"Yes I can," Arien mumbled. The demon had his hands in his face.
"Jesus christ he's fallen hard," he said, muffled in his palms. He still felt horrible about almost killing Rafael.

“No you can’t, Arien.” He insisted, ignoring the soft blush that appeared on his face at the demon’s comment. Was that really how Arien felt about him? If it was..Rafael was very happy to hear it.

"Why though…" Arien wrapped his arms around Rafael's, burying his face further into Rafael's shirt. He smelled nice…
"Oh my god how are they not a couple yet??" Francis asked out loud.

“Well for one thing I have to go to work. And trust me, you don’t want to go with me.” He said, doing his best to just ignore the others so he wouldn’t die of embarrassment.

"Nnnn…" Arien whined just a bit. "Why do you have to go to work??"
"Oh god! Just kiss already!!" Bruno hit Francis's arm when he said this. "Hey!"

“Umm….just because??” He replied weakly, feeling his face slowly turn beet red from all the attention.

Arien was turning red to, but he ignored his friends for now.
"I-I guess…" He huffed a bit, nuzzling against Rafael's chest now.

He chuckled. “C’mon Arien, I’m not your personal pillow.”

"But you're comfy…." Still, Arien pulled away, still with his arms around Rafael's. Arien's friends were staring at him.
"Are you sure you two aren't dating??" Dain asked.

Rafael snorted, quickly slapping his hand over his mouth in an attempt to hide it. I mean…they certainly did act like they were dating.

Arien pulled his hands up, covering his face and mumbling something under his breath.
"What was that?" Francis asked, grinning a bit.
"It wouldn't be too b-bad…" Arien admitted, voice so very, very quiet.

Rafael’s face, which had been returning to it’s normal hue, had once again turned beet red. ‘Oh my god oh my goddddd!!!’ Why couldn’t Arien have just done this when they were at home alone, where Rafael maybe wouldn’t die of embarrassment.

"Ooooooooh!!" The three friends said in chorus. Arien buried his face back in Rafael's shirt, embarrassed as hell. Stupid stupid idiot!! Why had he done this in public?!

“Oh hell no if I can’t escape you can’t either!” He grumbled, forcing Arien to sit up and stop hiding in his shirt.

"Yeha but you don't have to see their stupid judging faces-!" Arien let out a soft squeak as he was pushed back.
"Kiss!!" Francis said again, like before.

“Then close your eyes or something! I don’t know!” He threw his hands up in exasperation.

Arien figured that was as good of an idea as any, covering his head with his hands.
"Arien you love struck vampire!!" Bruno teased.

Rafael was….very conflicted right now. On the one hand, he was very happy to find out how much he meant to Arien. On the other hand however, this was so embarrassing and he wanted to curl up in a ball and die.

Francis, the one sitting closest to Rafael, lightly bumped his fist against the man's shoulder.
"Damn, man, you lucky. I don't think Arien's ever fallen for someone like this before."

“Oh really?” He wasn’t sure how that made him feel. It almost made him feel a bit sad for Arien, that he’d never had someone he loved this much in all the years he’d been alive.

"Yeah, it's always been fleeting puppy love. Not… this." The skinwalker laughed a bit. Arien let out a soft sound, leaning against Rafael's side.

If Rafael could, he would’ve rolled his eyes at Arien. ‘Why do you have to make things be so complicated Arien if this is how you really feel??’ He asked himself frustratingly.

Arien looked up at Rafael, blushing deeply still.
"I…" Damnit it, he wanted to kiss this man.

Rafael was wanting a similar thing. But more than anything he really needed to talk this through with Arien in private…or literally anywhere away from Arien’s friends.

"You good with us leaving?" Arien asked softly, just to Rafael.

Rafael nodded, doing his best not to seem too overly-excited. But failing to at least some degree.

Arien couldn't help but smile just a bit. He stood, taking Rafael's hand in his won.
"I think it's time we left. It was good seeing you guys."
"Oh, their totally gonna bang-" Bruno hit Francis in the arm.
"Dude!"

Rafael just ignored them, though now that thought was planted in his mind and he knew he wouldn’t be able to escape it for a few hours. But at least he’d be able to talk with Arien now.

Arien just hurried out of the cafe, his hand securely in Rafael's.
"I'm-" Arien didn't know what to say about what just happened.

“Soooo….are we gonna talk about what just happened in there?” He asked, desperately hoping the answer would be yes.
