass’s face.
Letting out a sigh and rolling his eyes “what?” He growled
“Woah, easy there tiger” he chuckled before his eyes flashed to the two girls walking away from them.
“Darn, is your girly into chicks? That always sucks” he shook his head
“For the last time, shes not my girl. Shes a mutt i met at school and ive got kind of a bone to pick with her”
“Oh I’m sure you do have a bo-“
Cass was interrupted by a firm punch to the stomach.
“Dont- i will gut you after this” Min says quietly, and quite frankly annoyed

@LaniGirl

Instinctively her ears perk up to the sound of a punch, her family was always on the alert for fighting in their territory, usually from rowdy werewolves at a full moon that will pick a fight with anything that moves and especially on nights like that one. The subtle sound of thwack to a chest close by didn't miss her ears, but when she turned she was met with a uglier mess then a werewolf fight.
It was her Vampire, messing around with a buddy a couple of metres back. She groaned loud and long before she could stop herself, deadly annoyed and convinced her night couldn't get much worse.
Steph turned to her. "So you do know him!"
Daciana shrugged. "Yeah, you could say that. Unfortunately."
The advisor werewolf, the princess really, the troublemaker of the pack grumbled under her breath and turned to glare directly at the Vampire. She mouthed over to him, knowing his eyesight was absolutely impeccable, even better then hers. By a mile. Most of his powers were.
Not that she'd ever admit that though.
'Could you not?' She mouthed to him. "Kind of dealing with another asshole here, you'll have to wait until Monday.'

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

Min turned to her for a second, only for her to tell him to stop. He flipped her off with both of his hands before rolling his eyes with a chuckle, amused at simply how much she was bothered by it.
But also, the fact that her attention was pulled towards him.
Obviously she was annoyed by the “rough housing” maybe if he caused a fight or two. That’d be his way of annoying her.
Again, there was nothing better to do at this lame party.

Cass slaps the back of his head “Hey! What the hell was that for?” Min asked, putting a hand on the back of his head.
“What are you a middle schooler!? Thats no way to show a girl you like her” he says with a huff.
“I’m not into her!” Min said
“First step…denial. Dont worry, you’ll come to acceptance sooner or later. And then she’ll probably go through the stages of grief once you reach acceptance…why? Because life is hard. And when that happens, I’m here for you” he says. In which Min-Hyuk only rolled his eyes like the angsty teenager he was.
“Because who could resist you huh?” Cassius chuckled
“Every. Other. Living. Being. On. This. Cursed. Planet. Thats who” he grumbled.
“I mean have you seen what i look like?”
“Yeah, a vampire. Just get rid of the smokes, and youre good” he says hitting him in the side of the arm.
“First of all. No. Second of all, get off my back. Shes a mutt. The only reason I’m not at her throat right now is because we’re at this stupid party alright?”
Min was already annoyed by Cass, but he didnt realize how loud they were both being. Not even to draw everyone’s attention. There was music and everyone chitter chattering in every which direction.
But it was louder than how they would usually talk. Well for Min at least. Cass had always been loud whenever in good spirits. Which wasnt too often. But he faked it a lot. Unlike Min who wanted everyone to know not to mess with him. And for some odd reason, people still got on every one of his nerves.
