Yet as Breanne stood in the Great Hall staring up at the colored windows with mid-morning light streaming through, she could swear that the raven on the other side of the yellow window was black. What an omen that would be if it were true.

Sarvente rushed to Ruvyzvat quickly, holding a piece of paper with a drawing on it. "Ruv!! Hey, Ruv!! Check this out!"

“You’re still protecting that baby I presume, it doesn’t matter since you’ll both be killed anyway.” She smirked and shouted, “Along with all the other devil children you’re hiding in here.”

“Hey, calm down, it’s gonna take more than a leg wound to take me out, you know this.” Darcel said, humming softly as he laid back down.

“Yeah, I know, but still… yikes.” Milos said, laying next to him. “Be more careful next time? Please, darling?”

Darcel nodded slightly, trying to act like the old nickname didn’t make his chest tighten. “Anything for you.”

“But there’s still guards everywhere in the castle, so I wouldn’t get too complacent, if I were you.”

Huge open squares overflowing with stalls and goods, twisting back streets and alleyways leading to all manner of shop and business, and the great Lera River which cleaved the trade and housing districts apart.

The man turned around, tapping the clipboard with his pen. “Ah, Mrs. Parker, it would seem that your daughters are here to see you.”

"Why are you mad, Juniper?! You were complicit in all this!" Killian exclaimed, the confusion on his face being utmost visible, especially to the others.

Thank gold I brought my headphones to drown out the world so the walk back isn't quiet.

"Haven't you heard, Birdie?" Clyde says, his voice light yet dripping with disdain. "I'm bad luck."

Next time we go on vacation, I'm choosing the place.
